Guest Reviews
- Fabio (8/5): Great location, clean and modern. Very welcoming and helpful host - Totally recommend! - The apartment was clean and modern but still with a beautiful touch of an Arabic old house. Mona was an absolutely brilliant host and helped with all our necessities. Definitely recommend. Bed mattress and bed sheets were not the most comfortable.
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect for its value, it had everything a person needs and a cute balcony as well, the place is very wide and fits a family, you will for sure enjoy it there’, just make sure to get your own toiletries ( shampoo …etc )
- Annie (10/5): Bright, peaceful and centrally located - This is an incredibly cute place with charming details. The high ceilings and beautiful little balcony make it so peaceful & comfortable. The kitchen is complete if you wanted to cook, but with such good falafel & shawarma in Manger square just a few minutes walk from the apartment, you may not get the chance. As of early May 2025, there’s no war in Bethlehem, nor has there been in over 20 years. It feels super safe to walk around even as a solo female traveler. The bus stop is about 15 minute walk or a short and inexpensive taxi ride. You can safely walk the old streets and see the ancient holy sites and come back to this beautiful little apartment as your home base. Honestly I had no problems at all. Anything I needed was offered or provided. Shampoo or extra toiletries were offered at check in, but I had my own with me. There was a generous stack of extra blankets for the cool spring nights and a fan, but the breeze from the balcony was more than enough.
- Monica (6/5): It was ok for two nights. And Mona was a kind host. - The apartment itself, due to the stone walls, big windows, balcony with nice view on the outskirts of Bethlehem (not the old city). Wifi working and properly. Mona, the owner, very kind. Facilities were poor. Bathroom missing hooks, not even one where to hang the towel. No mirror. I was given just one big (beach) towel. Nothing for the floor where water from shower congregated, a mat would have been useful for the area under the basin, not just a small wiper. I found a used piece of soap stuck to the tiny basin and an open small shower gel container with some leftover liquid. Basin wasn’t cleaned.
Kitchen: I didn’t need to use it except for eating some olives so I can’t say.
Big room with four single beds: one was completely unmade, the others were covered with very this sheets that hardly covered the mattresses. I had to make my own bed with some other linen which I found in the room. There are not light switches by the beds and not a single bed lamp despite the presence of 4 beds. Mona told me I should have moved the bed near the switch…basically re-accommodating the furniture since near the switch there were two armchairs. There was dust on the shelves and a few stains on the floor near the bed. Mona said impossible because she cleaned it before my arrival. I doubt it but it’s fine. Also to be noted that although the apartment is only a few hundreds meters from Manger Square, 3/4 of that walk is very very steep. I am ok with that but for some people it could be a challenge.
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional - The stay in this place was very successful.
- Sophie (7/5): Great place for a short stay. - A nice space that was light and airy. Balcony was a lovely place to sit and relax. If you want to work the WiFi doesn’t reach the apartment very well. Our host did try and help us with this but the old walls are very thick so it’s hard to get a good connection.
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful guesthouse with a great view and a comfortable, cozy interior! The host, Mona, was amazing as well :)
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful clean apartment in a good location only a 5 minute walk to Manger Square. The facilities are good and the building is south facing so gets a lot of natural light during the day. I’d definitely recommend the place.
- Jacob (9/5): Incredible pricepoint, extremely good value for money! Would have - Great location, beautiful apartment, exactly as shown in photos Wifi only worked on the balcony or very close to it with the door open. Also need to turn on heater for the shower 20-30 minutes beforehand.
- Luna (10/5): Exceptional - So spacious, and I loved the balcony. The owner was very nice!
- Paul (10/5): Very helpful host the property was clean and tidy i would recommend any to stay here. - Beautiful location just down from the church of the nativity, good view from the balcony and a lovely apartment. NA
- Bara' (9/5): Superb -
- Chiharu (8/5): good place for relaxing during travel! - very nice house, clean & relaxing space in a living room& bedroom. I could do yoga practice. located very close to the central where there is a famous church and other spots for tourists. the owner was very nice and helpful. She told me a traditional restaurant and some shops that I can buy food for cooking. When I had questions regarding the access, she answered quickly and it helped me a lot!! highly recommended when visiting Bethlehem.
- Mayar (10/5): Exceptional - The location, the hosts were so nice the place is so clean and the apartment is so cozy❤️❤️
- Elvira (10/5): Idyllic and peaceful stay in beautiful Bethlehem apartment - Mona’s place is a beautiful, newly renovated apartment with old stone walls and arches. There is a large fridge and everything you need for cooking. The large terrace has great view across Bethlehem. The location is excellent, close to the Nativity church, milk grotto and many beautiful little streets in Bethlehem. Mona is very welcoming and gave me many tips on where to find delicious food in Bethlehem. All in all it was a peaceful and perfect stay.
- Grolland (10/5): A beautiful, historic home with a stunning view from the balcony. Very sweet hosts. - Our hosts were very accommodating and met us on arrival with the keys and to show us around the property. We had a stunning view from the balcony over the quiet neighbourhood. Perfectly positioned to walk up to Manager Square and explore the winding streets of Bethlehem. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful and lived close by to help with anything. Highly recommended.
- Daniel (10/5): Very gracious family and a great location. - The hosts were incredibly gracious and welcoming. Very sweet family. They served me tea and coffee and breakfast and were very helpful with me learning Arabic. They spoke English very well but spoke only Arabic to help me learn.
- Shubham (10/5): Best Stay in Bethlehem - My friend and I loved our stay! The bedroom was huge and the interior architecture was beautiful. We were able to book last minute and ended up extending our stay.
Rozana and her family were so friendly and accommodating. Rozana gave us an amazing tour of Bethlehem as well as a fun photo shoot in traditional clothing. Thank you for everything!!!
- Julian (10/5): Perfect stay in Bethlehem - We Had a wonderful stay, the apartment has a great atmosphere, location ist very convenient just a short walk to Manger Square/ Church of Nativity. It was a pleasure to also meet the hosts who were very kind and helpful and quick and easy to communicate. I would highly recommend staying in Bethlehem rather than just do a day tour from Jerusalem, it gives the chance to explore the Church of Nativity in the morning and/or evening without many tourists, and also get to know the city itself.
It was easy to park the rental car at the Checkpoint (free parking) and walk to the centre and see the Banksy sights along the way (taxis are waiting too, in case one doesn't want to walk...). We also felt very safe at all times.
- Hedzer (8/5): Stay in a cosy and original house in Bethlehem - The appartment is newly renovated and is very cosy. The host Rozana was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. A facilities are ok and it is a nice place to stay in Bethlehem! Sometimes traffic might be a bit noisy
- Patel (9/5): Superb - Great apartment just down the hill from Manger Square. Owner provided fresh fruit from her garden when we arrived and provided everything we needed. Shops just around the corner with fruit and other necessities and fresh bread just down the street. Bethlehem is a beautiful town and the people there and across the West Bank are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. Please visit the West Bank and support the Palestinian people. Though the apartment is close to Manger Square it is a very steep climb. Good for people that want to get their heart rate up, but would be a bit difficult for those that are older or unfit.
- Bárta (10/5): Exceptional - The most friendly staff which I've ever seen. I can't think of anything what I didn't like.
