- Carol (10/5): Quiet, comfortable accommodation near to everything in Freemantle. - The house was in a safe gated mews and felt very secure for me as a lone elderly female. There was everything you need for a short or longer break. Comfortable and airy and lots of outdoor seating including an enclosed a courtyard area with washing line ideal for drying laundry. I appreciated the supply of toiletries, laundry liquid, and enough tea and coffee and milk to have a cuppa when I arrived late after my flight from Adelaide. I stayed for a week and made breakfast and salads mostly but there was equipment enough to cook proper meals if I wanted. It is very near to frequent buses on the free route from the railway station to South Beach. It was just 3-4 stops, less than 5 minutes ride or easily walkable to the supermarket, ferry terminal to Rottnest Island or the railway station with trains to Perth and the airport every 15 minutes for a few dollars. Lots to do in Freemantle and this is a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring the local area. There is a bar opposite the house gates and yet there is no noise to be heard from it. I would use it again if ever I am in Freemantle. I thought the only thing missing was some cushions on the very ample sofa.

I appreciated the explicit and clear instructions for access as well as information provided about the facilities and local area. As I was half-way through holidays, I especially appreciated the laundry facilities. The off-street and secure parking was also very welcome While host had supplied everything needed in the kitchen for cooking and preparing meals, it would've been helpful to have basic provisions such as oil, and a few herbs & spices.

Could hear the music blasting from the bar across the street late Saturday night but that’s ok, nothing you can do about that.

Spacious, well appointed apartment, with a balcony and sunny small courtyard.
Functional kitchen and a good washing machine.
Comfortably furnished. No double glazing to reduce street/party noise on busy nights.

- Linda (9/5): I would highly recommend the townhouse for somewhere to stay in Fremantle. - The townhouse was well equipped with everything you might need and very clean. David thought of everything. Very easy to find and it was a short walk into the main town. Friday and Saturday nights were a bit noisy as there is a pub on the opposite side of the road.

Security of unit a big PLUS, behind a locked gate at entrance.
Unit exceptionally clean.
Unit extremely well appointed, 3 sets of bath towels, plus face washers, toilet spray in both downstairs and upstairs toilets. (A definite PLUS for me, as I usually take my own), great large coffee mugs, so many kitchen utensils and extras like glad wrap, aluminum foil, paper towel. Host even supplied 2 beach towels.
Bed absolutely comfortable, with really nice linen.
Comfortable lounge, great television. Host had books to read and plenty of tourist information brochures.
Washing machine, washing liquid, pegs and a pull out washing line in the secure outside patio area.
Undercover parking right in front of unit.
Requested an early check-in. When we arrived host himself was just completing the cleaning of the unit. David was really great. Very friendly and helpful.
This accommodation was outstanding in all areas, 10 out of 10 is not a high enough score. Highly recommend this unit. If coming back to Fremantle will definitely be booking this unit with David again. Absolutely nothing!

Property owner has failed to elaborate on what was 'not good enough' about the property after stay beyond saying it took 3 hours to clean - note 2 story, 2 bedroom townhouse stayed in for a 1 week period, I anticipate it wouldn't take a minute to clean... in any event, no specific problem or concern noted nor prior warning, nor response since. The shower was not good as difficult to regulate the heat (just get the temperature right and it would go cold). For the accommodation type, I would expect a better (updated) shower system.

- Kevin (10/5): Ideal position, safe, quiet and very comfortable. - It was a comfortable unit extremely close to Fremantle and South Fremantle, a couple of minutes walk. The unit it situated behind a secure gate. Communication with our host, David, was clear and accurate. Early arrival was catered for. There is plenty of room for a couple. Having access to a washing machine was great as we were there for seven days. The bakery near by was exceptional, beautiful food and very reasonably priced. There wasn’t much that could be improved. At times the shower temperature varied, as mentioned in previous reviews. Also the internet kept cutting out quite frequently, which was a little frustrating. But no main issues at all.

The property was great. The only thing I found tricky was the road noise. We were also able to access the accommodation a little earlier so we appreciated that. Communication with David was first class. The shower was a little temperamental going from hot to cold and back again for no apparent reason.

The location was within walking distance to central Fremantle, close to cafes, supermarkets, and even a butcher. The townhouse was nice and clean, and the electric blankets were a huge help during winter. The only downside was the bedroom curtains, which didn’t block out much sunlight, waking us up early.

We had a car and only used it one day out of the four. Walked to cafes, bars, restaurants, hairdresser, ferry. The shower. It went hot and cold even when you did not touch taps and no one was opening other taps. Was very frustrating.

- Lily-rose (9/5): Lovely place - Location was awesome. Townhouse was clean and comfortable, a very good size and good amenities. Our stay was very relaxing. The furniture in the Booking.com photos are different to what’s in the actual house, but it looks much nicer in person. Not particularly a bad thing depending on taste but my partner and i found the bed to be extremely firm and a bit uncomfortable. Parking is very tight for large cars.
