• Manuela (7/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - Es war insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, Abendessen und Morgenessen war gut, leider mussten wir ein Zimmerwechsel vollziehen obwohl wir schon ein halbes Jahr zum Voraus gebucht hatten wegen einer Gruppe , wir konnten das nicht nachvollziehen. Leider hatte die Suite die wir beziehen konnten nicht den Charme und das Ambiente wie das ursprünglich gebuchte Zimmer. Die Einrichtung war nicht unser Geschmack

• Natalia (7/5): Agreable - L etablissement est tres beau. Il est bien entretenu et propre. Il est agreable. L accueil tres stricte, l heure c est l heure. On a ressenti l inquiétude de la dame de l accueil surement débordée. Bien plus souriante et avenante au moment du depart.

• Thierry Axel (10/5): Un petit endroit magique... - Site exceptionnel. Petit hôtel/restaurant très confortable au pied des falaises de la Dordogne. Ambiance "maison de famille". Au petit-dejeuner, les biscottes un peu "passées" : il faudrait songer à les renouveler.
• JOHANNE (8/5): Très bon séjour dans un cadre agréable, à proximité de lieux d’intérêt. - Établissement de caractère, bel emplacement, bon restaurant, grande piscine pour se délasser après une journée de visites, bon petit déjeuner, serviettes pour la piscine, produits d’accueil en chambre. Décoration et mobilier datés, piscine un peu fraîche. Il serait agréable de pouvoir prendre le petit déjeuner en terrasse.

• Alexandra (8/5): A delightful spot and well worth a visit. - The hotel was beautifully located in a small hamlet right under the cliffs, not too far from the famous Rocamadour. It had a delightful garden and a very pretty outlook, full of sunlight and singing birds. The decor inside is fairly basic, but clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The food was good and the breakfast was plentiful. The staff were particularly kind and helpful. The lack of a lift meant that staying on the second floor was a bit of a hike with all our luggage.

Spacious room and well appointed bathroom. The window of our room (23) looked out directly onto the patio and windows of the house next door and we had no blinds or net curtains!

• Robin (8/5): Lovely Hotel in Lovely Setting. - Wonderful traditional hotel in a lovely setting. The owner and staff were excellent and looked after us very well. Limited menu in Restaurant. We stayed for 5 nights but only used the restaurant for the first two evening meals because "Le Menu" only offered one choice and was the same every day. The "A la carte" menu was limited and again did not change from day to day. So, for variety, we dined elsewhere for the rest of the week. Breakfast was OK but EUR 12 was costly for bread and jam and coffee.
• David (10/5): A lovely stay in a perfect hotel with lovely friendly hosts - The location of the hotel is fantastic. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The room with terrace was ideal, it was a shame we couldn't have enjoyed it more due to the rain. The meal in the restaurant was first class. We would not hesitate in staying again nothing at all
• Sharen (9/5): It made a difficult few days much pleasanter than it might have been. - I felt I’d fallen on my feet as everything was great. I’d had to book at short notice in half term week close to a remote hamlet to attend my cousin’s funeral. The first morning the croissants were not fresh but there was so much choice it hardly signified. The next day they were fresh and delicious.

• Mairin (8/5): Quiet retreat on the Dordogne - Loved the location under the cliffs. Gluges has some semi-troglodyte dwellings. Loved the hotel's outdoor space..... bar, patio, pool, garden. Fantastic that it was so close to the river Dordogne where we had swim at Gluges 'plage'. Great for canoeing on the Dordogne. Restaurant was pretty good too.

• Julian (9/5): This combined with the nearby town of Martel is the best that we have seen in France. Seriously. - The location and vista were stunning. Huge grounds with a very big swimming pool and spa. (See the photos) Martel village is 5 Km away and it so pretty. Incredibly picturesque. Highly recommended. The shower was very small. The pillows could have been softer.

• Clare (8/5): A great stop over for two nights. - Very picturesque location. The hotel is outside of Martel so need to use the car really. Hotel grounds are lovely. Rooms are quite dated but perfectly comfortable. Hotel food amazing quality. Make sure you go on the train ride round the Dordogne. It’s definitely worth it! No lift to upper floors.

• John (9/5): Nice hotel and restaurant - Very welcoming - good sized room with working a/c (many properties say they have it but actually it's just a fan - this was the real thing, and very much appreciated). Nothing worth mentioning

• Vivien (9/5): This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in France for location, car parking and ambience. - The dinner and breakfast was very good. This is a characterful property in a lovely location, particularly if you want to hire a canoe on the Dordogne in the summer. We have done this further along the river down to the water park and would thoroughly recommend this safe activity in a river that is only about 4 foot deep in most places. Life jackets are provided but you do need sunscreen and lots of water. You could even pack a picnic. The property was hosting a wedding later in the day that we left. Because they were full with wedding guests, we were on the third floor with no lift. However, it was no real problem and the young man did offer to carry the bags upstairs.

• Stephen (10/5): Really Enjoyable Stay in a Friendly Hotel with Perfect Location! - Breakfast was excellent. Home made bread and jam was delicious! Evening meal was excellent too. Could not fault it and would definitely return. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom nice and spacious. The hotel is ideally situated if you don't want to be far away from Martel but would prefer total peace and quiet and be surrounded by nature. Just wonderful. Perfect location for a wedding reception.... Cannot understand why it is only a 2 star hotel..... The bedroom was basic, but we knew that before we booked, so it didn't come as a surprise. Bed was super comfortable.

• Sayed (9/5): Superb - The property is straight outside a fairlytale! very cute stone building by the mountain, close to the lovely village of Martel. clean, comfortable and spacious maybe just some facilities in the suite, such as a kettle and a fridge.
