Guest Reviews
- Alessio (10/5): Great Place! Great people!! - I loved the place and its tranquility. Sapiyah, the owner, is wonderful. He speaks perfect English and even a little Italian. He got me a great 160cc scooter PCX at a great price, and I rode it all over Lombok for over a month. The breakfasts are delicious, and the dishes his wife cooks are excellent and the portions are generous. I had a boat ride from Sengiggi to Bali today, and a family member of him accompanied me for free. One day, Sapiyah even took me on a motorbike tour of the mountains around Sengiggi for the entire afternoon, completely free of charge. Highly recommended! Nothing

- Alex (7/5): Not an option if you need internet - Just okay.
The room is decent — fine for a one-night stay. The internet is absolutely terrible — basically unusable for anything beyond simple text messages.
The location is quite far in, so walking isn’t convenient — you’ll definitely need a scooter for everything.
- Ivey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petra (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for one night after climbing Mount Rinjani. We were very exhausted and we needed to organize our transfer for the next day. They helped in everything, to book boat ticket, we got massage, good breakfast and every kind of help we needed. The bonus was the beautiful and very calm location, surrounded by plants, cows and local people.
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional - The owner os the spot are very very lovely and welcoming -
- Jędrzej (10/5): True homestay experience - Very clean room. The family that ownes this homestay is great, really nice and helpful. Quiet and calm place. They also own warung with tasty, traditional food. The owner is very nice and polite man. During our stay we had a few conversations with him, he told us some stories. We really enjoyed our time here. Will definitely come back. Internet wasn’t working, it wasn’t a problem for us because we had Indonesian SIM card with the internet. The owner said there is a problem with the company that delivers the internet.
- Johanna (10/5): A peaceful place to relax🥰 - Absolutely perfect! My sweet escape. After backpacking in hostels for some weeks I desperately needed some quited time and good sleep. That‘s exactly what I got. The owners are super cute and friendly! Really good Warungs close by. The accomodation is simple, but also keep in mind that what you consider „simple“ is already a luxury to an Indonesian person🙏🏻 And to be honest a simple and private room is the best luxury for a backpacker too! Slept so well here. Thank you! All the best to the owners and Julia is such a sweet girl! 😇
- Johanna (10/5): Really nice! - So good that I extended my stay
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay here was wonderful. The hosts are really easy going and helpful. They are attentive and really kind. The village is really pleasant as well and it's very close to the beach and senggigi. You can rent scooter from the nephew !
Bagus !!
- Charlotte (10/5): Calm surrounded by trees :) - The location is so calm, the food is good, the landscape is beautiful Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kiara (8/5): Very good - Great stay in a cute village, good value for money! In beautiful nature, even better host!!
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant - Arrived at homestay. Host who didn't speak much English initially said no wifi. Then it was broken. Then she said someone would be there later to fix. I needed wifi that night so I moved back to Senggigi.
I walked through place. Mattress on floor, sheets looked ok. I sat on bed and it seemed ok. Fan above door. Bathroom good size. Not sure if there was hot water .
Not sure if lady had wifi or not but if you want a cheap stay then I'm sure it's ok. No wifi. Check first
- Charlotte (10/5): A wonderful host family with a beautiful homestay - The location was beautiful, really quiet and just a walkaway from the beach, which has a beautiful sunset. The host and his family are so kind and hospitable and really helpful with arranging for me to get a bike and advising on different trips I could take. The food at their restaurant was delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable and the wifi was also strong.
- Ramon (9/5): New lovely Homestay with perfect value for money - Love the location in the quiet town with the helpfull owners. The location was a bit hard to find on Google, if you navigate to the Sapiah Warung you will arrive at the Homestay. I added MBE Baleng Ku to Google maps as well.
- Otto (10/5): Such a nice, welcoming stay - Such welcoming and helpful owners. Food was amazing and a beautiful location. If and when I go back to Lombok I'd definitely be staying again! Nothing.. Was such a great experience
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - The owner of the place is a wonderful person as well as the workers. He's our friend now. If we come again to Lombok. I will return to this place.
He also make us a gili islands tour discount.
- Oliver (10/5): A real homestay - The owners here are absolutely lovely people. They really can't do enough to help you and make you feel comfortable. I was delayed by about 3/4 hours and they still allowed me to check in. Not only that, they made me food and gave me a fresh coconut as I'd had a long journey (despite me not asking for anything as it was already past midnight and I was just grateful they stayed up for me to check in).
They also set up a washing line for me to dry my clothes. Due to the delay, I had no time to do laundry as I was leaving early the next morning.
The homestay is brand new so they are still building certain facilities to make it nicer for their guests. If you're like me and enjoy supporting locals with a new business, staying in a local area, getting to know them and their culture etc. then this place is a great find. If you're looking for a well established luxury stay, probably not. The facilities weren't the same across all rooms yet, it's something they are finishing in the next few weeks. This wasn't a problem to me. I quite like the idea that I was one of their first guests as the owners were so kind.
