Guest Reviews
- Tricia (10/5): Lovely choice would stay again - Beautiful hotel with great staff. Breakfast is very good and has vegetarian and vegan options. Rooftop was nice. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Evening room drop of two delicious cookies was appreciated. Rooftop draft beer needs some attention. Everything we tried was flat and warm. Go for the bottled beer. Having hot water for tea through the day is nice but usually it was empty or not at all hot. The music/records room was really fantastic but no ability to play music.
- Yolanda Sofia (6/5): Hay mejores opciones.
- Graciela (10/5): Perfect - Modern style Nothing
- Michelle (8/5): -
- Sarah (6/5): Too expensive for what you get - Good location, close to the main square
Room was clean and beautifully designed, as were the common spaces in the hotel The in-room facilities were lacking (no air conditioning - it was very hot at the end of September), no in-room safe, hairdryer did not work properly
Room was small
Breakfast was very basic and not very good
Reception staff were not particularly friendly or helpful

Stanza ampia, calda e pulita.
- Christine (9/5): Modern, appealing hotel with friendly staff - Very modern hotel - European style - nicely decorated, spacious room with huge sunny terrace & very friendly and helpful staff -Like others already said: I would have preferred a breakfast buffet, instead of choosing one dish and then wait for it a while
- like with more hotels in Peru, there are those little things that people don’t give much attention, like a huge gap in the hotel room door (through which you hear noise) and a broken bench on the terrace of my room.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (9/5): Superb - Big rooms, good A-C , excellent fancy breakfast , beautifull interior in a old building and a good staff
- Rene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anita (10/5): You would like to return there - I loved everything about it. The design, the space, the inner court, the restaurant, the breakfasts, the people, the extraordinary attention. The place is just a gem. I wanted to have more time to stay there.
- Magdalena (9/5): Modern well designed hotel, good location - Good modern design, big rooms, comfortable beds, good location, nice staff. Breakfast beautiful served but a bit small, at least additional coffee for free and maybe some biscuits and fruits would be nice.
No seats/chairs at the terrace on the 3rd floor, just at the bar (not open in the morning)
- Samioglu (9/5): Superb - Location of the hotel is perfect. It is really clean, modern, comfortable hotel. The breakfast is a bit poor comparing to many hotels. You can choose one thing from menu which is not sufficient and one drink.
- Rene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pawel (8/5): Very good - On our second stay we got a room without a walkway in front. Nice room and good facilities. The staff was a bit disorganized with paperwork. After saying all's good they had to chase me down over WhatsApp, because they realized the payment wasn't processed. No big deal, but a slight inconvenience, given that we checked on that before leaving.
- Pawel (8/5): Great stay - The breakfast was amazing, and they offered us a box breakfast knowing we're leaving early for a hike. Slight smell in the bathroom. A bit of noise, also from people walking in front of our room.
- Tania (9/5): Superb -
- Magdolna (6/5): Disappointing - room with no privacy - The hotel is beautiful, with great design to the tiniest details. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We got a room on the ground floor, opening directly feom the busy interiour courtyard, next to the elevator going to all the rooms and rooftop. The room’s doors were glass and the curtains see-through, which left no privacy, we felt exposed and uncomfortable. We could hear and see everyone passing by. We asked for a different room but was only offered one for double the price. If we knew we get this room we would never have booked at this hotel. There are similarly nice hotels nearby for half the price.
The breakfast was nicely presented, but it is not buffet, you have to choose from different menu options, and if you want eggs, it only comes with brwad and ham, but no veggies, fruits, cheese or anything else.
The rooftop is nice but it is closed until 3:30pm, so you cant enjoy the views at all if you have to leave before that time.
Overall disappointing experience - the hotel looks nice but it lacked the basics of comfort and privacy for us.
- Victoria (4/5): Don’t stay here on the weekends. It’s a nightclub on saturdays. - Location was great! 2 blocks from Plaza de armas! Has a nightclub on top floor with very loud music. Shake the walls loud. Couldn’t sleep. Also staff is t very friendly.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice hotel with modern amenities. Breakfast was exceptional for the price.
- John (8/5): Good value for the location and facilities - The hotel has modern facilities and everything worked as expected. There’s plenty of hot water, and although it’s a little cold at night without a heater, blankets are provided. Breakfast is via a menu of several choices and was included in the rate. The location is ideal for activities downtown and is within 2 blocks of the plaza. The beds are very firm so they may not be comfortable for everyone. Allow plenty of time for breakfast, as it’s prepared after ordering. It can take 20 minutes at times to arrive.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good - Nice modern hotel close to the main square. Friendly, accommodating staff. Very clean & spacious room. Lovely breakfast included - a choice of about 6 options. Very tasty & presented well. Nice roof top bar with views over Arequipa & the mountains. Coffee in the morning was very average
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (6/5): Noisy but clean and comfortable - Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and lots of hot water. Well designed hotel, friendly staff, great communications via WhatsApp and good location. In house travel agent “Cool Monkey” very responsive. Take earplugs! The windows are single glazed and as the rooms overlook the central courtyard with the bar, it’s very noisy. Tables too high for the seats in the dining area. The in-house agent Cool Monkey was difficult to arrange payment as cash is required to avoid a 6% surcharge, but the agency wasn’t open when I was there. I found it quite stressful as the hotel refused to accept payment the first time around.
- Polyxeni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hila (8/5): Great stay, recommend - Great place to stay, very good also for people who work online like me, great staff🩷 The showerheads need fixing, seems to be a common problem in Peru
- Corina (9/5): Excellent stay in a perfect Boutique Hotel - We really enjoyed our stay, the room and the staff. Breakfast was good, however for the roomrate the breakfast menu should be overlooked with more options to choose from. Second coffee should not be charged, however it was the best hotel during our Peru trip.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - The room was comfortable, good amenities
- Alberto (8/5): Very good -
- Trish (10/5): Exceptional - We had the room with a large terrace. That was amazing to hang out on after a long day of walking the city. Bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed. Daisy at the front desk was amazing. Going back there in two days.
- Alexander (9/5): Convenient location, large rooms and great breakfast - Lovely hotel close to the main square. The rooftop bar has a great view and the restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. The room was very spacious and clean. Would stay again.
- Yiu (8/5): Very good - Great staff. The room was noisy because the noise reverberates in the courtyard. There were also some weird noises in the staircase.
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): A clean modern convenient place. - Perfect location. Short walk to everything. No air conditioning. The sun was very strong in the afternoon and heated the room up.
- Antonina (9/5): Decent choice - It’s a nice modern hotel that is well located. The food was good, the view from the rooftop terrace is bomb and the ladies working there provide an excellent customer service! I can see how the hotel is aspiring to provide top notch experience, for example, by introducing welcome and bed-time rituals that you don’t usually see in hotels below 4 stars. Unfortunately, my shower head wasn’t working properly, looked like it was clogged. It’s not a big deal but it has tainted the experience a little.
The other thing is that I have asked for an early morning taxi the night before, however, the next day had to look for and wake up the receptionist to only find out that nothing was arranged in advance thus wasted some time on that arrangement, the offered breakfast box wasn’t provided either. I just wish things were managed beforehand and the night shift reception staff set their alarm accordingly to help guests out. The whole situation was awkward, I felt like I was bothering them.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Superb - Personal touches and character of the place are exceptional. Staff friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable, nice, clean rooms.
- Philip (6/5): A nice stay but a couple of minor things that would have made our stay better - The decor and style was great. The location was a short walk from the main square. They organised a packed lunch on the day we left early on a trip to the canyon. The breakfast options were quite limited and we were told we had to pay extra for anything additional to anything other than 1 choice from the menu. We even heard the waiter say jam was extra for someone that asked for some to go with their toast. No coffee top ups for free either. We had a potatoe and cheese breakfast which was nicely presented but small (only 9 small potatoes cut in halves). Left feeling hungry still.
There were human hair (we counted at least a dozen) all over our bed throw and around the bed. It was very obvious which we saw as soon as we walked in so it made us feel that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The rest of the room was fine but the first imrpession wasn’t great
- Jimmy (5/5): Great value, beautiful hotel, staff will make or break. - Updated, beautiful patio, breakfast was delicious, only blocks away from the main square. Staff appeared to be bothered when asked typical tourist questions, gave very general answers when asked about activities in the city or for help recommending stores. Waiter messed up order, trusting “memory” when taking order.
- Guillermo (7/5): Good -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Franco (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and well located hotel with friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent especially for dinner, we had one of our best meals of the whole trip there. Good tour company associated with them - we recommend them as well and the rooftop bar was a good way to cap off the evenings. The only thing I can think of is A/C...it can be quite warm during the day
- Aam (10/5): Exceptional - -room was clean and there were water and cookies everyday
-staff were kind and understanding
-restaurant and breakfast was very good Nothing
- Ruxandra (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (6/5): Nice common spaces, but I would not choose to stay again. - The location was central, and the common spaces of the hotel were nicely decorated. They stored my luggage while I was in Colca Canyon for 2 days, and although I was a little concerned by the security of the luggage storage area, everything was safe when I returned. Love that they have an elevator! The room only had one window, looking into the stairwell of the hotel. There wasn’t a lot of natural light which was a big problem when the electricity was out for almost a whole day (from the early morning until 3pm). The electricity wasn’t their fault- it was the whole neighborhood as a planned maintenance by the city, but they could have done a better job communicating about it. The hotel was also very loud- there was a cover band concert the night I arrived that went on until almost midnight. I was on the 2nd floor and the bar is on the 5th floor but it was still very loud. They also had events in the courtyard during my stay, which was just inconvenient because I would have to walk through them to get to my room.
- Polina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Great location, delicious breakfast, comfortable room. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was very noisy on the Saturday night until the rooftop bar closed at 2am.
- Neikelle (10/5): Comfortable, SO spacious, clean and a wonderful location! - The room was so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was unique and tasty and the courtyard was relaxing. The air in Arequipa can be dry and this hotel managed to keep the air in their rooms as though their was a humidifier in place (though I didn't find one). I enjoyed my stay and wished I could stay longer - but I'll certainly go back.
- Anika (9/5): Comfortable stay in the historic center - Great location close to Plaza de Armas, music room with a huge variety of discs, beautiful photographs and decoration, very friendly staff, welcome letter and water in the room, great breakfast, rooftop terrace, clean room with comfy beds no in-room safe, no fridge, no water kettle, hairdryer was pretty weak
- Margaux (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theodore (9/5): Superb -
- Van (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (9/5): Amazing hotel in the heart of downtown Arequipa. - Great location, delicious breakfast and professional staff. Pillows were a bit soft.
- Nitin (8/5): Good location, great restaurant! - We stayed for 4 nights and booked a room with a terrace. Great location a few minutes from the Plaza De Armas. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. The restaurant is excellent, modern inventive and probably the best food in Arequipa. There is also a cool rooftop bar. A safe in the room would be helpful, as would a kettle or coffee machine.
- Emmanouil (8/5): Very good -
- Ruben (9/5): Comfortable, Clean, Great Location and Amazing Staff - Very comfortable and clean, location was great. Staff was very helpful.
- Lorena (10/5): This boutique hotel has everything you need for a pleasant stay - this is a unique boutique hotel in downtown Arequipa. People very friendly, good and healthy breakfast, great accommodations nothing
- Ramis (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very accomodating the staff is very friendly and professional
The place is safe and spotless
Breakfast was outstanding
We spent a wonderful time
Thanks
- Cavero (10/5): Very modern and good looking! - The high roof is amazing! We really love it! Maybe more smile , people are serious.
- Emmanouil (8/5): Good deal - The rooms, very big beds, comfortable, nice shampoo smell collection the extra spaces like the bar and the restaurant and the disk collection room, the interior design The bathrooms was very clean but was smelling humidity. The breakfast was very little and you could choose only one option of the menu. Very tasty though but I was hungry. The restaurant didn’t have some items from the menu all the time.
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucyna2 (10/5): Cool and comfortable hotel! - Beautiful hotel in a great location. Great customer service from every shift. Great value too. Highly recommend this hotel.
- Mariana (9/5): Superb - The look and feel, decoración, location and the amazing restaurant There is no AC and sometimes the rooms that face the street can be a little heated but not major
- Karla (8/5): Overall pleasant stay in Arequipa! - Beautiful lobby and wonderfully appointed bar and restaurants The rooms feel aesthetically disconnected from the rest of the feel of the hotel. They’re a bit lackluster but mainly the beds are uncomfortable as they extremely hard. And yes, I know, first world problem here, but there is no AC. Even during winter the days in Arequipa can become very warm so I’d recommend the option of having some rooms with AC and charge more for them if it’s a cost issue.
- Esther (9/5): Very pleasant stay in Arequipa close to the center - Very modern Furnishing, good location - 5 min. from Plaza del Armas, Breakfast was very nice (à la Carte) Portions for breakfast are on the smaller side, but we did not ask for more so it would not be fair to count this in.
- Michela (8/5): Very good -
- Mariana (9/5): Superb - The service, decor and location was exceptional. The breakfast and the restaurant Indigo was superb! The showers were a little tricky to manage when balancing hot and cold water. There is no AC/heating in the rooms and depending if you get a direct sun exposed window it can be either a little hot or cold but Arequipa 's weather is mild so not a big deal. The room next to the elevator is super noisy and the only window faces the hallway/elevator so beware.
- Nicole (10/5): Where architecture meets art. - It is a beautiful historical building made from volcanic rock. The building itself used to be Arequipa’s national radio station and the hotel kept the music records and many music antiques that is incorporated into their interior design. There is also a room available for 24 hour access to listen to any of the records they have. As well as a restaurant called Indigo that serves Michelin star worthy food. A must try even if you do not stay there!
The rooms are a perfect size for a couple, and the bathrooms are fully upgraded. Will definitely return again for another trip to Arequipa. The only thing to note is that like most hotels there is no AC, not a big issue for us as we went in May as it was transitioning to a colder season.
- Grzegorz (9/5): Superb - Clean, spacious room. Very central location. Helpful staff. Great quality restaurant. Lack of coffee/tea maker in our room. Delicious breakfast but rather small, not very filling therefore.
- Dagmar (9/5): very comfortable, good value, upmarket hotel - we had the suite with our own roof terrace. The room was spacious with a good bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner in the horel which was really lovely. Staff were superb. We would have liked a safe in our room.
- Diego (10/5): Excellent - Nice and comfortable combination between old and new. Old fashion building refurbished with an industrial style
- Jorge (8/5): Good service -
- Silvana (9/5): I would go back , I wish could have spent few additional days in this great city and great hotel - Antique structure, beautifully renovated , high level modern design while respecting the details of the old building. A nice combination of old and new . Beautiful common areas, always warm water , tea cups and tea available . Highly rated restaurant in the hotel, with breakfast a la cart with great options to choose on. Staff very reponsive, the owner was on site and hands on in helping answering questions and give great restaurant suggestions . He is very professional . Great value for the money Nothing that I did not like , except that I did not stay long enough
- Claudia (10/5): everything very new - Fresh water in the room every day, and something sweet in the afternoon.
Not far to the Plaza de Armas but very quiet as not in the nightlife district. Above the door was a glass skylight through which the stairwell light shone right into my bed.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuel (8/5): Very good -
