Guest Reviews
- Patrick (7/5): Fix the shower - Cheap and cheerful, good location Terrible shower
- Heather (10/5): A lovely, cozy cottage for relaxing! - The location was beautiful and quiet, overlooking Donegal Bay. The chalet had everything we needed for cooking, and it is close to a shop for groceries, a restaurant, and the TFI local link bus stop for transportation. We had a reliable internet connection and were cozy and comfortable during our stay. The bus got us to Donegal Town and Ballyshannon/Sligo for shopping and sightseeing. There’s no beach for that part of Rossnowlagh, but it wasn’t a big problem for us. There was a path down to the rocky shore and we enjoyed the privacy by the water there.
- Prunty (7/5): - Good location
- Louise (10/5): The perfect base - Small and compact, exactly what I was looking for. It had everything we needed and was the perfect location for beach days.
Very dog friendly with a shared grassy area at the front and enclosed garden at the back. Extra pillows would be great as my son stole mine 🙄

- SHAUNEEN (7/5): Good location, making - The property is in a good location. A few minutes walk to local pub/ restaurants and the smuggglers creeek trail is yards away, leading to a pebbled cove. The property itself could do with a little TLC, needs updated and furniture cleaned. It has its own gated, closed off back yard which others staying walk through, meaning it’s not your space.
- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Location perfect close to the beach, shop and cafe there all within walking distance. The wee walk down to the creek gives you excellent views all round. The chalet was perfect and it’s a beautiful place you relax. Shane and Philomena are excellent hosts. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend to anyone. Our two dogs loved it as well and settled in as if it was home.
Thanks again Shane for everything.

- Maria (5/5): Short break beside a beautiful beach - Very, close to the beach, could see it from the cottage, actually within walking distance. Smugglers Creek Inn was within walking distance also, food was amazing and it was dog friendly 😁 the Gaslight was close also ,wasn't dog friendly so we got a takeaway , food was lovely, staff in both very friendly. First time ever was charged extra for taking our dog, , anywhere else we stayed, it stated possible charge for pets but never was charged extra. Thought the price we were charged, was definitely enough, for what we actually got. TV was far to small, for where it was situated and 99% of the time was no signal anyway. With a dog with us, we were slightly restricted in the evening where or what to do, so we were in the cottage earlier than normal, therefore would have been nice to be able to actually watch something on the TV. The cottage would need to be updated, very old building, not much work done to it
- Váradi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chrissie-boy (10/5): A hidden jewel in Ireland - The view was unbelievable, the chalet itself was perfect everything you needed was there, everything you needed for a beautiful stay
The beach was perfect, the weather unbelievable one regret was we didn't book long enough
The 2 restaurants only a 5 minute walk with beautiful food the beach was easy access for the car Nothing to dislike

- Susan (10/5): Lovely to be near beach and restaurants - Great location great value
Perfect for reason for being in the area
- Alison (1/5): Very disappointing - Great location and unfortunately that’s the only good thing I can say about this property The photo for this property was not correct it was of the chalet next door that had a blue door. Chalet number 5 has a red door. The chalet was shabby and grubby. The tv did not work, the kitchen smelt of damp and the oven was not clean. How this has had such good reviews I do not know. I use booking.com all the time I have never had such a poor all round experience and I would never normally write such a scathing review but this was terrible .
- Smith (7/5): Good - Small cosy. Loved making our fires in the evenings. oh and loved the wee radio in the kitchen. Some Kitchen ware needs replacing and added like a frying pan as there was none. Side tables maybe for the lounge.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Bernadette (10/5): Quiet getaway - A perfect place for peace & quiet & perfect for the dog. Shane, the owner, was very welcoming & accommodating. Logs were available for the 1st night fire, a nice touch. A short walk to the 2 local pub/eateries & the beach.
Beautiful view across the Atlantic to Sleive League.
- Damien (8/5): Very good - We loved how cosy the house was and it's location.
Shane was very nice and accommodating. He met us on arrival and showed us around. He had a fire ready to go also. We will definitely be back to visit again. Nothing
- Maria (8/5): Lovely Christmas Break - The house is in a great location, with sea views. It's walking distance to beach and great pub / restaurants. Firewood provided for first night(s) to further the cosy ambience. Dogs are allowed, which is excellent, and the safe, enclosed back garden heightens that facility. TV didn't work well, which is completely understandable given the storms, but the WiFi was faultless, and we were able to both work and watch TV Apps without any problem. Staff are charming and very easy to communicate with. I'd recommend it for year-round holiday.
