It took us 10mins to the old town and there is not as noisy as in the old town. The water in the room was terrible. Sometimes the water was extremely hot and sometimes really really cold. We have to take shower with the pause.

Once, they saw me carrying me bags from across the streets and they took the initiative to help with the bags from across the road! Thank you Not that it was something I didn't like but the hallway can get slightly noisy, so do bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Lots of food choices down the block. Breakfast buffet was good and they included eggs or pho to order. Staff was very professional. I took the hotel up on their offer for airport pickup and the service was flawless. Totally worth it. Bit noisy when windows were open. Room was a little tight on space but to be expected in urban location.

- Krista (7/5): Nice, but wouldn’t stay another night. - I liked that they upgraded me to a bigger room, so the bathroom was nice and spacious. It wasn’t as quiet as I had hoped. The bed was large and comfortable, but unfortunately very noisy. The minibar fridge made such a loud humming sound that I had to unplug it. Breakfast was also underwhelming. For guests with Western preferences, the selection was very limited, consisting only of coffee, white toast, a croissant, and cereal. Overall, it offered nothing particularly special.

Good choice of freshly cooked eggs though. The pho was good. Very comfortable room, nice bathroom. Good mattress, clean sheets and towels. Wonderful staff, friendly, efficient and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Hot water wasn't very hot. It was fine in the shower, but I would have preferred a bit hotter for shaving

- Lakheni (5/5): I wouldn't book this property, there are better options in Hanoi - The staff were friendly, especially Chin. They were welcoming and always had a smile upon seeing guests. This hotel is not a 4-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I booked this property because I wanted to be in the French Quarter to avoid the noise in the Old Quarter. This ended up being a big mistake. The room I booked had a sliding door which was poorly constructed and let all sound and air into the room. It felt like I was sleeping outside. The bathroom had a bathtub that only had a shower head and no tap. It flooded after every use. The water was also cold. I took showers in the morning and evening, and the water was either lukewarm or cold. On the days that I stayed at the property, the weather was chilly, so that was an unbearable experience. The breakfast at this property is criminal. I went once and never again. The egg rice was burnt, and the crumbed chicken stale. The property should not offer breakfast because they clearly cannot afford to. I couldn't get any sleep because of the constant noise and cold coming in from outside. I had booked and paid for an 8-night stay, but I left after three nights, and looked for another hotel. I was happy to accept the loss as a sunk cost for my comfort and sanity. Ironically, that hotel was in the Old District and I could sleep peacefully in that property which was on a noisy and busy street.

The staff were so lovely and helpful, particularly Ms Chip One minor thing is that the fire alarm flashes light regularly at night which is a little annoying. Good to know it’s working but if you were a super light sensitive sleeper it could be an issue. Note that the spa services are not on site (but they will arrange free transport)

Good value for money as long as you don't have a streetside room. Beds a little firm, breakfast a bit average. Loud, early morning announcements via the government speaker outside our room were very disruptive (not the hotel's fault) - avoid the streetside rooms.

- Hutchins-perkins (7/5): Great staff and location. - Hotel staff were lovely and the location is walking distance from everything you’d want to see. The room itself is nice with a good size bed, clean bedding and nice enough bathroom. We could hear the people in the room down the corridor talking on the phone for ages and every time someone went to the toilet in room above. The breakfast was nothing to write home about except the omelette option was nice.
