- Fadi (1/5): Worth ever - I booked this property for five nights but was forced to leave after the first night.
From the moment I arrived, there was a very strong and unpleasant sewage-type smell coming from the backyard. Neighbours confirmed it is related to septic systems in this street. This area does not have a mains sewage system, which can be verified on the local council website. The smell was constant and made the place very uncomfortable to stay in. The owner tried to say it came from the ocean, which was clearly not true.
I also found a woman’s hair on the bed (photo available), which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and whether the property had been properly prepared.
I contacted the owner immediately, but he showed no interest in fixing the problems or offering any solution. I returned the keys and left after one night. He refused any refund.
After I had already left, he sent me SMS messages falsely claiming that I stayed for the full length of the booking and that he had “video footage” to prove it. This was more than a day after I had left. This is completely untrue.
He also claimed that the hair on the bed came from my wife’s head, even though I was alone and no one accompanied me. If any video footage actually existed, it would clearly show that I arrived alone.
On top of this, the owner was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, and made offensive and racist comments, including telling me to ‘go back home.’
Because of the hygiene issues, the unbearable smell, and the owner’s dishonest and abusive behaviour, I strongly advise others to avoid this property
