Guest Reviews
- Alberto (7/5): It' s a good place but I expected something better - The place is not that bad but I didn't like it so much in general It's noisy and considering that is far away from the center is not very cheap. I had dinner and it was disappointing as well as breakfast
- Lisa (8/5): Nice place. Well priced and good location. - The location was good and we were greeted by our host well and welcomed. The room was a little small and the shower didn’t work very well. I did mention it and the host said she would fix it before the next guest entered. Which was good.
- Rymkiewicz (9/5): Great stay, comfortable, clean with a big bed and air con working great. - The host was very kind, welcoming and accommodating.
- Victor (9/5): Superb - Great hosts and they give you many tips where to visit and so on. The room is tiny but good. The area is quiet and peaceful. A little far from the main attractions but it was better like this as we like a good night of sleep. So the room is the only one available in their house, which is good because you will be the only guest. The room is on the top floor and the owners sleep downstairs. They give you lots of privacy and if you need anything it’s quite easy to reach them. Food/breakfast is great! The water pressure is very weak. Hard to take a shower. At some times of the day, there was no water. So if you have water coming from the shower/tap and wondering if you wish to take a shower or not, I would recommend to do so as you don’t know if in a couple of minutes, there will be no water.
- Ian (6/5): Good welcoming staff. Basic but ok accomodation. Low water pressure and under a flight path. - Good staff The location on the booking.com map and was about 250 mts away from where it was on the map. There is no listing on google as well. I searched the area for over an hour. They could have also had a simple sign up on the door or signs in the neighborhood pointing to the Riad, The staff were very apologetic and fixed the issue on booking.com straight away which is great for future guests.
The location is on a flight path for the airport so take some ear plugs. the water pressure is not great, perhaps as you are on the rooftop in a little simple but ok room. They did say water pressure drops after 11:30pm, but I showered before morning and night before that and the water pressure is not great.
Once again the staff were great and gave me free tea and very apologetic for the incorrect location. Perhaps they could leave a kettle in the room for the future. Thanks for making me feel welcome after the initial mixup and more importantly fixed it for future guests.
- Osama (10/5): Exceptional - Ghizlane and her husband were incredibly helpful and generous hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and exciting as possible. They helped with the itinerary, telling us of unmissable sites plus providing a useful illustrated map of the city. They even gave us tips on how to get around plus how to get the best value for money when out shopping.
The home cooked Moroccan breakfast was delicious and provided the ideal start to our day.
Our privacy was respected throughout our stay and we had a pretty private balcony all to ourselves.
Would definitely recommend this place
- Amira (10/5): Excellent would stay again. - It was quiet and very comfortable and excellent. Was spotless and smelled clean. The breakfast good value for money. The bedroom was a little bit smaller than expected.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - The place was really very beautiful, and the treatment was very classy, you will meet a wonderful artist, everything was good, the treatment, the communication, it will give you a comfortable feeling, even the breakfast was very good and everything was wonderful,

- Katrien (8/5): Welcome to Marrakesh - Super friendly couple, they treat you like a king. They made sure that we were pickedup at the airport, made us a very nice dinner, despite the late hour.Nice decoration, nice private terrace. The room is very small, difficult to put 2 luggages in the room.3th floor
- Zeynep (9/5): Superb - It’s home like in a riad. Felt safe and the owner is friendly
- Milana (10/5): Everything is perfect - everything was just wonderful, very nice hosts, enough privacy, clean and very cozy No card payment
- Luca (10/5): Our host was amazing. She and her husband were available at all times and offered amazing advice and tips as well as del - We had our own room and bathroom and access to our own terrace which was absolutely stunning! I cannot think of anything that I did not like, it was perfect in my opinion
- Rajas (10/5): A Hidden Gem in Marrakesh- Home of artist. - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dar L'Artiste in Marrakesh, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of creativity, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
The hosts at Dar L'Artiste are not just innkeepers; they are true artists in every sense. Their passion for art is evident in every corner of the house, from the meticulously decorated rooms to the stunning terrace that offers nice views of Marrakesh.
What sets this hotel apart is the personal touch and care provided by the hosts. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests feel not just like visitors, but like cherished friends. The level of attention and genuine interest in their guests' well-being is truly remarkable.
One of the standout features of Dar L'Artiste is the culinary experience. The hosts, who are not only skilled artists but also talented chefs, create a menu that tantalizes the taste buds with a perfect blend of local flavors and international influences. Each meal is a masterpiece, reflecting the creativity and passion that infuse every aspect of this unique home.
The beds are very comfy and the attention to detail in the decor creates a cozy and inviting ambiance, making it a joy to return to after a day of exploring Marrakesh.
Dar L'Artiste is not just a house; it's an immersive experience that combines art, hospitality, and food. If you're seeking a truly unique and memorable stay in Marrakesh than going for Riads which is in a crowded neighborhood, look no further than Dar L'Artiste. The neighborhood is so calm with a park nearby which makes the day more positive and the hosts Ghizlane and Salah is always there for any help. It gives real happiness to talk to them and I can't wait for the opportunity to return to this hidden gem and stay at this place for bit more longer days.
