Guest Reviews
- Ray (9/5): A short stay. - The layout of the house was great for our stay, it had some unique things throughout & even in the rear yard & the neighbour's rear yard, a view from the back door, not cold enough for the fireplace, warm inside & very comfy, even for our little 13 yr old shitzu cross. Unfortunately we couldn't find any basics, coffee, sugar, tea or milk, to start our stay, even though it was only 2 nights, however there was a big barrel of biscuits to go with a nice coffee,
🤷‍♂️🤔
It was also big dog friendly in the backyard not really little dog friendly, ( long grass).

- Joanne (10/5): - Perfect location. Very nice house. Great for the dog. Nothing. It was brilliant.
- Belinda (8/5): Excellent host and comfortable home. - Had everything you need without being over the top Hard to find the light switches or turn off light on front verandah!
- Lindy (10/5): Great place to stay, lovely host, 10 out of 10 - Lovely cottage beautifully presented
Everything you need for an enjoyable stay was provided - we travelled with our pet dog- he loved the backyard and the walks around this lovely neighbourhood
Easy walk to Norwood shopping precinct and cafes- highly recommend for a stay in Adelaide
- Vicki (9/5): Great location, quiet street and very comfortable. - The owner of the property sent us instructions prior to arrival. The front door uses keyless entry which was seamless.
We loved our stay. Beautiful clean home that had everything you need.
The house stays cool ever though the time we were there the temperatures were in the 30’s.
Basic cooking items in the kitchen to enable you to cook while staying. The owner also supplies cooking oil stray, salt, pepper, and other condiments.
The lounge has a pull out couch which was great to lounge on at the end of a hot day to relax while watching TV under the aircon.
We travelled with 4 bikes and there was plenty of area to store these securely outside.
The house is situated on a quiet street, although there are cars always parked up and down the street. Only a 5 minute walk to the Parade in Norwood. We loved that we could park the car behind the roller door to secure it at night. Nothing we didn’t like.
Only feedback, it would be great to have a remote for the roller door. This didn’t negatively impact our stay, only a potential nice to have.
Having 2 of us, one would take the car out while the other would press the roller door and walk out the front door to ensure the house was secure.
- Katie (9/5): Beautiful house, loads of space and has everything you need. - This was our last accommodation on a three week tour of Australia, the house is beautiful with loads of space indoors, the pictures don't really do it justice. There was plenty of little extras like washing powder, tea, coffee and sauces. The hosts are great and provide any information you need. We would 100% stay here again. The garden is a great space but hasn't been maintained but when the heat is going to destroy your lawn without sprinklers I can understand why. The garden does have a large clothes line which is great for all the washing we needed to do. Due to the age of the property it would be lovely to have a history of it, and any local information.

- Nguyen (9/5): - Location is perfect , very charming house
- Peter (8/5): - Location for our needs
Very comfortable cottage The size of the bath towels were to small
- donna (6/5): - Quite good location, pet friendly house, has heating and cooling. No remote provided for garage roller door, light globes blown in shower and dining room, back garden needed weeding and lawn needed mowing (way overgrown). Front entry to verandah from drive way is not suitable with people with disabilities (need to step up on uneven rocks to wooden verandah floor). Shower screen only screwed to one side and no clip on the other wall to keep it in place. Shower rose is attached to wall where the shower screen closes so you need to adjust it for the water to reach you (it's not directly in front of you) . Shower itself is very odd as it has glass wall (floor to ceiling) and you can see hanging pot plant in alcove which there is a door on the outside . This door is accessed from driveway and there is no lock on it so anyone can open it and can see directly in the shower. The lounge is not comfortable, has low (cushion) back. Second bedroom at the back of the house has no windows that you can open. I have stayed at a few airbnb accommodation and this was not worth money what I paid for.
- Nicole (9/5): Beautiful property in a convenient location. Host was wonderful! Would definitely book again - Beautiful cottage. Photos did not do it justice. Lots of space and very tidy Garden a little overgrown but did not impact our trip
- Wendy (10/5): Safe and cosy. A lovely place to stay. - Location was delightful and close to shops and cafes. Property was secure and we loved the buildings aesthetic. The garden was huge and full of potential. Lovely private space. Spacious back yard was just on the verge of being unruly and the grass a bit long for snake season.
- Karen (8/5): The house is in a great location, close to shops, cafes and restaurants. - Great location! The backyard area could have been better
- Kirstie (9/5): Overall an excellent house and location short walk to norward - Excellent location Needs replacing of shower rose
- Lownds (8/5): Though the shower was a real let down, overall we had a lovely stay and the house was cosy and welcoming. - The property was set nicely furnished, very large and spacious and was in a great location! The beds were also VERY comfortable!! The bathroom was pretty bad, I won’t lie, the shower specifically. The shower doesn’t have an actual door, just this wonky fold out piece of plastic, and the shower head juts out of the wall diagonally and comes to chest height. The water pressure as well is a joke.
- Jenny (8/5): All amenities were catered for and property secure - Great location close to the specialist we had to see. Narrow driveway hard to get in and out of car and back yard wasn’t tidy
- Theoorus Bayu (10/5): - Classic design with modern features
- Dianne & Garry (8/5): -
- Sue (8/5): A nice place to stay and would definitely stay again. 🙂 - Loved the cottage, it was very comfortable and clean. Easy to access the property and convenient walking distance to The Parade shops and cafes.
Good communication with the host. The backyard and driveway is in need of some TLC to bring it up to the next level.
The driveway was very tight and only suitable for a small car.
- Dave (10/5): -
- Stacey (9/5): A great place to stay, so clean and warm. So close to the burnside hospital and The parade. - The location is great, my daughter was in hospital at the burnside hospital so we were less than 5 minutes (walking) from the hospital and also so close to The Parade for food.
The house was clean and had great heating in the rooms so very warm. The lounge room was a really nice spot to sit. The driveway is very tight, and made it a bit tricky to get out especially with the rocks.
The cellar area looked very scary, would be so much nicer if it had a proper door rather and boarded off behind the kitchen bench.
- Lueth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zayne (10/5): Good place to stay - Close to everything
- Danielle (1/5): Unhygienic - There wasn’t nothing to like couldn’t even have a decent shower Knowing there where guest coming with a child it could had been cleaned
It could has least a bottle of water in fridge leaves right up to the front door that been there a while as there was spiders In the leaves the child could had been bitten
Weeds out the back and asked to pic up dog poo there was old dog poor left from previous people
I won’t recommend another stay there
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Close to Norwood shopping strip
Can walk to city
Great backyard for my little dog
Very comfortable accomodation
- Ieva (9/5): Very cozy and comfortable. - Location was excellent.
- Annie (10/5): Great place to stay - We really enjoyed our stay at the bluestone house. The place is really cozy and very comfortable - we loved the quirkiness and uniqueness of the cottage. The location was perfect - a short walk to the parade and close to the city. The host was lovely to deal with and it was easy to access the property. The driveway is quite tight and the backyard needed a bit of work.
- Barry (8/5): Very good - Great location , house suitable
- 玺 (10/5): Great location and service with reasonable price for family or group trip. - Great location
Convenient facilities
Well communication WiFi disconnected occasionally
- Sharon (10/5): Best place to stay. - What a wonderful place to stay. We were very impressed with the house, the features and everything about it. It was super clean & tastefully decorated. The huge TV in the lounge was excellent with great reception & the WiFi was super fast. Was easy to find every time we returned from an outing. & It's literally a 5 minute walk from the Norwood Parade, with multiple places to eat & shop. Only hard decision, was picking something to eat! The driveway was easy to reverse park in with our big 4WD, even though it was a tight fit with some big rocks, it was still easy, off road parking. The beds were super comfortable, just perfect. It was fantastic being able to cook breakfast each morning & put on the dishwasher to come home & have everything clean again for next use. The backyard was great for our dog. He loved running around out there, chasing his ball. (We always cleaned up our dogs leavings, looks like previous guests didn't 👎) The solar lights on the bamboo was a nice touch. It's a nice, leafy, tree lined area & we just LOVED it. There was even a resident possum. It was a bit freaky when we first heard it, but it was quite pretty to see.
This will be our new place to stay every time we visit Adelaide. ❤️ We LOVED everything. But if I *could* fault something, it would be the back garden. As I have a green thumb, I would've had a ball getting it all pretty again, with a big clean up, new plants & flowers.
- Grant (9/5): Superb - It was all great. The car park in the driveway was very tight and there is a rock that scraped my wheel on my car. Suggest park on street if you have a big car
- Brett (3/5): This property requires a good clean inside and outside. - We could have our pet dog with us, was great. The cockroaches inside, the grass is dead, the paving has knee high weeds and leaves everywhere, making hard to stop leaves coming inside. The host told us lies about TV reception, it does have an antenna and we still couldn't get free to air TV channels. The shower rose is really low, only for short people. The recycle bin was full upon our arrival and sunk the front entrance to the property.
- Kate (10/5): Hygge in Norwood. - A standout house where the host has anticipated everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Definitely Hygge.
I slept like goldilocks, the bed firm and comfortable, room ambience perfect. The super huge tv in the lounge a bonus.
Beautiful dining area, and hallway, with leadlight windows and appropriate lighting.
We were grateful to be able to do a load of washing too.
We thank Ying for allowing a small pets which means we could bring our cat with us.
Close to the city, this is a posh neighbourhood with lovely houses, safe streets and convenience for activities with a Cafe strip nearby.
We wish Ying and her family great success with this accommodation, and hope to stay again in the future. We wish we had booked more nights.1 is not enough.
- Lesley (9/5): Superb -
