Guest Reviews
- Karla (10/5): Take Me To Church - Laurie was a wonderful host, excellent chef, writer, artist! I sent pictures of my gourmet breakfast to my friends, presented on lovely china. Communication easy, the Inn was a converted church. Eclectic mix of art, and unique furnishings.
Would absolutely stay if I drive through again. 0
- Robyn (9/5): - It's unique, the owner is amazing and so welcoming. Could use darker shades on the window as it gets a little bright when the sun pops up.
- Jacob (10/5): -
- Mariia (10/5): The best experience we ever have - It was the best experience! We were so surprised — the breakfast was amazing. Laurie was incredibly sweet! We were the only guests that night, and she woke up early to make a delicious breakfast just for us. It was the best banana bread I’ve ever had. Such an amazing place!
- Jim (9/5): Throughly enjoyed our stay- Laurie was such a gracious host, willing to help us with everything from finding records of - Unique, walkable location- amazing host! Wonderful culinary breakfasts included making it an amazing value Prefer a larger (king size) bed. Warm at night
- Mark (10/5): Staying here was exquisite if you like discovering the non ordinary. - This unique stay was unlike any other and memorable. The accommodations were welcoming and peacefully comforting as well as the conversations with hostess Laurie. Everything in this inn comes with a story. I would have liked to stay longer just to read from her book collection and hear more about her gallery of art pieces. And the best was last with breakfast; a culinary delight seemingly prepared with us in mind. The place was so different from stays elsewhere ;making it hard to find anything I did not like.
- Sheri (10/5): -

- Kym (10/5): Wonderful - Location was great just 1 block from main street. Beautiful brick building and well renovated and Laurie has it nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and the host is wonderful absolutely nothing to complain about!
- Evan (10/5): An amazing experience. - What an exceptional place to stay in such a small town. Laurie was professional and attentive to my needs. I must say I have not experienced a stay like this ever! A fan was left on upstairs and made a repetitive annoying noise every 20 seconds all night.
- Kym (10/5): -

The location is perfectly located near downtown for walking shops and to the theatre, it felt safe, it was clean and so tastefully decorated! You fall in love with it and the host immediately. And the breakfasts were divine!! Nothing! Only I wish I lived closer to it so I could stay there more often

- Michael-Christina (10/5): Home Away from Home...with better breakfast! - The building has so much character and just reflects Laurie perfectly. It is a beautiful place that is eccentric but calming and we loved it! She was welcoming right from the start, made a delicious breakfast, and makes you feel like you want to come back over and over again! The common area in the basement is a wonderful addition so you can visit and play games. That we couldn't stay longer.
- Josefino (10/5): - Breakfast was spectacular, served on china and made fresh by host who is an actual chief. She asked if we had any strong dislikes or allergies and assured us she would make something yummy. We did not get to choose but were more than surprised by the quality of the food.
- Christine (9/5): WONDERFUL - Laurie is such a friendly host. Loved the homey decor. She welcomed our dog. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL. This woman is a killer Chef! Our only reason that we didn't put a 10 is that the room very warm and there's no air conditioning. There was a small fan, but it did feel a bit stuffy. Just something to keep in mind for those hot times of the year.
- Leif (10/5): Excellent value and we will be back. - What a beautiful, character property this is. It’s so nice to see an old church find a new life as someone’s dream idea. The food was outstanding and Laurie the owner was excellent. Her communication and attention to detail as she renovated this property were clearly evident. So much love went into how she decorated it. Some people might not like the stairs to the lower level but we had no issues.

- Fraske (9/5): - We booked the Old Stone Inn for a family event. We stayed in the 3 rooms downstairs and had a family dinner for 20 in the event space upstairs. The 3 bedrooms each have their own bathroom and there is also a shared kitchen. The dining room was decorated with beautiful and in some cases eccentric finishings - it made the evening so special. The breakfast was amazing - definitely do not skip. Highly recommend if you want to hold a private event.
- Gina (10/5): -
- Karla (10/5): - Great rooms, fantastic breakfast, and separate entrance for after hours. We had a great stay and Laurie is a friendly host (and had super local recommendations as well!)
- Karyn (10/5): -
- Jean (10/5): Very unique and inviting. - Clean and cozy. Great breakfast. Lovely host.
- Rmck07 (10/5): A wonderful surprise - Everything! Great hostess. Incredible breakfast, which was later extended with a bag of healthy treats to take with me. A very relaxed and refreshing stay. One felt like "part of the family" by the time I left. That I could not stay longer and enjoy some of the surrounding area. (The hostess's mother is actually a great resource regarding what to see ins southeastern Saskatchewan.)
- Latiful (10/5): Excellent property. We will stay again. Highly recommend - Host was amazing. The location was perfect, walkable to downtown and parks.
- Wayne (10/5): What a excepcional stay in Estevan,SK! Thanks Laurie - Very comfortable bed, breakfast was awesome, shower supper, clean and Laurie was a great host.
- Tom (10/5): Comfy, Clean, Cozy, and Delicious Breakfast. - This accommodation was a delightful experience. The host is friendly and skilled in the culinary arts. The inn is very comfortable and clean. I don't usually say this about an accommodation: The coffee was fantastic - 'pour over' like a barista! I also enjoyed the tea options, and the book selection provided for guests. We had a cozy and comfortable evening. Note that the room is fairly compact - and may feel constricting if you have several bags. There is a common space just outside the room that compensates for this a bit, The rooms are downstairs, so luggage needs to be carried in. Watch for a low ceiling corner on the way down too.
- Stephan (10/5): Surprised to find such a jem out of the beaten track. Thanks Laurie for the great stay. - Laurie is caring and energetic and with her background in catering, she knows how to prepare a great coconut/vegetable soup and succulent vegetable omelet. The bacon is out out of this world. I was really surprised to find such quality in a small village. Well, the suit was outstanding, she purchase the place recently and lot of work was done, and there still some but still worth the detour to stay there for a weekend.
