• Gresham (1/5): - I liked the quirky little hobbit type sheds There is no curtain on the door so any one can look into the lodge. The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable. The Continental breakfast was just thrown together and not worth the extra money. We didn't even get to go into the hot tub the instructions for location were not horrendous as well

• Lydia (8/5): Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back again! - Everything was set up for us upon arrival and the room was really clean and spacious. The view of the duck pond was lovely. We ordered a takeaway and had some trouble with the delivery with the location but there is an air fryer in the room which isn’t advertised on the booking so you could take food. My partner tried to surprise me with the romantic add on package so he rang up with all of the booking information and offered to pay over the phone as the booking was through my account which meant he wouldn’t be able to make it a surprise as I would see the messages. The person he spoke to on the phone said that it could only be added on through booking.com which he couldn’t do so I would say if you are wanting to add anything on make sure you book it under your account. The bed was comfortable but a little unstable on the legs so we felt like we needed to be really careful getting in and out but apart from that it was all lovely.
• Lani (4/5): Disappointing - would expect the accomodation to be clean for the price. - The bed was comfy and the hot tub was hot on arrival. Customer service was good - we spoke to Mel a few times and she was very helpful. We were moved to The Hogwarts due to a double booking, and when we arrived, the accomodation was unclean. Dirty pans, large dusty cobwebs above our bed, 15 dirty shot glasses left in the fridge, with our "breakfast hamper" veg thrown on top of them. Cigarette butts outside the front door. Blinds were warped and did not function. Lack of cooking utensils - only a whisk and a large metal spoon.

• Kassie (10/5): Hidden retreat! Perfect for a family getaway - Such a lovely pod and added bonus of the hot tub and the sauna. The views from the decking was amazing
• Adeniran (9/5): Excellent - It was a superb experience for my children they really enjoyed the dinosaur adventure, the hot tub was also part of the best bit. Maybe a small cooker but the air fryer also did wonders

• Sian (10/5): Relaxing and tranquil x - Lovely night away, beautiful! Sauna is amazing and the hot tub was all ready for when we got there. Room is lovely. Area is stunning. The golf is great. The coffee shop outside is fab give it a try! Just fab. We’ll be staying again! The other stays they have are really nice too worth having a look at the others so if you stay again trying another one out! Nothing

• Danielle (10/5): Perfect little romantic getaway - Location was lovely. Gorgeous private little getaway. Really friendly owners and the facilities were great. We enjoyed watching the resident ducks while using a readily warmed up hot tub. We would have planned meals better if we knew about the airfryer in advance. The pictures only suggested a microwave was available. Possibly provide a mop for when water is taken inside when traveling from the hot tub

• Catherine (9/5): Perfect little get away - Easy to get to, good hottub & sauna, much-needws air conditioning, cute ducks as it's by a pond, attentive & friendly staff Nothing really, albeit a hair dryer would have been useful
• Matthew (8/5): Was nice and quirky if your into theme stays this be the one for you but make sure go bring plenty lighter fluid. - Loved how quirky the place looks and the themed accoms . Mini golf on site was awsome ! And the guy who runs it his ideas he has are brilliant wish him all the best . Ducks and baby ducks outside the lodge was cute too . Just a few minor things that would make it so much more . Tea and coffee checked regularley. As ours was not topped up and rock hard . Cleaner needs to check cutlery and cups as when arrived they had lipstick on them and was filthy . Maybe do more for your birthday packagies add ballons and maybe more than one banner . When walked in to surprise my partner everything was slummed on the table in the corner banner was screwed up so wasnt put up proply . Wasnt what i was expecting for the price . More sturdy bed with a solid frame not thin slates as was nervous of moving and it breaking . Loved how private the personal area was to the hot tub but maybe some sort of decor around it or green fake leaf fenceing somthing to cut off the outside world and lights that work as solar power on the second night was pitch black no outdoor lighting . Someone to check on the hot tubs and sauna regularly and keeping them to a good temp instead of the guests havingbto do it themselves end of the day we pay alot and ment to be there to relax not to be on our knees trying to get a fire going and to keep it going . Was alot of work lol . Showers do not cater for people who 6ft3 either was literally stood with door open sholders wall to walk haha was like taking a shower in a bucket . Also customer service could have been better at the shop .. asked if they had charcoal and instead of politly told no i was answered with by a person “were not a f@#king garage ! “ and there a shop 20 min walk from here .

• Becky (10/5): A wonderful, chilled family weekend in comfort and beautiful surroundings - It was so cute and spacious at the same time, quaint yet modern. Had our own sauna, hot tub and bbq, with views over lake. It’s unfortunate that the main road running outside is so noisy, but not the property’s fault. Would have been nice to have some privacy around our hot tub, but didn’t spoil the holiday.

• Coleen (8/5): Very good - Easy to find, lots of different style pods/cabins to stay in, right next to a duck pond. Was nice to have a sauna aswell as a hot tub, both had been prepared ready for arrival. Any communications with staff prior to arrival were responded to quickly and in a very friendly welcoming manner. Bed was clean and comfortable. No particular dislikes, but if we were to be picky, we were right by the communal firepit, which made us feel somewhat overlooked and lacking privacy. (One of the only hottubs not provided with a privacy screen) Nowhere to put dry towels/dressing gowns when in/out of the hot tub. Front door could use privacy film over glass..We were getting changed ready for the sauna when a lady knocked on to advise us about the bbq, having to make a dash for the bathroom while half dressed to save the embarrassment.

The location of The Shire Pod is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of wildlife and the opportunity to explore the picturesque surroundings. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Their passion for creating a memorable guest experience is evident in every detail, from the immaculate cleanliness of the pod to the thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. In summary, The Shire Pod in Ombersley is a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. It's the perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this enchanting retreat and look forward to returning in the future.
