- Kit (7/5): - Location A little noisy
- David (7/5): Comfortable room but spoilt by floodlight and bottle bins! - Good location, parking next to property. The beds are very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room are good. There is a floodlight outside the room which makes the room very light at night. Being next to a pub, there are bottle bins (which are located outside our room 1A). These were emptied very early in the morning, very loud! I suppose we were unlucky to stay the one night that they were emptied
- Michael (8/5): Other than above ideal. - Dinner was good but no veg option. Staff were unwelcoming, no glasses in the room, bathroom door didn't lock.
- Andrew (10/5): -
- robert (1/5): - Dirty Dirty
- Debbie (4/5): Pub looked lovely and a lovely location but I would not stay here again or reccomend unfortunately. - Location was really pretty Arrived on Friday lad behind bar wasn’t very welcoming told there was no food but is advertised for food, no breakfast available, constant slamming of doors, I should have researched but was a flight path so planes going over all night, no hooks for towels and as I was getting dressed in morning somebody tried opening door (luckily it was locked) so I had to confront man next door who said he got wrong room. Mould above window, marks on wall behind bed headboard and rust. I would have complained but with it being a bank holiday weekend knew we have trouble finding somewhere else to stay.

- Jennifer (9/5): Really enjoyable and restful. - Very good well presented surrounding, they obviously take a lot of care of the grounds. Comfortable beds. Quiet area tucked out of the way of road noise. All the facilities were clean and in good order. Pub activities finished at 10 pmish. All good.

- Brett (8/5): I’d definitely recommend this motel/pub/restaurant for a stay, we will be back again. - Good location for our needs, a two bedroom bungalow rather than rooms which was great, friendly staff, nice carvery, great outdoor area. Room hadn’t been fully made up when we checked in and got into our bungalow, not a massive issue and the guys sorted it straight away. Very apologetic and they were short staffed too I believe. Bed was quite uncomfortable though.
- Amanda (2/5): Student digs - The bed was clean and comfortable On our arrival, we got a very lukewarm greeting. After a few minutes we were handed a key. Upon entering the allocated room, we discovered it was not prepared for guests. The bed was stripped but unmade, and the room didn't look particularly clean. We went back to the bar, explained, and 2 of the staff apologised briefly, but looked startled. After another few minutes, we were allocated a new room. There was a dirty sheet on the floor, and a used towel on the back of the bathroom door! The toilet seat doesn't fit properly, the bathroom radiator was rusty, and some skirting board looked in need of repair/ cleaning.
The whole room felt like student digs, rather than guest accommodation.
The bar staff seemed a little shocked at having to deal with customers.....
We will not be back.
- Payne (9/5): - Very good value for money, the staff especially Jake were very helpful and welcoming.we stayed as a family group and found having the cottage space along separate rooms work fantastically well. Remember it's not a 6 star hotel so don't mark it down for not being one and the prices are great in regards to what you get
- Caroline (8/5): - Good facilities There was a slight musky smell. May need airing
- brereton (6/5): - Bed wasn't comfortable they didn't do food on the day we were there they don't say anything on the website
- Philip (7/5): - We stayed here to visit friends in an nearby village , the location was perfect for us. Our room was clean, basic and small, the en-suite was quite large for the size of our room. . We had the carvery at The Tap House restaurant, large portions and well priced. The people we met during our stay were really friendly too. I'd say the Tap House is an ideal choice for a stop over and good value for the price. Didn't like the noise in the morning coming from what I think was the shower , in the cottage room next door to our room, when it was in operation. And although our meal was fine , our friend had a chicken burger which was slightly under cooked, the staff were brilliant and sent back and replaced but by time it came back , everyone had finished their meal , but these slight mistakes happen.
- David (8/5): Super food and excellent beer. What more do want? - Easy parking and super carvery. The windows’ double glazing has broken down so this little room took ages to warm up.
- Mike (6/5): Average - No option for breakfast. Cottage dated. View from bedroom scruffy.
- Robert (8/5): Convenient, comfortable, good value for money. - No breakfast service. Recommended to breakfast at Cafe quarter mile down road, next to co-op, OK and convenient. Restaurant closes at 18:00. Supper available at Premier Inn off A42 interchange.
- Natasha (10/5): Perfect. Would recommend and stay again - Good location for what we needed. Comfortable, great facilities. Friendly team Nothing
- Neil (7/5): Tap house revie - Location convenient for our purposes We ate at the pub.
Nice friendly environment however food not brilliant, basically a re heated dinner time carvery.
- Shannon (7/5): Nice overall - Room was spacious, nice secluded location. Pub was beautiful and had a slide outside for the little one. Rooms were rather cold so couldn’t get a cosy feeling

- Kevin (8/5): -
- Danny (5/5): -
- Debbie (8/5): - The food, drink and hospitality in the pub was excellent The cottage just required a little TLC.
- Dave (10/5): Good as usual. - The shower in 1b needs fixing, the water was so hot you couldn't use it without scalding yourself badly.
- Jason (10/5): Excellent - N/A Excellent all round
- matthew (8/5): Good - Room Nothing, it was lovely
- Rob (8/5): -
- kay (4/5): It was a premium price for a very basic stay - We booked last minute and payed a high price for a very basic stay The bed was uncomfortable and the room was cold
- Sam (10/5): -
- Joanne (4/5): Stained bed covers and no pillow case protectors disqusting - The pub next door The room and bed was old grubby and dirty
- john (6/5): - No breakfast available, light over sink did not work
- Karen (8/5): Perfect for our needs - We have stayed here once before. The room is comfortable and clean and has everything you need. The fruit juice is a welcome extra! It was all good.
- Christopher (9/5): - Very nice staff and rooms. Lovely pub attached. A bit expensive and out of the way.
- Valerie (9/5): Nothing not to like, lovely place to stay. - Lovely , peaceful stay. We have stayed here a few times now and will do so again. Shame the hotel does not supply breakfast.
- Marie (1/5): No compassion, No care, money grabbing at its finest - Nothing. Everything
- valerie (7/5): - It was clean and the tea and coffee tray was good also ensuite was okay too Was really cold especially during night chair in room had large stain on it
- Tandiwe (8/5): - Good and cosy I ddnt get a chance to ask if there are family homes not just for 2pple otherwise everything is on point
- Powerak Installation Services Ltd (10/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Perfect for our stay! - We didn’t eat at the pub although the roast looked delicious!
They don’t offer breakfast but the fruit juice was most welcome 👍 We arrived quite late, I would have appreciated a bit more light outside the rooms
- James (10/5): - Everything. Perfect Nothing
- Hazel (10/5): - Lovely as always
- Sally (5/5): Ok for 4, uncomfortable for 5 - The location was good, the pub was lovely and the parking was great. The sofa bed was the most uncomfortable thing barring a floor I’ve ever slept on. We’d booked for 5 people but there were only 4 cups, no glasses, no dishcloth, no washing up liquid and no tea towel. The 4 beds were made up but I had to ask in the bar for a duvet cover & pillow case for the sofa bed, unfortunately I forgot to ask for a sheet and being vegan leather it was very cold & generally uncomfortable.
As there were no materials for us to wash up with, we left the accommodation somewhat messier than we would normally have liked. If we were staying for more than 1 night we would have purchased our own but for a single night it wasn’t worth it and we thought these basic items would have been provided in self catering accommodation. More toilet roll would also have been appreciated.
- stephen (9/5): - Lovely pub with adjacent rooms. Plenty of parking too. Room was perfect for our needs, warm, clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee in room, even an iron. Very good value for the money. Try the beers brewed on the premises if that's your thing! I'd be picky if I put anything. It's not the Ritz, but it's not Ritz prices. A pleasant stay will be had if you recognise it for what it is.

- Amanda (7/5): We enjoyed our stay and I will book again - Clean , comfortable and safe parking The kitchen wasn’t very well equipped. There were no glasses, oven mitt, some washing up liquid would help also
- Bryan (8/5): -
- Nanette (7/5): Adequate for one night, would certainly use the pub again based on the staff, food and ambiance. - The pub, the staff, the food, the open fire, the lovely warm rooms, the beds and bedding, the parking, the bottles of juice. One teaspoon per room, dirty wall in the bathroom which looked very unhygienic, tatty rooms, lamp past its best, no water glasses, plaster coming off the walls, replace the juice with bottles of water.
- Janice (8/5): Good place for overnight stay - Basic but very clean and had all we needed for an overnight stay. The pub serves good food and the staff were so helpful and friendly Slight problem with the plumbing next door which was very noisy and woke us up !
- hall (9/5): - Great staff very friendly room was xlean and comfortable food was beautiful Nothing
- Joanne (7/5): I’d stay again for the convenience of the venue. - The location was convenient for us Very thin walls
- Chris (7/5): -
- Sandra (6/5): Not impressed with the room and cleanliness location good - Easy parking looks pretty from the outside The Room was very basic bed not overly comfortable there was know where in the bathroom to hang your bath towels the edge around the bottom of the shower was mouldy

- Clinton (2/5): - Free parking Located some distance from other restaurants so had to drive. Reason being was that the venue 'did not serve food on mondays' I went to a restaurant a drive away and got back at 9.30pm. My room was that small it wasn't comfortable to sit and spend the evening in so I went to the bar. - I was told they had stopped serving ' it was 9.30pm and there were several locals sat in there with drinks. The room was dated and the furniture was worn. The mattress was nt supportive and you could feel the bed through it. I stay away a lot and this had to be a 2/10 room. Never again.
- Joel (7/5): - Lovely place, the pub has some great views of the countryside. Unfortunately we were awoken from midnight - 1am by a loud gentleman in the hallway.
- Coventry Roller Shutters (9/5): - Friendly And good service
Good Food With HawkStone Larger

- Lesley (7/5): Great location and beer. - Location was ideal. Beer good. There was not much soundproofing between rooms. The person in the next room snored all night. It was very noisy in our room when they flushed the toilet in the next room, plumbing needs sorting. TV only seemed to work if you had a subscription service, which we don't. Fortunately I had BBC Sounds on my phone.
- Robert (8/5): We were very pleased with a comfortable stay and particularly impressed by the staff. - Our room was good value and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the breakfast but we did have the carvery the night before which was excellent. We were not planning to walk into a village or town so the location was great. Nothing really.I suppose as neighbours return to their rooms there will inevitably be little noise for a while. The extractor fan automatically comes on when the bathroom light is switched on, which can be a bit intrusive in the night.
- daniel (4/5): OK, but slightly disappointed. - The gold beer brewed onsite was nice, and the staff were pleasant. It wasn't clear in the listing that the restaurant wasn't open on a Monday, and that no breakfasts were available. The rooms were pretty small and I could hear most of what people were talking about in the rooms next door
- Jonny (6/5): - Noisy in room, sound carries from other rooms.
- Paul (5/5): Okay for one night - The food at the Tap House pub was very good. The staff were lovely. The room was small and in need of a new coat of paint.
We thought it was overpriced.
- Richard (9/5): - Great food, tidy rooms and nice staff
- Lisa (8/5): Really good stay and would consider staying again - I really like the added extras, like the apple juice and orange juice, nice coffee machine. Rooms were lovely and well set out, beds comfy. The floor in the bathroom could be done better as it’s a trip hazard due to being poorly laid, need blackout curtains due to lights outside making it too bright in the room and new toilet brush as this was filthy.
- Jack (4/5): -
- Claire (9/5): A great visit. - It was well located for our trip, the room was clean and had all we needed. The pub staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and great value for money. Room got a bit hot throughout the night. Also we weren’t used to a feather duvet but that is just personal preference.
- Kahleigh (9/5): - Location was central for Back2festival, and easy to get to and from using Uber. Not enough milk pods, and as it is a Sunday pub not open early am to ask for more.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Edward (10/5): -
- Caroline (3/5): Poor - Bed too small my husband is 6ft2 and it had a footboard, my son didn't come otherwise he would have had to sleep on sofa, which was NOT a sofa bed, my daughter and son took old now to share. Coffee table wobbly, as if someone had fell on it, toilet door handle not fixed properly, marks on wall in bathroom not sure what, these were reported and believe getting dealt with. I came up for a friend's funeral so just not in mood to complain, also no food available on a Monday.
- Anne (10/5): Excellent value for money - The room was cosy. It was great to have a coffee machine and ironing facilities.
- Diane (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (1/5): A sad waste of what could be an excellent place to stay. - The staff were very helpful. I was offered a full refund as felt the room too unbearable to spend the night in without asking. I was willing to just cut my losses and drive home. The room was stinking of wasp spray and musty. It became evident why when I opened the window and in came a couple of wasps. The walls were disgusting, the bed was lumpy and had hairs in it. The bins hadn't been emptied from the last guest. I couldn't get BBC1 or BBC2 on the tele. There were no sockets next to the bed to charge phone. The towels were random washed out colours with stains that were only fit for a dog rescue. There was a lot of noise right outside the door from a beer garden, kids playpark and Caribean night going on.
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - The mattress was a little too soft for my liking.
- Esme (7/5): Exactly as described - Easy check in and good facilities Could do with some tlc but good value for money and exactly as pictured
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Room / bed was comfortable and reasonably priced.
Bar area is lovely
- Matthew (5/5): Passable - Bar was nice, lovely and location was good Room cleanliness could be improved - stains on carpet, dead flies under folder and strong smell of bleach.
- Mary (6/5): Fortunately we were only there one night. I would not be in a hurry to stay again! - We ate and evening meal at the restaurant which was good! The room we stayed in was very small and hot! We had to keep the door open to get a bit of air through the room!
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great for going to donington park. Food was good in the pub. Was nice to have somewhere to have a drink close by My husbands phone charger went missing on the Saturday. Room wasn't cleaned at all when we were there.
