• Susan (9/5): A great place to relax and unwind after exploring Amsterdam - We loved the location because it was easy to get in and out of Amsterdam by means of the reliable and frequent bus and metro services, so we could see the sights and enjoy the city, but come back to a quiet and peaceful environment for relaxation and sleep. You can be in Amsterdam Centraal station easily in half an hour, including the 5 minute walk from the apartment to the bus stop. We also had lots of nice chats with local residents whilst waiting at the bus stop, so felt very welcome in the area. We found some good local restaurants which we preferred to dining in the city centre and there are shops and a supermarket within easy walking distance. The property is an annex of the owner's home and is a little studio apartment with its own shower room, kitchen-dining-sleeping area and a bit of private garden. The shower was very luxurious with lots of hot water. We didn't prepare anything more complex than breakfast whilst we were there so can't comment on the kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable so we slept very well and it was nice to relax in the garden and listen to the birds. Also there is a nature reserve within easy walking distance which we enjoyed as a good change from being the in city. Sandra and her husband were great hosts who were there to welcome us on arrival and who provided all sorts of tasty goodies for us which were an unexpected but enjoyable bonus. If we get the chance to come back to Amsterdam, we would like to stay here again. There's not a lot of storage space, so if you are staying for a while (we were there for a week) you need to organise yourself to keep things tidy and relaxing
