• Susan (9/5): Lovely place to stay - Everything! The location is perfect with lovely views The fridge desperately needs defrosting, there is so much ice in the icebox, there is little room to put anything else in there. Apart from that everything was perfect.

• Graham (10/5): Stunning location, a home from home in a period listed property in a beautiful harbour town - The location is stunning, the apartment was extremely clean, lovely shower, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen The only thing missing for us that we normally find in this type of accomodation was shampoo and shower gel but otherwise perfect!

I recon summer would be even better. The views from the windows, how spacious it was and beautifully decorated.

• John (10/5): Christmas at Harbour View - My second Christmas at Harbour View. The apartment is so lovely. It's very comfortable indeed. The host made some very nice finishing touches for Christmas, which was very kind to them. I don't know why some people have left reviews moaning about the windows. Pier Terrace is a listed building, with lots of character. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the windows at all. Even when it was windy outside, I could hardly notice it. It's a very peaceful apartment. I would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay in West Bay. Everything is right on the doorstep!
• Tank & Co (10/5): Fantastic location - Beautiful location with easterly views to beach & cliffs and westerly views over the piers, harbour, along the beach front plus far reaching views to Devon. Very comfortable & bright appartment with good heating. Dog friendly & thanks for the Christmas Tree, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar & milk

• Susan (8/5): We’ve already booked to return, which says it all! - Location: Brilliant spot overlooking the harbour, perfect for watching crab fishing and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Convenience: Plenty of nearby places to eat and drink, with the beach just a short stroll away. Overall Impression: A very good stay — the setting made it easy to relax and soak up West Bay life. Minor Issue: The dishwasher needed a repair, as it was stuck on a quick program.

• Sarah (9/5): Amazing location. Amazing views. Amazingly comfy bed 👍 - Amazing location. Even if it's raining there is something to watch out the windows. View is directly over Harbour. Bed is super, super comfortable 😴 Windows could have been cleaner on the outside. We leant out and wiped them to allow a clearer view
• Daniel (10/5): Amazing - The location was so close to the beach. Literally on the door step! The apartment was really well presented and lovely views on to the harbour and to the beach . The Pub opposite was lovely and very dog friendly. Nothing. Only comment was that in the instructions it didn’t give us the apartment number but we worked it out 😊

• Lena (8/5): Great little flat next to the beach - Great location, right next to the beach, shops, take aways and arcade. Lovely kitchen, comfy sofa bed, comfy double bed and modern clean bathroom. Great for a couple or family with one child like us. Great electric heaters for cold nights. Warm blankets are provided. Easy entry and exit. Park on the residential streets around to avoid the 4 hour limit and large charges. The windows need attention or secondary glazing like some of the other flats in the block, the first night was windy and raining and even with the heaters on the old windows let through so much wind we had to sleep in full bedclothes and fleeces. The lack of proper curtains in the lounge also let's in the cold. The fridge freezer needs checking in arrival, it was left on full and froze our salad stuff.

• Sue (8/5): Very good - Great location. The flat was immaculately clean and modern. On entering the property the first impression was disappointing. The hallway looked tired and dated and could be more welcoming. The windows were very draughty, but we appreciate that this is probably a listed building and therefore it's not possible to change the wooden window frames.

• Andrew (8/5): Pleasant off season break. Soe nice walk to enjoy - apartment was as expected and well equipped. View from the breakfast table across the harbour was very nice there was an airiness to the place which was fine and at busier times parking would be tricky.

The bathroom is a bit chilly and settee a bit uncomfortable, but cushions helped. A smart TV would be useful if the weather is bad, but we were fortunate.

• John (10/5): Harbour View, Pier Terrace, West Bay. - My brother and I stayed at Pier Terrace for Christmas. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, they even left us a bottle of wine, which was incredibly kind! The apartment was very comfortable, and absolutely spotless. The building has lots of character. West Bay is so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again, without doubt. Harbour View is highly recommended. Thank you so much!

• Conrad (6/5): Excellent location but lounge had no curtains, so using the sofa as a bed is just impossible. - Location was excellent. The flat was clean and had a good kitchen. There were no curtains in the lounge, so our daughter who was sleeping on the sofa woke very early in the morning and the lights in the street kept her awake at night. This could be easily remedied for future guests.

Crabbing in the harbour Dining in the inn opposite Travelling fairground. Close to Lyme Regis and Charmouth for Fossil Hunting. It was a fabulous place to make memories xx The hallway and stairs dated but fitted in with the age of the property

• Abigail (8/5): perfect apartment for exploring West Bay and the Jurassic Coast. - An excellent apartment, ideally located right by the beach in West Bay, perfect for exploring the town and further afield. It was clean and comfortable with good facilities for cooking. Loved the nice touch of a bottle of wine and pint of milk in the fridge on arrival. There are a limited number of parking spaces allocated for the flats but we did not have a problem parking. The temperature control on the shower was very stiff and difficult to adjust, could not get anything hotter than a tepid shower. Some of the window catches are broken and don't all close well, leading to a lot of draughts on windy days.
• Jane (8/5): Great location. Great views. Spacious and well equipped. Pleasant and helpful host. - The apartment was spacious. Good views over the harbour and inland. Excellent location. We were only there one night so didn’t do any cooking or other domestic stuff but it seemed to be very well equipped with kitchen equipment, cleaning products etc. Pint of milk awaiting us in the fridge, thank you, that was so welcome. Basics like tea bags and washing up liquid were provided - certainly enough for a few days, so one can just settle in before having to go shopping. (Holiday apartments vary a lot in what basics, if any, are provided and in some cases we’ve had to buy washing up liquid and sponges, tea towels, salt and pepper.) Communal areas, such as the hallway and stairs, were a bit shabby. This isn’t the responsibility of this host, but just gives a poor first impression.

• Vincent (9/5): Fantastic - Location right on West Bay beach, harbour and easy access to Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Bridport and many independent shops and restaurants were close by. Love the rainfall shower Guests staying in the living room need to bring an eye mask as there are no black out blinds. Unless you like waking at 5am with the sun up!

Brilliant location, right by the beach, the harbour quay and a pub and cafe. Plus West Bay has everything you could want in the way of pubs, cafes shops etc Being an old building the windows aren’t the most draft proof and on a very stormy day it leaches out the warmth, which is countered by good heaters in the living and bedroom - but the bathroom heater simply wasn’t able to cope on those two days - so we didn’t hang around long in there after a shower LOL!

• Watts (10/5): Away with the grandkids - Brought the grandkids here for the weekend while mum and dad moved house.(like 5 miles up the road)!! Had everything home from home and the dishwasher came in very handy. Wet and windy weekend but didn't stop us having fun on the beach dodging the waves and in the arcade and pasties and scones from local stores. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing to not like at all.
