Guest Reviews
Rien
- Kathleen (8/5): A great base for the activities I'd come for and I loved Strathbogie in the autumn colours. - My timetable didn't correspond with the heating schedule so I was cold. A little fan heater would have been useful.
I never worked out how to work more than one ring on the cooker. I had to change our menu to just use the oven (which did warm the house) and microwave.
A few less little tables etc would have felt safer

- Pavel (9/5): Super vybavený penzion uprostřed krásné přírody - celkové vybavení apartmánu, obchod za rohem, velikost místností, okna do ulice
- Willian (9/5): Great cottage in a peaceful rural village perfect for exploring the local countryside by bike - Great location for exploring the surrounding countryside. Overlooking the village square it’s a peaceful spot. Cottage is clean, comfortable and well kitted out. Good kitchen for preparing meals, no restaurants to walk to!
Good corner shop or supermarkets in Huntly Bathroom and shower are good. Cycle storage in locked shed is good and secure. The storm that occurred…70 mph winds! Didn’t spoil our break away!
- Julie (8/5): An honest review - Great location for exploring Speyside
Very clean accommodation and well equipped For us, it didn't work as we felt like we were in a goldfish bowl. All windows looked onto public spaces, even the bathroom. In fact you could see in through the kitchen window all the way through to the shower! As there was only one window with a net curtain, we had to put the blinds down for privacy, making it very dark. Although it looks like a cottage on the image, it is in fact just the ground floor. Someone lives above, you can hear him, and he parks his car right outside the lounge window, in the shared 'garden'. The garden is an open space all the way across the back of 5/6 properties. We don't feel that the images shown accurately represent the reality of the accommodation.
As long as you are aware of these facts, it might be fine for you.
Maybe the owners could install more nets/voile curtains?
- Mairead (10/5): Very pleasant - Everything was lovely and new and it was very stylishly decorated. Nadia was very helpful when I asked some stupid questions :-)
- Charles (7/5): Good - The location was ideal for meeting up with friends. We had problems with the AGA cooker. The hosts thankfully came to resolve the problem. It turned out that this was because we were using a pot in the cupboard which cannot be used on this type of cooker. The hosts took it away. There was also a problem with some of the radiators not going on. This was again resolved by the hosts when they visited.
- Tracey (6/5): Pleasant - Clean It’s a flat advert miss leading it’s not a whole cottage
- Cloudy36 (10/5): Lovely, clean property - Easy ..code then used key. Put key in safe on leaving.
Flat was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Nothing.flat was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and return.
- Eleanor (10/5): The most beautiful and relaxing little cottage in the Highlands. - This property has been put together with the very highest standards of care and attention to detail. I can think of nothing that was missed out from a welcome bottle of wine and Scottish shortbread biscuits to the tartan chairs and highland cow pictures to the information provided on the local area. It quickly felt like home from home and we just loved staying there. Nothing at all.
- Gemma (9/5): Superb - The cottage was in a beautiful village, a perfect stay for the couple of days we were up visiting family, friends, and house hunting.
It was so peaceful, the church bells were lovely to listen to and we had the opportunity to have a nice walk about during our flying visit.
Our host Nadia kept us informed with check-in details, and we had a pleasant surprise of some wine cooling in the fridge and some biscuits.
The beds were extremely comfortable, the best nights sleep I've had in a while. We had all the amenities we needed, and we enjoyed the card games in the evenings with the children.
A perfect stay and highly recommend. There wasn't anything our family didn't like.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Lachlan (8/5): Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Rhynie - The location could not be any more easy to access - right in the main square of Rhynie. The village square was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and made for a nice view from the kitchen window. There is on-street parking outside the front door. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the utensils we needed and there were a few snacks in the fridge for us, which was a bonus. The cottage is quite small, so we did not have a lot of space to spread-out. However it was ideal for our family of four. Larger families would need more space.
- Cath (7/5): Good -
- Jacqueline (9/5): Chilled out break - Superb location. With a corner shop which is a must. Lovely people to.
- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (8/5): Very good - Very clean and had everything you would need
- Irene (8/5): We were out during the day, walking & it was nice to return & relax at the cottage; would recommend - Homely feel to the place & no problems with an extended checkout time. Not being able to control the heating radiators in each room, especially the bathroom. However the hostess was very responsive when told about the occasions when the heat wasn't on, and fixed it straight away.
- Olive (9/5): A lovely place to stay - great to relax in after a day out in the hills. - Lovely, comfortable cottage in a quiet, friendly village in beautiful countryside. We had a really enjoyable break- and the weather was fantastic! The host left useful information on what to do in the area, and the cottage was very well equiped. Really good shower. Bathroom sink water not very hot.
- Alexander (10/5): Great property - Clean, well-maintained, and well equipped property. Nothing
- Geraldine (8/5): Very good - Great location in the square, warm and cosy with easy to boost central heating units. I only used the cottage to sleep as I was out all the time and did not cook/watch TV etc. For safety I switched the cooker off at the wall and once I switched it back on the rings would not heat up. I assume the programme needed completely reset which was inconvenient. The shower was disappointing- the pressure was very poor and the temperature kept switching from boiling to freezing making it impossible to shower properly.
- Paula (8/5): Nice cottage - Lotties cottage was well equipped, I was pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine. It was very cold in the back room and the bathroom - eventually worked out how to turn on/up the heating.
- Craig (10/5): Excellent option for a stay in the Scottish Highlands - This little gem of an apartment located on The Square in Rhynie exceeded our expectations. Modern and tastefully furnished has every convenience needed to allow one to relax and enjoy your stay. Even a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge and tea and coffee which were unexpected and a nice touch. We will be back in the future … highly recommended! Absolutely nothing!
- Jahandaad (10/5): Exceptional - Central location. Close to all major attractions. The house itself is super clean and managed by a lovely host. The cottage also comes with all amenitiesz A fan extractor in the washroom would be beneficial
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -

- Antony (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): We travelled for a mixture of work and walking, the property was located in a great spot near the single malt trail and - Very clean and had everything you needed

- Amrina (9/5): The owner is very welcoming and helpful with good heart. - the area was peaceful and the house was nice .
- Ducroiset (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is so cosy. There is everything that is necessary. The decoration is lovely, with all the different animals...It was pleasant to open the fridge and discover the wine and the milk. The host is very heplful and answers all the questions very quickly.
All was perfect Nothing
