Guest Reviews
- Jason (10/5): Jason and Nicola's honeymoon - Location was perfect, edge of old town and panoramic views of harbour area.
Very accessible to train station and near all restaurants and bars. Nothing, all perfect
- Caithlin (6/5): Well located to the attractions but far too noisy unfortunately. - Handy location to old town and the beaches, and spacious apartment to relax in Unfortunately, across the road from the apartment, was a very loud outdoor nightclub that stayed open until the early hours, where there was karaoke and the music bass shook the windows of the apartment with how loud it was. We note that we were there over the weekend. It did detract from the overall experience.
- Charles (10/5): Amazing host and place to stay for young families and those keen to explore Monopoli. - We loved the local tips Valeria gave us. The apartment itself was spacious and had all the necessary amenities needed. Cannot recommend this spot more highly! Bonus was the upstairs Terrace which offers views of the Old Town. We hope to be back one day!
- Artur (10/5): było wspaniale - lokalizacja perfekcyjna nic
- CristinaDeM (8/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): Excellent welcoming and knowledgeable host ! - Very central and excellent location with a view to the sea and lovely wrap around balcony to watch sunset ! A few stairs to climb to the apartment !
- Guest (9/5): Molto bene. - Very central location. Beautifully renovated modern apartment with a view of the harbour. It was all wonderful.
- Sophie (10/5): - Very large apartment and very clean! The balcony had amazing views
- Zoe (10/5): Wonderful stay in Monopoli - The property was in an amazing location, right in the old town with a view of the sea!
Valeria was the nicest host and took great care of us, would definitely come back to visit! N/a
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Very helpful owner. Location near port was very convenient. Very close to old city, restaurant streets, supermarket and street parking. Nice view due to 3rd floor. Apartment quite large. Great fish shop underneath. Apartment very close to a nite club, bar and park where teens and locals hangout late. Music was very loud till 3 am Thur to Sat nites. Double glazing helped. Small shower was very hard to get into. Small kitchen space for meal preparation.
- Margrét (9/5): Superb - The locarion was perfect.
- Andi (10/5): it was a nice stay, ti make come back again - best place to stay in Monopoli! very frendly and nice host! nothing
- Giovanna (1/5): Disappointing. Valeria will not help you if you need it, and will pretend there are no issues - Great location, in the centre of Monopoli. Good car parking facilities. - The owner was very confrontational and rude. The air conditioning had broken, but she refused to believe that it was (despite a technician coming and not only agreeing, but telling us that the apartment balcony was not safe!*) We had to beg for her to buy us new fans as it was very hot, and it took nearly a full day for her to bring these. She bought 2 new fans yet refused to accept that the air conditioning was broken. Initially, she told us she was going to take fans away from her mum’s house (which in my opinion was a lie and an attempt to guilt trip us). The external conditioning tank needed emptying more than twice a day and was leaking all over the balcony, which was rotting and broken. Her attitude spoilt the holiday and she continued to argue with my mum and send very passive aggressive voice notes/messages over WhatsApp. Both my mum, dad and grandparents are Italian and we are aware of what working air conditioning is- it was very clear the air conditioning broke and the owner did not take ownership of this.
- I also found a cockroach on my bed in the middle of the night which was horrifying and needs no further explanation.
- Also be mindful that this apartment is opposite a beach club, which plays music until 1:30am on weekdays and 2:30am on weekend. Not a huge problem, but on top of broken air conditioning this was not the best way to spend a few nights sleep.
- Advertised to be for 4 people however there was not enough cutlery for 4 people and there was 1 wine glass. Poorly stocked of crockery.
- Window shutters were broken and unsafe
I will be taking this up with booking.com as I believe that this property is not safe, which Valeria admitted to after a technician came to view the property. She told us that she forgot to mention that we should not use the window shutters due to safety (this was a lie, she omitted this information) and that work on the windows/balcony will begin in October. This is no use to us or anyone going before then.
- Nolowiggy (9/5): Nice apartment in a beautiful setting near the sea. - Very good situation near everything, restaurants, beach.... Beautiful view from the apartment. Very clean and you have everything you need in the apartment. Very comfortable beds. The owner was very kind to us and even helped us with our luggage and told us a place where to park free just 5 minutes walk from the flat. Thank you for everything!
- Angela (8/5): Our host Valerie was brilliant, picking us up after a long delay from the train station. Valerie ‘checked’ in with us r - Very bright, spacious and well equipped. Amazingly comfortable bed. Nice wrap around balcony with street and sea views over the port.
Very central location, five minute walk to cafés and grocery stores in one direction, the port old town bars and restaurants in the other. There is nothing to dislike about the property. The shower is over a small bath so might not be suitable for less agile guests.
The property is in a busy hub, with great atmosphere, however guests should be aware that this is not the quietist location which needs to be embraced as part of a holiday experience.
- Enikő (10/5): Nice, spacious, bright apartment. - Great location: 2 minutes walk to the main square of the old town, 1 minute walk to the main square of the town, 2 minutes walk to the sea, 10 minutes walk to the train station.
A wonderful view of the port.
Very nice host.
We had a great time. We will be back again, I hope :)
- Jaroslaw (8/5): Very good - Location No glass, no wash machine
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): We would stay here again next time - Perfect location, on the edge of the old town with a view of the sea, top floor of the corner house with a balcony,10 minutes from the train station on foot.
The apartment is very bright, spacious, and well equipped, nice decoration. The bed was very comfortable.
Valeria is the best host you could ask for, very kind and helpful. A little bigger bathroom.
- Ganea (10/5): Excelent - The host was awesome, she took us from the train station when we arrived and also took us to the train station when we left. The apartment is very big, I think there is enough space for two couples, or for a family with children. There is no problem with the light in the morning. The location is very good, very close to the old town, 2-3 minutes walking. The garbage car in the morning, makes a lot of noise, bot this is not a property problem because it happens everywhere.
