- Elizabeth (5/5): It looks better in the photos - The pool was very nice although the chlorine must have been very strong is it ruined all of our swimwear turning them (and my daughters blonde hair) green! The host kindly called a taxi for us to go into Conil one evening (it's a 40 minute walk and the house is located in a place that is difficult to direct a taxi to). The house needs renovation, it could be lovely but everything was very old. The stairs creak so badly, it feels like they will collapse. The kitchen area smelt so bad: we realised on the last day that this was due to the bad smell of the washing machine and an old stinky cloth under the sink. We used the washing machine on the last day but it made our clothes dirty with lots of brown detritus. The beds are uncomfortable and the bed sheets fitted badly which meant that I kept waking up to find I was sleeping directly on the mattress :( The EURO100 deposit which we were asked to pay in cash was not available to be returned to us when we checked out. We waited 30 minutes outside the house whilst the host started cleaning the house and were eventually told that it would be transferred to us by international bank transfer. The deposit payment is very unnecessary and the delay in leaving caused us to be late returning to the airport. We paid EUR160 per night on a 3 night stay in August.
