• Paula (7/5): The location and price was great for short notice. - At short notice I had accidently booked a room with a shared bathroom and on arrival I was made aware of this and offered a room with a private ensuite at no extra charge which was so very nice. The room was more then we expected especially for the price and we were very happy. The top sheet either had a stain or had not been changed and because we arrived back late at night I could only pull it off then I let someone know when we checked out by texting the number on the office door.
• Movers (2/5): - The only thing I liked was the manager. When we arrived I thought they had a restaurant as I put down we would like a meal bought up to our room.Well they did that it was frozen food bought from a local noodle canteen it was shit and I told the manager so he took me on his car to the noodle shop to confront them 5 chefs looked at it then asked me to pick any dish I wanted I laughed asked for my money back and we left I bought KFC after that.I would not recommend this place because when u pay for a room it should be clean and everything working shower had minimal hot water coming thru we found a bug in one towel that was left out for us the facilities are falling down old and not maintained pass poor if you ask me oh yea check the jug out inside before you use it their maybe bugs in that too he'll no to this place lez lj furniture movers

Wasn't anything I didnt like cos I loved everything about this motel!!

• Gina (8/5): - The room was painted white inside like a little cottage. I liked that. It felt homely and cosy, just the way I wanted to feel from a very long trip alone. From the exterior of the premises its painted black and looked dull and lifeless. The person in reception didn't smile much and there was a language barrier, but he was helpful and accomodating, just not friendly. But he carried my bag to my room and that was kind.

• DELWYN (10/5): This was the 2nd time we've stayed here and would stay again. - Everything we needed was supplied. Very roomy. Fountainview room had a large shower. So handy to town. Lovely being able to walk across the road and sit by Whanganui River. Maybe,the expel air above the shower could be cleaned.
• Sharp (8/5): Thank you very much for your hospitality. We will definitely stay again on my next visit to Wanganui - I was advised the payment transaction had not gone through. The owner kept the room available for us and the payment was made immediately on our arrival. The Motel and our unit were perfectly located. The air conditioning unit was not working. The outside lights were not working. Neither of those two concerns were a problem to us at the time of our stay.
• Yvonne (7/5): Apart from hiccups above, was pleasant and on arrival, staff member assisted me with unloading my lu - Generally all okay, thanks. Bed very comfy. Unsure whether fridge worked though, as didn't appear to be plugged in anywhere?? Having to use a crutch, found distance from carpark to room quite a challenge. The steps were closer than the ramp to access my room..... Also, I received at least 4 bites on my arms - hopefully they are only mosquito bites!! Did tell/show the cleaner, but she pointed to her mouth & then her ear, so I'm not sure whether she understood me or not.... Not having a kitchen sink I find a real challenge - unable to fill the electric jug directly from bathroom tap, plus no means to wash dishes so left unwashed. There was a dish cloth and tea towel provided, but no dishwashing liquid...
• Michael (6/5): Wouldn’t stay again. - King size bed. We booked this place as it has advertised there is a spa in the pool area. The spa is not working as we were advised after check in. Extremely overpriced for what we got.

• Patricia (6/5): Our stay was ok as only needed one night but it was comfortable. - The room and bed were comfortable and sheets and bedding clean and warm. The shower pressure was great and hot water nearly instant. Real milk was provided which was great. The building and units are a bit run down and the signs need updating as still advertise a restaurant.

• Adrian (8/5): - I was moved to a better room although without river view I ordered, however I was ok with change I had to let them know the smoke detector had been blocked, but it was fixed quickly, although it was clean the carpet was quite worn and there were nails or staples that held carpet down that were sticking up along edges and the were sharp, the room in general was a little "tired"

• Jahrn (5/5): Okau - Not too bad of a place to stay, for 5 nights for 2 people is pretty compared to other places. Overall good stay. People were quite loud and had one group drinking right outside my window. People not washing their dishes properly and even taking our foods.

• Kelli (1/5): An absolute nightmare - Swimming pool. BBQ area. Location. Parking. Messed up booking - not enough rooms for us, had to leave early. Had nowhere else to stay so had to travel back down south early - out of pocket for 12 people travelling back early on ferry. Had booked months in advance, then contacted TWICE to confirm the amount of people staying and the amount of units booked. Arrived late xmas eve and 5 of 12 of us had nowhere to sleep -everything else booked out. Slept on mattresses & top & tailed in 3 tiny rooms (with small children). Rooms smelt like urine & vomit. Ornaments on shelves undusted & had dead flies in them. Shared kitchen had nothing supplied, no plates, cutlery, cooking gear. "units" were nothing like photos & need updating to reflect what they now look like. Shower/bathroom facilities were really thick with black mould. Skirting boards thick with black grime - 1cm high. No hot water - hot water lasted about 30 seconds only. Toilets smelt really really bad. Would definitely advise to book elsewhere

• Adrian (2/5): Very disappointed, Did mange to move rooms away from the road. - Property has seen better days. Was more like a run down hostel than a motel, can’t possibly see it being used as a conference centre. and is sorely in need of renovation.

There was inadequate toilet rolls, handsoap, in the toilets and the place was full. Road noise made sleeping difficult, and no drinks at all supplied, no coffee, tea or milk.
