Guest Reviews
- Gillian (9/5): The Jungle Theme Lodge is Fun and Family Friendly...very creative and well equipped - Beds could be more comfortable A welcome pack would be a nice touch
- Tagg (9/5): Wild Jungle Lodge - Fantastic location, comfortable clean lodge with great decor, hot tub was well-maintained and regularly cleaned. Some kitchen utensils need updating (in particular blunt knives) and twin bed matresses were very hard.
- Laila (9/5): Wonderful thank you - Really clean, fully equipped and comfortable. Great communication from owners too. Nothing
- Claire (9/5): -
- lynsey (10/5): - We had a great time, lodge was lovely and the kids enjoyed the animal theme. Hot tub was great too.

- Sophie (8/5): Really lovely location + cabin. Well Worth Visiting & we would return! - Really lovely location, can’t go wrong for a short stay right on the loch front. Adequate space for a big group, we came as a three + dog and it was perfect. Properly is lovely and we’d definitely return but a few small negatives.
- The beds aren’t too comfortable and are dipping therefore could do with looking at.
- The back gate out of property where the hottub is situation remained unlocked throughout the entirety of our stay which felt a little unsecure.
- Some areas of the cabin could do with a little look at since there was damaged elements and as a result I felt I had to take images of to ensure our damage deposit would returned.
- Gwen (7/5): Good comfortable stay but could have been a wee bit more attention to the cleaning - Nice lodge good location with hot tub Lodge was clean but felt could do with a deep clean as under couch there was rubbish and hadn’t been hoovered (I had to move it slightly when looking for my sons phone) and there were cobwebs in areas……it was clean but just needed a wee bit extra attention. There was some extras in the lodge you could use but some of it felt cluttered. The pet smell was quite distinct as you enter lodge. The host was friendly and attentive.
- steve (10/5): - Lovely location. Felt very homely and cosy. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch. And the hot tub cover was easy to take off and put back on.
- Lorna (8/5): - Lovely family holiday and the lodge with hot tub was great. Perfect location. Quite and had everything we needed Only small issue we had was one really uncomfortable bed
- Huw (9/5): -
- Emma (8/5): Great lodge overall but third room very uncomfortable - The jungle retreat is a lovely cabin with everything that you need, home from home. The hot tub was lovely and the decor was jungle themed which my kids loved. The site is itself is lovely with some fairly good amenities . £20 a hit for a family of 4 to go swimming so a bit expensive but the pool etc was really nice. The jungle retreat has three bedrooms and personally we felt only two of them were comfortable enough to sleep in. The third bedroom has a futon type floor bed which was completely un usable. There are hard wooden bars on the underneath of the futon which comes right through to the mattress. It was really disappointing to be honest. We ended up having to get my son to sleep in it sideways in between two of the bars. We tried extra cushions and duvets etc but even a large thick mattress topper wouldn't make it comfortable enough for an adult to sleep on or a child larger than an average 4 year old.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely lodge with hot tub in a beautiful area - The property was clean and well decorated, the jungle theme was an added bonus Unable to find fault with the property
- Tara (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): The lodge was perfect 2 little girls just loved the theme as soon as they walked through the door, smiles, happy childre - Bright, clean, everything I needed.
Anything I asked I got a response from helpful friendly owner,
- Diane (8/5): Didn’t get entry details online but soon sorted once contacted the owner by phone - Liked the hot tub Single beds too hard for our liking
- Gill (1/5): Scammed out of deposit and overcharged for unmaintained Lodge. Underwhelming. - Very little. Lost £150 deposit (no response from seller. Contacted multiple times). Unclean Lodge, marketed as kid friendly, but filled with unnecessary tat, mostly glass or electrical goods easily accessible to a toddler. Decking falling apart and all round disappointment. No access to amenities at Hunters Quay. One thing I did enjoy about my holiday was finally leaving the lodge. Hopefully my newlywed wife allowed the next residents to be in a habitable lodge. We were there for our honeymoon (minimoon) and it was so disappointing we had to re-book another location. My newlywed wife spent out first 3 days cleaning the lodge as it was filled with Dust, grime and lack of attention. We had booked a 3 bedroom, but as we only had three people staying, the third bedroom was locked. Also the Lodge was exceptionally cold at times as the owner controls the heating.
- Iain (8/5): Big enough and close to everything - Everything at hand all good and hot tub 5 seater so more than big enough All good
- Alan (9/5): -
- Helen (8/5): - Clean and comfortable, no complaints
- Paul (10/5): Amazing cabin on an amazing site - The property is spacious and clean. Hot tub is massive along with the outside decking. The grounds were the cabin is situated are kept impeccable I don’t have a bad word to say at all
- Kirsten (8/5): - The hot tub was amazing. The lodge was in a lovely, quiet location with beautiful views. It had everything we needed for our stay, plenty of kitchen utensils, washing up liquid, etc.
Hunter's Quay resort is beautiful and so clean. Plenty to do with the kids and the food in the restaurant was lovely. The lodge could be doing with a lick of paint, it looks a bit run down compared to others I seen. It could have also been a bit cleaner inside. It was clean enough but needed a deep clean around the window ledges, etc. Would have also been good to have a clothes drying rack.
- Noreen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mayank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorna (9/5): Superb - Really peaceful and quiet. Loved the location and hot tub made our weekend so relaxing. Lodge had everything we needed N/A
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (8/5): Lovely comfortable lodge. - Lodge has everything you could need. Lots of kitchen equipment, essentials and home comforts. A minor thing that would be helpful is a nest of tables in lounge as our son took the one table for his toys 😂
- Gordon (10/5): Tranquil stay wife my family! Dog loved it - Lodge was beautiful, everything you need there if you didn't want to leave the Lodge! Take your food for the week/weekend and enjoy the country bliss. Hot tub was huge, had to wait for it to heat up but you have instructions telling you so... don't act surprised... the reason is they clean it for you! The bins were miles away, only gripe
- Ratcliffe (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
