• Kath (10/5): An absolute must stopover between Cusco and Ollantaytambo - I absolutely loved my stay at Sky Dome. The room was amazing and the views were spectacular. It was so quiet and we could wander the property, hang out with the alpacas and llamas and just mooch about. Brownie the dog came for a walk with me and then sat with me for an hour while I looked across the valleys to the town and the Salkantay mountain. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and just what I was after. There was a full moon, but I still did the star gazing experience as I wanted to understand how the Incans viewed the stars before my trek to Machu Picchu. And learn how to make a Pisco Sour. I also did the alpaca walk with Cidelia to the local Inca ruin, where she shared with me stories of her childhood and growing up in this town. It was such a unique experience - being in these Incan ruins that not many tourists see and to pick up and touch Incan pottery that is scattered around the site. Cidelia helped me to arrange local drivers to collect me from Cusco, as well as to drive me to Moray and Maras (and stop there) on my way to Ollantaytambo. Such an easy and stress free experience, particularly as a solo female traveller. I wish I had more time here, but my itinerary didn't allow it. Do yourself an absolute favour and stay here. You will not regret it, the chance to be quiet and contemplate and to be with such lovely hosts. n/a

Contratei serviço privado para ir até lá depois de um passeio, foi um pouco difícil chegar no início da noite, recomendo que faça check-in cedo, também para aproveitar mais o lugar, que é incrível.
• Charvi (9/5): A unique experience worth doing. - The staff is so friendly and the place is so unique! It’s a great way to experience the mountains and enjoy the surroundings. We loved seeing the llamas and alpacas on the property and playing with them. Just wish the kitchen was open a little longer, we got there around 7:30 pm from the train station due to traffic but the kitchen closed at 7 so we ended up skipping dinner.

Cidelia, Joel and the team made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure our stay was extremely special. We went on the alpaca walk to the ruins with Cidelia. It was a magical experience and one that will stay with us forever. And the views are spectacular! If you're looking for a memorable experience in the Sacred Valley, I highly recommend SkyDome Peru. 10/10.

It is so peaceful here, the sky domes are absolutely magnificent and Cidelia and her family make you feel immediately at home and part of the family. The food cooked by Rosa was also amazing, best chaufa I have had here in Peru. I also went on a walk with the alpacas to “undiscovered” inca ruins, which was also amazing. A unique experience that I would 100% recommend to everyone!!

• Janin (10/5): Absolut empfehlenswert, besondere Erfahrung. - Tolle Location mit wundervollem Ausblick, super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Heißes Duschwasser und die Wärmflasche in der Nacht hat es schön kuschelug warm gemacht. Schöne Größe der Unterkunft, es gibt immer Tee und Obst, freilaufende Lamas und Alpakas und super süße Hunde. Die Walking Tour mit den Lamas war sehr toll und können wir absolut empfehlen, wir haben sehr viel gelernt. Am besten die Fahrt über die Gastgeber organisieren lassen. Dass wir leider nur eine Nacht gebucht haben.
• Martina (10/5): - Amazing accommodation - we loved our stay and wish we could stay more than one night. The views are just breathtaking, our hosts were so lovely and attentive - thank you! Dinner was provided (not included) and was very good. Breakfast was simple but nice. They also booked a taxi for us to get back to the city. If sunny it gets quite hot in the dome but we didn’t really spend much time there during the day. The floors are also quite cold, especially in the bathroom, so slippers would be a good idea.

Daarnaast zijn de eigenaren ontzettend aardig en hebben ons heel goed geholpen toen wij last hadden van hoogteziekte. Tot slot hebben wij een hele mooie wandeling gemaakt met de lama’s en alpaca, super bijzonder in deze prachtige omgeving! Niet van toepassing
• Marcus (10/5): Een waanzinnig en unieke ervaring! - Wat een heerlijke ervaring was dit. Het ligt vrij afgelegen en dus moet je met de auto over een hobbelig zandpad om er te komen. Maar als je er dan bent gaat er een prachtige wereld open. De ligging en daarmee het uitzicht is ronduit waanzinnig. De eigenaren (een jong stel die nu een paar jaar bezig is) hebben er een hele fijne, warme plek van gemaakt inclusief een paar superlieve honden, lama's en alpaka's. De gezamenlijke ruimte is relatief eenvoudig maar wel precies dat wat je verwacht en wat ons betreft nodig hebt. Je kunt er prima eten voor een gunstige prijs, er staat standaard, de hele dag door koffie, (coca)thee en fruit voor je klaar. Ook krijg je s'avonds een warme kruik mee naar de kamer. Super lief en ook niet overbodig want het is er best fris in de nacht. De kamer is een waanzinnige ervaring. Vanaf je bed ervaar je een prachtig uitzicht over de Andes. De kamers zijn ruim en hebben alles wat je nodig hebt (inclusief extra dikke dekens en kleden). Wij zijn snachts ons bed uitgegaan om de zonsopgang mee te pakken. Terwijl we dit deden kwam 1 van de honden bij ons zitten tot we weer vertrokken. Daarnaast zaten de lama's en alpaka's lekker te grazen dus de setting was te gek. Je kunt er ook fantastisch wandelen langs een oude Inca ruine. Als je wilt loopt 1 van de eigenaren met je mee. De eigenaren zijn enorm behulpzaam, lief en zorgen overal voor, inclusief het regelen van taxies. Dit was 1 van onze meest bijzondere ervaringen ooit. Deze plek wordt met zoveel liefde beheert en kan dit alleen maar aanbevelen voor een heerlijke vakantie. Bedankt voor de goede zorg! Helemaal niets. Oke, de kamers waren snachts vrij koud maar daar kunnen zij niet veel aan doen. 1 tip: een plankje in de douche zou fijn zijn om je spullen kwijt te kunnen. Verder niets anders dan lof!
• marius (10/5): Die beste Zeit unserer Peru Reise - Wir hatten eine Unglaublich Zeit. Die beste Aussicht in ganz Peru, tolles Essen und eine sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite Familie, welche die Unterkunft leitet. Es wurde uns gezeigt, was wir machen können, welche Wege wir am besten nehmen, aber auch der Sternenhimmel. Welche Sterne man gerade sieht oder wo gerade einer entsteht. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr schön und es ist einfach ein Traum morgens aufzuwachen und ein Lama oder Alpaka steht vor dem Fenster und Frisst. Man kann die Tiere streicheln und erfährt einiges über Sie. Vor allem werden die Tiere als Haustiere bezeichnet, was man auch an dem warmherzigen Umgang aufnimmt. Wir haben extra nochmal um eine Nacht verlängert, da es uns so sehr gefallen hat. Wir würden immer wieder hier herkommen und auf jedenfall für mindestens 2 Nächte bleiben. Das Highlight der Unterkunft: Wache, Tourguide und Entertainer Hund Brownie. Wir werden hier alles vermissen.

• Franziska (10/5): Absolute Empfehlung!! - Der Aufenthalt im Sky Dome Peru war wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes und definitiv eines der Highlights unserer Peru-Reise. Allein der atemberaubende Ausblick macht die Fahrt dorthin absolut lohnenswert. Vom Dome aus konnten wir direkt den Sonnenuntergang beobachten – einfach wunderschön. Die gesamte Umgebung bietet ein unglaubliches Panorama, und nicht weit entfernt kann man zu einer Inka-Stätte wandern, von der aus man ebenfalls eine spektakuläre Aussicht hat. Besonders schön fanden wir auch die Alpakas im Garten – super süß und ein tolles Extra, das den Aufenthalt noch einzigartiger gemacht hat. Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Außerdem sprechen sie sehr gut Englisch, was vieles erleichtert hat. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und die Preise dafür absolut fair. Die Domes selbst waren sauber und gemütlich. Das Bett war tatsächlich das bequemste, das wir während unserer gesamten Peru-Reise hatten. Mit den warmen Decken und den Wärmflaschen am Abend mussten wir trotz der kühlen Temperaturen nachts überhaupt nicht frieren. Auch die Dusche hatte angenehm warmes Wasser. Insgesamt eine absolut besondere Unterkunft mit einzigartiger Atmosphäre, traumhafter Aussicht und unglaublich herzlichen Gastgebern – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

• Sarah (10/5): - A truly incredible place in the Sacred Valley. It was perfect to relax after Machu Picchu and enjoy the beautiful views, walk to to nearby ruins, and interact with the friendly llamas and Alpacas. The hosts go out of their way to look after you, they helped us organise transfers, set up a fire one evening so we could stargaze, and shared the local history. An experience that can't be described!
• Hu (10/5): We started our stay with a warming dinner prepared by the host after late check in. To our surprise, the room is very sp - Very comfortable and clean room surrounded by amazing view of nature. Hosts are super friendly and courtesy. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
• Manuel (10/5): - Sky Dome ist ein Erlebnis, das man in Peru gemacht haben muss. Die Tour durchs heilige Tal wurde auf unsere Wünsche zugeschnitten inkl. Abholung aus einer anderen Unterkunft. Die Unterkunft selber ist Glamping pur. Grade außerhalb der Saison kann es in der privaten Hütte auch mal frisch werden. Aber: Es sind genug Decken vorhanden, es gibt eine Wärmflasche und das Bett ist super gemütlich. Die Aussicht auf die Sterne und in das Tal ist einmalig. Wenn es einem auf Grund der Höhenlage nicht so gut gehen sollte, sind alle sehr verständnisvoll und man wird gut umsorgt. Die lokale Küche ist auch hervorragend!

• Beatriz (10/5): A highlight of our trip to Peru - highly recommend! - One of our favourite hotels of this trip - this is such a special place, with lovely staff and the most incredible views. Highly recommend including this in your trip, at least for a night! The activities organised by the hotel are amazing (talk with them to book these!) - they took us on a hike to explore a nearby Inca site, which didn't have any other tourists, a great guided experience! We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and food was always fresh and tasty! Worth noting the hotel is located 3,900m above sea level, so would recommend leaving a few days to acclimatise before arriving here. Nothing to note - everything was great!

We stayed in a dome for a night after hiking Machu Picchu and it was a great experience and very relaxing. It’s easy to get there from Cusco in a taxi. The family are so welcoming and through the alpaca walk we did, were taught about the local areas history and wildlife. The food was great, we had dinner and breakfast and a pisco sour to watch the sunset. The whole experience felt very authentic. Would recommend 100% Nothing!

• James (10/5): The best glamping experience at the gateway to the sacred valley. - Our stay at the Sky Domes was one of the best glamping experiences we’ve had. The domes have an amazing view, with tons of stars at night. The bed was comfy, the hot water endless, and we had lots of blankets and a hot water bottle to keep us warm at night. Yoel and Cidelia are amazing hosts and tour guides. Definitely add on one of their tours that includes an Alpaca walk. Also, add on dinner, it was restaurant quality with a lot of choices. A freshly cooked meal, hot private shower and flushing toilet while glamping? Absolutely yes! And bonus, you support a local Quechuan family born and raised in the communities below the Sky Domes with tons of local knowledge to share. Nothing, it was a great glamping experience. Be prepared for the elevation.

The dogs brownie and ghostie are adorable and playful and lovely. The alpaca and lama are also so good! The food is fantastic! The ingredients are freshly sourced and it even smells amazing! They took the extra effort of dropping us to Chincehro because taxis were not available and we would have missed our tour! Just incredible and the highlight of my tour to Peru Nothing!!!

Some highlights of the stay included delicious traditional food and seeing the wonderful alpacas and llamas roaming around and showing up outside our dome! The rooms were also really comfortable and cosy. We would highly recommend! We really can’t fault this place, we had a fantastic stay!
• Christoph (10/5): - Our stay here Was AMAZING! Definetely a big Highlight of our 6 weeks Trip through Perú. The Domes are lovely, cozy and the view is amazing. The staff was suuuuper friendly, and the food delicious. The alpakas were super friendly and cute, I strongly recommend the alpaca picknick. There is also a great hike up the mountain with breathtaking views of the sacred valley, we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in our life up there. The Ruins close by are also some of the best in the Cusco and luckily not touristy at all. I think the pricing is also very fair for what you get. Dont hesitate to book, I can strongly recommend staying here!!!! Nothing

The stay was excellent, with gorgeous views from the Domes and Inca ruins to explore nearby. The alpaca/llama walking and picnic activities were wonderful! Det var helt perfekt - Det er med længder det hyggeligste og bedste ophold vi har haft i hele Peru, personalet var fantastiske og deres sted var så flot og helt generelt en helt perfekt overnatning. Naturen i området er helt speciel, og med en lille gåtur kan man gå lige ned til et gammelt Inca site. Naturen og dyrene de har, både hunde og lamaer, skaber bare en helt speciel ro, og er det perfekte sted til en god getaway fra midtbyerne. Maden de lavede var også super lækkert. Kæmpe anbefaling og klart pengene værd!!!

Le confort de la chambre était parfait, et le personnel ainsi que les propriétaires ont été d’une gentillesse et d’une attention remarquables. • Florian (10/5): Cosy and tranquil mountain stay with unique view, food and activities - Amazing tranquil experience in the Andean mountains and around the sacred valley. Far from buzzing Cusco this is a place that offers calmness but also activities/adventures depending how you choose from their offered several activities such as Alpaca walk, traditional Peruvian self-built stone oven bbq, romantic picnic, salt mine tour and several other activities and tours which you can ask prior to your stay or just arrange once there. Waking up to a majestic view in a beautiful and cozy dome room with a coffee in bed was a unique experience. Love to remember that! The host family is super cute and caring, they are very supportive and make the stay special. The rooms are clean with amazing view and furnished with love and care. The dinner is freshly cooked and soooo delicious! Diverse and very special local menu options. I loved the food there. Fully recommend! Stay for at least 2-3 nights to allow to arrive and calm down and include activities without time pressure. It’s on high altitude. If you feel some symptoms of altitude sickness, the hosts give you oxygen which helped me.

• REBOURS (9/5): Très belle expérience pour une nuit ! - Un accueil très chaleureux à notre arrivée ! La chambre est belle propre et confortable. Nous n'avons pas eu froid et les hôtes ont pris soin de nous donner tout de même des bouillottes après le dîner. Le petit déjeuner est compris mais vous devez commander et payer les autres repas. En même temps c'est mieux car la localisation fait que vous ne vous pas vraiment manger ailleurs. Présence des Alpacas dans le domaine. On a pu donner le biberon à l'un d'eux c'était génial. Superbe vue depuis la chambre et lit TRÈS confortable. Aucune nuisance sonore. Vous pouvez réserver des activités auprès des hôtes comme des balades avec les Alpacas ou autres coutumes locales! Les hôtes nous ont gentiment déposés à l'arrêt de bus à Chinchero pour notre prochaine étape. Des taxes et frais supplémentaires ont été appliqués par dessus le prix de notre réservation, faites attention à cela sur Booking. C'était une superbe expérience mais cela reste un coût je trouve... Les douches communes en extérieur sont propres mais dépêchez-vous, l'eau chaude est timides si vous tardez à vous rincer!

The owners also showed us (because we had ordered some) how to make Pisco Sour correctly - not in a mixer like in almost all resaurants. Best Pisco Sour we have ever tasted! We knew in advance that the shower was not in our room - would have been nice if it had been but that is how the rooms are constructed.

When we came across this property, we COULD NOT wait to get there and let me tell you...Sky Dome Peru DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not only were the owners so lovely, their kiddos, alpacas, llamas, and puppies made the property feel like a welcoming home away from home. The food was delicious, the views were incredible, the room was more spacious than expected, and the excursions/tours the owners offered were such a wonderful highlight. Sedalia and Joel were the best hosts and we're so grateful that we had the opportunity to stay at their amazing property!! The fact that we didn't spend more time at Sky Dome Peru. • Nikki (9/5): Heavenly star gazing - The view was amazing. The bed was comfy with extra blankets and a hot water bottle to keep warm. Spending time with the alpacas and lllamas was an unexpected bonus. It's a small family business, which makes for a sweetly intimate experience. The property is quite isolated, so you kind of have to have dinner on site, (at an addiitional cost) which is fine. There is no option to notify in advance of special dietary requirements, so the chef is prepared.

• Asia (10/5): Un paradiso - Sky dome: un paradiso Sky dome è una struttura a pochi km da Chinchero, immersa nella natura e interamente a conduzione famigliare. Le bellissime camere hanno una vista a 360 gradi, un letto confortevole e un wc privato. Le docce si trovano all’esterno delle abitazioni, ma sono comunque pulitissime e abbiamo sempre trovato l’acqua calda. La struttura al momento può ospitare al massimo 3 coppie di ospiti, rendendo il tutto più intimo. C’è la possibilità di fare colazione e cenare nell’area principale, in cui sembra di entrare a casa di Joel e la sua splendida moglie (cene deliziose a un prezzo irrisorio). Non ultima per importanza la compagnia dei loro bellissimi alpaca, lama e i due cagnolini Ghosty e Brownie e del loro micetto. Vi è la possibilità di fare diverse esperienze autentiche, noi abbiamo optato per un picnic insieme agli animali e alla passeggiata mattutina, che è stata una delle esperienze più belle che abbiamo mai fatto. Sky dome è autenticità, natura e connessione con il pachamama. Qua si respira la cultura Quechua e il fascino inca. P.S. Vale assolutamente la pena fermarsi qui per almeno due notti
• Romy (10/5): Prachtige omgeving en zeer welkom gevoel - Het prachtige uitzicht en het heerlijke bed. De lama’s en alpaca’s die langs je raam wandelden en de activiteiten die georganiseerd worden. De eigenaresse en eigenaar zijn beide heel erg aardig en weten veel te vertellen over de omgeving. Het eten dat ze klaarmaken is ook heerlijk. Niks.
