Guest Reviews
- CATHERINE (10/5): A different world - Idyllic. Absolutely beautiful. Peaceful but a short stroll to restaurants and bars Pillows bit uncomfortable for me but husband was fine
- Oonagh (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Fantastic location. Property was spotless. Owner was so welcoming and friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home. Bed very comfortable. Mini kitchen with kettle and microwave stocked with milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Willow the dog and Jake the cat were very friendly too! Will absolutely return to the great find! Lovely dinner and breakfast at Rostrevor Inn beside the property. Lovely friendly people in a beautiful part of County Down.
- Sarah (10/5): Just a fabulous indulgence! - So very beautiful! Nothing, everything was excellent!
- Martin (10/5): Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend - The total location is amazing and the owner is very knowledgeable about the area Nothing
- David (10/5): - Friendly welcome. Information from owner about local attractions was great.
- wanda (10/5): a stunning place to stay - The stunning view onto the Mourne hills was incredible. Eddie, the owner is a lovely man...knowagable and accommodating. nothing!
- Romain (10/5): - Le propriétaire est tres sympa. Il aime les animaux. Un jardin agréable. Village un peu perdu. Eviter le lundi. Tout est fermé surtout hors saison. Sauf les pubs... bien sûr !
- Nicola (9/5): Lovely host, wonderful location & great value, a must stay if visiting Rostrevor. - Thank you Eddie for a wonderful stay. We booked last minute to attend a wedding in a nearby town - and Eddie was a great host. He explained all the details via phone to get into the property when we rang when we arrived - and even rang a local pub to keep the kitchen open for us to get food which was so nice of him.
The property itself is super sweet, and so conveniently located a few minutes walk from the town itself. There was everything you could have needed, plenty of fresh towels, shampoo's soaps, tea, biscuits, water & a mini-fridge!
We didn't get a chance to do the walks, but if interested, this would be a perfect place to stay as you can walk from the town to them.
We would 100% stay here again, it's well located, a very comfortable property, really good value for money & Eddie is a total gent. Nothing, thanks again Eddie for accommodating us.

Everything was exceptional and the host is a lovely gentleman who couldn’t have been more welcoming and courteous. The best nights sleep we’ve had in years, the mattress was so comfortable, the terrace so beautiful to wake up to. The location is unbeatable. Fresh linen, bathroom toiletries and kitchenette in the room made everything so comfortable. Absolutely amazing.

WiFi, handy kitchenette! Very handy walking location in the lovely village of Rostrevor. Quiet and tranquil! We could do with a wardrobe, to hang clothes. Limited storage space.

- Mary (8/5): A very comfortable stay with a very pleasant host. - The location to all restaurants etc in Rostrevor was excellant. The outside of the building was quite magical with all the trees surrounding the terrace. as a woman of 5'2" It was impossible for me to get into the bath as the side of the bath came up almost to the top of my thigh !!
- Natasha (10/5): Great location for exploring Mournes - Excellent location to the main amenities of the town and yet in a very tranquil neighbourhood. Both the room and ensuite bathroom were very pleasant and comfortable. Everything was fresh and very clean. The little kitchenette was a lovely surprise and very handy. Lovely outdoor space to relax in - we even had our dinner from a takeout outside that evening. This accommodation has absolutely everything one might need for a 2 or 3 night stay. Nothing

- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - We had a bedroom with hall bath in this charming 200+ year old house. The bath is all new and spotless. There is a kettle and coffee/tea things, along with snacks. There were no other guests and the owner, Eddie, and his delightful pets were nearby. We're parked inside the gate in front and walked around back to get to our room, which opened to a big deck overlooking the back garden and river. We spent time on the deck reading, having coffee and listening to the rippling water. Easy walk to pubs and shops, and the loch-side walkway for longer strolls.

- Madison (10/5): We booked very last minute, but he was so accommodating and welcoming. We were greeted by the kindest man with the sweet - We stayed in the apartment part of the house that is attached. The house was beautiful and unique and located in quiet neighborhood. It was definitely one of the comfiest beds we slept in on our trip. The drains were clogged pretty bad. I would wash my face and the water wouldn’t drain, but it is an older house. Nothing a drain cleaner can’t fix.

friendly helpful host Its not so much a big point but the place was a little hard to find. Its on a narrow two way road and a prominent house number would be helpful. One might easily turn into a number of driveways. Maybe we were just a bit tired.

- Conor (10/5): Quiet and peaceful - The host was so friendly and approachable, such a lovely retreat for quiet and calm. Was able to just relax and read my book listening to the river and the birds. Very central to restaurants and pubs. Quirky little hideaway. Will defo be back Nothing
- Joanne (9/5): Great location in the heart of Rostrevor - Great location in town, easy to walk everywhere, lovely view over garden towards Fairy Glen and mountains. Apartment is part of owner’s house with secure private parking. Plenty of outdoor seating. Comfortable bed, quiet room. Owner, Eddie, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about area and interesting history of house.
Note that there are 3 steps up to entrance and the shower is over a bath with high edge to climb over. Outdoor space could be tidier; if you have allergies there are pets around though they’re very friendly.
