Guest Reviews
- Rebecca (9/5): Great place to explore Exeter from for a few days - Great location
- Tim (9/5): Perfect property for a larger group in a central location. - Great location beautiful building perfect for our needs. Hosts prompt and concise with communication The headache in the morning!!

- Heather (9/5): - The house was unique in the rentals market. You could really channel your inner Georgian persona! Atmospheric sitting room. Large well apponted kitchen. Lots of seperate sitting areas if people wanted. Lovely garden which would be brilliant in the summer. Absolutely fantastic location in the middle of Exeter, close to all facilities. Owners were very responsive to some queries we had on arrival. Would highly recommend. For such a large house, just to be aware, there wasn't a downstairs WC so people either had to use the en-suite on the 1st floor or the family bathroom 2 floors up. Also, while this is referred to as a 5 bedroom house, 2 of the rooms are open to each other, so good for children but not so much for adults.
- Beryl (5/5): Rather disappointing, considering what we paid to stay. - The location was perfect - very central to Exeter and walking to where we wanted to go. The property was rather run down. Lights were out in the kitchen area, tiles in the bathrooms were cracked and one drain was clogged, which we had to clean out. The owner sent a handyman to fix the lights the next day but he was unable to do anything. The garden was rather overgrown too, although that did not impact us very much

- Susan (6/5): Nice stay in a good location but short of two single beds - Good location According to details there should have been two rooms with twin beds but there was only one room. Therefore, a guest had to sleep on the sofa downstairs
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - A very pleasant stay, the house was comfortable and so convenient for the cathedral and shops and buses. Also lovely and spacious with a garden where you could sit outside.
- Jo (8/5): A lovely house with everything we needed for a group of people visiting Exeter. - Big rooms, large social kitchen area. Very well located for the city centre and the river. We had a great stay! It would be good to put a door in the archway between two of the rooms so that they are separate as the description says 5 bedrooms, but actually, it's 4 bedrooms (unless you want to share).
- Lindsay (5/5): Such potential but not well kept and disappointing for such a large amount of money. Would request partial refund. - The size of the property, the double beds were very comfortable and the city centre location was very convenient. Upon arriving we weren’t sure it was the property as the grass was unkept and garden quite overgrown.
The kitchen side had tea stains, cooking equipment thrown into random drawers and radio and bins were not clean - all stained and mould in the top of the bin and recycling bin.
There were cracked tiles in the kitchen and the bathrooms which were sharp on bare feet and looked grubby.
At least one of the chairs around the kitchen table were rickety/ needs looking at.
The curtains in the first double room were not fitted properly and hanging loose.
The second email didn’t come in until the next day after arrival and so we had to guess our way around as there were no paper or online instructions.
The description of car parking for 3 cars might be a bit generous as probably there is only room for 2 in reality.
Really disappointed as not good value for a fair amount of money. Would request a partial refund.
- Ryan (10/5): A lovely, comfortable property in the centre of Exeter. - Great location, large size. Great for socialising in.
Parking in the centre was ideal for our needs.
Clean, well equipped. There are two bedrooms connected by an archway. It would have been nice to have a door or curtains over the archway for additional privacy, although this was a major problem for us.
- Niall (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal for a family get together to celebrate our daughters graduation. A 7 minute walk from the Cathedral and a 10 minute walk away from the Quays
