Guest Reviews
- Wizz (10/5): - Beautiful location with river views from the living room and bedroom. Five minutes walk from tram stop to centre. Supermarket, cafes close by. Easy communication with owners. Well stocked kitchen. Free beer! Very minor points but (personal preference) I prefer a stand alone shower rather than one over the bath. Saucepan lids needed for the bigger pans.

- Steven (7/5): - It's a nice one bedroom flat overlooking the water of Leith. It's about 10 mins walk from the tram stop. There are pleasant places to eat and drink nearby. Britannia is round the corner. It's about 20 mins into the city centre.
The flat is pretty well appointed. The lighting is very dim - especially in the bathroom.
Pillows in the main bedroom are lumpy.
Sofa bed in the living room is OK, but there aren't enough curtains to make it dark for the night.
- Suzanne (8/5): Wonderful location! - The host was very responsive and the location was fantastic. The apartment had everything we needed. The lighting could be better.
- Mets (3/5): Short stay in Edinburgh - Good location, safe parking. Something was wrong with the water tank, the water wouldn’t stop running/gushing, and it was extremely noisy. Someone was sent out to fix it, but instead of repairing it, they almost closed the stop valve so it wouldn’t be as noisy. That meant whenever you used the toilet, it wouldn’t flush properly because not enough water filled the tank. We also couldn’t shower because there was no pressure, and there was no hot water from the kitchen tap.
When I sent feedback to the owner, she just said, “Apologies for the inconvenience.” In 2026, that’s not an inconvenience, that’s not getting what you paid for.
No ceiling light in the bathroom, so it's dark.
The wall behind the sofabed is really dirty, so we pulled the bed away.

- Leonardo (8/5): - Vista canale e ottimi spazi.
- Ruth (10/5): Lovely Location, Lovely Appartment - The Location was beautiful and convenient to get to from the Airport by Tram.
The Apartment was so clean and had everything we needed including Iron and Hairdryer… and finally Kirsty and Durmaz were friendly and helpful
- Jules (9/5): A beautiful apartment with great views and a short walk to the attractions. - The location, style and comfort. Nothing, it was a lovely apartment.
- beatriz (10/5): - Todo Nada
- JingChun (9/5): -
- Janelle (10/5): - Super location, les of great places to eat and pubs nearby. We liked having the view over the the Leith. So nice to have free parking right next to the building The lighting could be improved, it's dim.

- Gwen (8/5): Despite the negatives I’ve mentioned we loved the apartment mainly due to its location, views and comfy bed. If visitin - Location, location, location! The apartment was also spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and the owner and her nephew were extremely helpful and accommodating. The heating wasn’t great. The electric radiators took around 90 minutes to warm up. We had to leave them on throughout our one night stay. Doing this made the temperature in the bedroom pleasant but it wasn’t enough to make the living room comfortably warm. There was no heating in the hall or bathroom. I would like to add that the owner gave us an additional heater to help with this problem. Unfortunately it still wasn’t enough to make us feel warm. Additionally the sinks, and toilet were poorly installed. The toilet ran all the time and most of the sink taps were loose. We didn’t take a shower because the bathroom was too cold to contemplate this so I can’t comment on that.
- Elaine (6/5): I lived in Edinburgh until 5 years ago and loved being back and staying in this lovely flat. - The location is great. The flat is close to a large selection of restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket close by.
The tram and bus stops are also near.
There is a lift in the building which is always a bonus.
The flat overlooks the water so swans and ducks are nearly always in view. The only tiny thing that I found could be better was the bathroom lighting. It was quite dark in the shower.
- anna (8/5): Short stay with family - Very interesting location. Excellent that sofabed in living area meant we both had our own private sleeping areas. Everything was as expected so all ok.
- Bence (10/5): Great place to stay with 3 people in Edinburgh - Very well equipped and is easily accessible by tram. The apartment looks nice and has a good view from all the windows. The area was pretty quiet, we didn't have any trouble sleeping because of noise. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking. The mirrors are also very low down, you probably won't see yourself in them if you're above 150cm.
100 % recomendable. Nada.
- Robert (10/5): Perfect -
- Jonathan Valentinus (10/5): Convenient and quiet stay near the waterfront - The property is well maintained and is located in a convenient and quiet area in Leith. It’s less than 10 mins walk away from the tram line and only across the street for bus connections. There are many shops around within walking distance too. Three of us stayed during the chilly winter weather and the flat did a good job keeping us warm. Kitchen utensils and towels were also provided. And you could easily take nice walk around the area to enjoy the nice waterfront of Leith! Would definitely recommend and come back ourselves
- Pratik (10/5): It was absolutely incredible. The rooms were super clean. The commute was very very smooth. - The host was very approachable and let me in into the property.
- Robert (10/5): Excellent stay, perfect location - The apartment was extremely clean and convenient.
- kleiven (8/5): cosy flat with a great view. - great location next to the water. lovely view. peaceful. main bed very comfy . Host was super helpful and prompt responses. would stay again parking was full sometimes. Kitchen equipped with basics but could have used the odd extra item . overall great place

- Daria (10/5): - Polecam... 😉
- Gareth (8/5): Enjoyed Leith very much - It was in a great area Lighting was poor and it was a bit dated.
- ann (10/5): Enjoyable city break - Location on the river in leith , lots of good places to eat , spacious Nothing
- Oleksandra (10/5): - Very clean, all there for you to have a comfortable stay- even a hair dryer!
It is a full appartment, has fridge, cooker.
The view is fantastic
- Ngozi (9/5): Our stay was delightful, with a quaint shore-facing room in a vibrant location - My family of three had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, and we truly enjoyed every aspect of it. The room, facing the shore, offered stunning views and a quaint, charming atmosphere that felt straight out of a Victorian romance novel. The location was vibrant and incredibly convenient, with nearby stores for shopping, restaurants, sightseeing opportunities, and easy access to various bus stops, making it simple to explore different parts of the city. I’d highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a picturesque, well-located stay with a cozy, romantic vibe.
- Daley (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (9/5): Fab wee apartment in a great location. - I LOVED the location and views from window. Massive bonus having free and accessible parking. A fantastic choice of places to eat, and right on the bus route. Pressure in HW tap in kitchen not very good, and TV reception a bit fragmented, but I wasn't really in apartment long enough for it to bother me.
- Grace (10/5): We have enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment in such a charming location. The hosts are very accommodating and the - The property was very cozy, clean and very close to places such as bars and restaurants. The river view from the apartment as you wake up in the morning was a lovely treat. Nothing. It was perfect
- Nikita (7/5): Weekend in the Vibrant Apartment - Apartment was in a lovely location.
Very pretty views out the balcony, especially with all the Christmas lights. I feel the only downfall to the apartment for us was the sleeping arrangements, we were aware of a sofe bed but this was very small, and very uncomfortable. I feel if this was upgraded this would be much better for families.
- Kendra (10/5): Excellent place and location Would use the apartment again - the location was amazing. lots of bars restaurants and great area to walk around The Shore. Easy to go up Leith Walk to the city centre on the tram. Apartment clean and everything you would need. We stayed 3 nights. everything was good
- Peter (6/5): -* - great location apartment a little dark. poor lighting
- David (9/5): Superb - Good location.
Bus or tram to city centre
- Busi (7/5): Leith is my new favourite place in Edinburgh - Great location. Not far from tram and buses. Good views from the rooms. Exposed beams and lots of character. Very clean. Saturday farmers market 4 minutes away. Great coffee Roastery about 3 mins away. Parking was very convenient and easy. Very accessible hosts. Lovely walks along the water. Impromptu choir performance from one of the boats while we were out walking. Choice of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Good kitchen. Improving the sleeping spaces would make a very big difference. Bed in the bedroom was too soft .We sunk too deep into it and this affected sleep quality. The sofa bed was also tight. In space. Shower rail was not very secure
- Greg (8/5): Sunshine on leith - Fabulous location with parking. The building is full of character being an old coopery. The apartment had everything we needed. Great food on the doorstep and excellent transport links into the city. We tried to extend our stay as we liked it so much... The bed could benefit from a new mattress as there was a little roll together, not a lot, just a little. The kitchen tap had a slight drip and the TV reception was poor.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Well setup unit and great location. Easy to bus into main town. Loved our stay.
- Damien (8/5): Very good -
- Dawn (9/5): Super apartment with lovely views! - Lovely apartment overlooking the Shore with wonderful, large windows creating a light, airy atmosphere. The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The shower head kept slipping down, so, for a tall person, it was quite tricky to shower properly. Not a big deal though.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (7/5): Convenient to transport & quiet - Our host was lovely, friendly and helpful. Her Turkish restaurant looks outstanding although we didn't get to eat there due to our activities. The beds were a little uncomfortable and thr sofa bed in the lounge was not a very comfortable to sit or sleep on. Uneven and old, however it did the job for a few night with just one sleeping on it.
- Marissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Borges (9/5): Amazing place - The apartment was clean, the location was very good, the view is beautiful
- Grace (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Oa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camila (10/5): Highly recommend! - The location is perfect. The apartment is big and was smelling very good. All nice! Nothing, liked everything!
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - Location great with nice canal views.. Apartment very clean, and good communication with owner. A cafetiere and more crockery would be good.
- Ashish (5/5): If these basics are corrected I shall definitely return. - Awesome location. Great security. Cleanliness. Tv and Netflix etc. vessels are ok but ladels and serving spoons needed Very dark. No lights at door. Very poor lights in the house. No essentials like soap shampoo etc.
the heating wasn’t working in bedroom. Though the owners came and said that it will be sorted next day but no one came to repair.
- Hugh (10/5): Comfortable, Clean and Peaceful. Great location in Leith, and transport to City Centre. - Comfortable, Clean and Convenient.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great welcome by host, in their neighbouring restaurant, taking us to our accommodation and explaining access etc. Spotlessly clean. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. The flat is in a very quiet spot, overlooking the Water of Leith. Bus stop, just round the corner, with busses to city centre and Royal Mile. Only minutes walk from the Shore Tram stop. Great location for supermarket, shops, Leith Saturday market, bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to dine in the hosts restaurant, just round the corner from the accommodation. Would definitely stay again. Nothing. Had a great stay
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (9/5): Ideal for a city break. - Location ideal for Britannia and Tram stop 2 mins walk away for the city centre. Able to park and leave the car and use the trams to get around. Lots of bars and restaurants near the apartment.
- John (9/5): Superb - Great location at the shore in Leith. Handy for the tram and buses . Nice comfortable apartment in a characterful converted old warehouse with views over the water. Fully equipped kitchen handy if you want to prepare your own food. WiFi. Friendly helpful hosts. Easy to check in. All good.
- Sarah (9/5): Centre of Leith - Nice central location by the Leith shore in an interesting old building. Owner was helpful. They have a lovely restaurant very close by.
- Lesley (9/5): Superb - It was spotlessly clean. The parking was free and it was right outside the building.
The flat was in a great location.
- Lauren (8/5): Wonderful location. Responsive hosts. Cosy and warm. -
- Finbarr (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (10/5): Lovely, cosy apartment in a great location - The location is great and really lovely view of the canal. It’s right by restaurants and the owner has an incredible Turkish restaurant round the corner which I highly recommend. The apartment was lovely, very cosy.
- Khurrum (10/5): Thank you soo much, we had an amazing time - Location and host Nothing
- Isle (8/5): Handy for all Leith has to offer - Super location, handy for pubs in Leith, nice view across the water, tram stop just around the corner, parking space is a real bonus. The kitchen utensils/cutlery and glassware could be improved upon. We were party of four, but there was only seating for two at the breakfast bar.
- Eleanor (10/5): Exceptional - The location was lovely and the views from the bedroom & kitchen were really pleasant. We were able to make our own dinner the first night we stayed there. Bathroom was great with lots of hot water and a power shower! It was a little dark at night with all the lights on. They were pretty dim. The door handles and mirrors were all very low so I had to crouch to reach them, but that's not really a big deal, just something to note for taller visitors!
- Charles (10/5): Room with a View - The history of the apartment, an old Cooperage, the quaintness and location overlooking the water.
Private parking also a huge bonus.
Good choice of bars & restaurants on your doorstep. Especially The Kezban Restaurant (Turkish) owned by the apartment owner Kirsty and her husband.
We ate there on our first evening and the food was absolutely delicious.
Very convenient for tram to Edinburgh City Centre and Airport.
We would definitely stay again, due to all of the above. There is nothing we didn't like.
- Nalin (9/5): Really lovely stay in a serene and homely apartment in the suburbs quiet close to the main city. - The apartment was really really cute. It had a very wooden feel to it, and was right above a water body. Not sure if the water body was a river or a canal, probably a river. The owner was really sweet and helpful. This is the appropriate size for a couple or for three people. I would also highly recommend it if you're planning to stay in the city for a long time as this apartment is in a residential and quiet area right next to the ocean, and not too far, roughly 20 minutes, from the main city by multiple busses. I was visiting Edinburgh for the fringe festival, and hence the location wasn't ideal for me. It was a bit further out than I'd like. I'd prefer being in the apartment for a few hours in a day to rest which wasn't possible.
- Jayalekshmi (10/5): It was an excellent stay, rasily accessible location and the host was kind enough to provide us discounted food from her - The apartment was beautiful and the host was so good!! The lights were dim
