• Suriakumarie (4/5): Unsatisfactory - Spacious Requested accommodation ON BEACH but it was NOT! had to walk across road ... 5 minutes to beach kitchen and main shower tile grouting was being done at time of check-in Cleaner was still cleaning apartment.

But we got the correct number and went to collect the keys, about 5min away. No designated parking, we just assumed we can park in front of garage which was locked.

• Nivern (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was very clean and extremely comfortable. We loved that it was in the near proximity to the beach. It didn't have a sandwich press and airfryer. Also no smart tv.

• Robert (3/5): A lot of maintenance needs to be done in this apartment. - The location of C9 Salamander is good: close to the good restaurants & supermarkets of Umhlanga Rocks and Ridge. Fast answers from the agency. The lay-out of the apartment is a bit weird: for the bedrooms its like if you’re sleeping in the cellar. The third bedroom is made in extension of the 1st bedroom: if the 3th bedroom is used you don’t have daylight in the 1st bedroom. There is a lot of maintenance to be done in the apartment ( extractor hood doesnt work, cockroaches in the kitchen, sunshades outside filthy and cracked etc etc). When I made a list and emailed to the agent they started immediately but did send maintenance people when we were in. They also wanted to spray for cockroaches while we were in. Nice for people after us but not even an excuse for us. There are a lot of better accomodations to find in Umhlanga.

• Robin (4/5): Nice but host weren't really friendly and asking if you can take pictures on our stay is ridiculous - Host sent cleaner to take photos of condition of place while we were there and walked in on a video call to show the place while a friend was getting dressed (this is ridiculous) and left 1 towel for 5 people and still phoned to ask if didnt take towels
• Pretty (3/5): Poor - The place is quiet no noise. It is closer to the mall. The place is huge. There is privacy because you get the whole apartment you don't share it with anyone. Water was warm. It had all the appliances. The place was not clean at all. The toilets and the bath tub were dirty. There were cockroaches coming out of the fridge and the microwave. We couldn't warm up our food. The linen and the blankets were dirty my baby kept on having an allergic reaction. The service from the staff was also poor. There's no one to welcome you at the gate and you have to collect the key from another place which is a bit far from the accommodation, they also assume that you have a car so they assume that you can go and collect the key from that place of which was not the case so I had to bolt to that place to collect the key. They also tell you about this on the day of arrival they don't specify this on the website. Also when you get to your accommodation, you get lost because there is no one to welcome you and show you your apartment l. Ended up going up and down the stairs, called the staff member she explained then she put me on hold told me that she would call back and she didn't had go around the accommodation looking for my apartment.

• Hlengiwe (1/5): Bad, bedroom ND kitchen are my favorite I was disappointed - Self catering, location was close to everything The apartment was not cleaned on arrival, the cleaner came the next day she did nothing,the floor was not cleaned until the day we checked out. They are Cockroaches in the kitchen, extra blankets in the bedroom are dirty they stink.
• Elaine (5/5): Passable - Location was excellent, facilities had everything The cupboards were infested with cockroaches in the kitchen, toaster, they were crawling all over the counter tops and stove. We actually had to purchase disposable cups and plates to use.
• Lizette (5/5): We enjoyed the location and stay. - I loved the location. We could not use the safe: no key Bedding seemed old and lounge seats dirty. The table on the balcony was a bit dirty. The apartment can be upgraded.
• Thobejane (1/5): Property needs to be renovated and fumegated. It is poorly taken care off, stuffy is the word of our - Location is very close to our favorite beach. The beds were uncomfortable, there bed bugs that made us leave the property early, my body is still itchy. The unit we stayed in needs a lot of work, it felt stuffy, had cockroaches, rusted bins in the kitchen amd in the bathroom. The sheets are also not nice and the pillows also had a stuffy scent. The place needs to be relooked at and possibly redone.

I made several call until Thursday but my request was never attended to There were lots of mosquitos and it was too hot with fan or air condition. That was the worst experience I encountered. I did not enjoy the stay with my entire family. THE VALUE FOR MONEY WAS NOT HONORED AT ALL.
