• Sergio Carvajal C (10/5): Cabinas D'Val - Increíble la estancia en Cabinas D'Val. Un lugar que cuenta con todas las comodidades para tener una estancia confortable en un ambiente hermoso. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y muy bien equipadas. Además, Scott es una gran persona y un excelente anfitrión siempre preocupado por el bienestar de los huéspedes y dispuesto a ayudar en lo que se necesite. Definitivamente espero regresar pronto.

• Laura (9/5): - Die Cabinas sind total schön eingerichtet, sehr ruhig gelegen und wirklich nur 10 min zu fuß von einem der eingänge vom Marina Ballena Nationalpark enfernt. Es gibt auch viele Cafes und resturantes drumherum. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ist unkompliziert und er ist freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Das einzige was ein wenig gestört hat, das es eben in den Zim er keinen kleinen tisch zum essen gibt, wenn es draußen zu heiß ist.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es nur weiterempfehlen! Wenn ich was suchen müsste, dann das die Pfeile für die Dartscheibe zu alt sind und bei mir nicht funktioniert haben. Aber ich habe auch nicht weiter nachgefragt, da meine Frau nicht Dartbegeistert ist 😉

• Katharina (10/5): - Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Die Cabinas sind hübsch, gut ausgestattet, supersauber und auch die Lage ist toll. Man läuft nur 5 Minuten zu einem der Nationalparkeingänge (und Strand). Scott gibt hier auch tolle Tipps und ist überhaupt insgesamt ein ganz großartiger Gastgeber!! Wir kamen viel zu früh an und konnten schon vorher den Pool usw nutzen und dann auch deutlich früher ins Apartment. In der kleinen Outdoor-Gemeinschaftsküche war alles da, was man braucht und auch im Zimmer hatten wir eine kleine Ausstattung und Kühlschrank. Wir würden auf jeden Fall immer wieder hierher kommen.

It was gorgeous. The rooms were so comfortable and the outdoor rancho was perfect for cooking our evening meals - although so many good restaurants around if you don’t want to. Scott was extremely welcoming and they had sent so much brilliant information beforehand - thank you ! We wished we could have stayed longer ! Nothing- all perfect.

• Veronika (8/5): - super gute Lage 5 Min zu Fuss vom herrlichen Strand des Nationalparks, der auch nicht überlaufen ist, da der Eintritt 6 Dollar kostet. es war der schönste Strand der ganzen Reise! Gute Zimmergrösse, prima Bad und kleine Küche, Klimaanlage. Beim Bett müsste die Matratze mal erneuert werden, war aber ok für uns. Sonst sehr gut gepflegt. Strandtücher stehen zur Verfügung. Hübscher Sitzplatz vor dem Zimmer und kleiner Pool in grünem Garten mit vielen Vögeln. Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr netter Besitzer. Bettwäsche synthetisch... das ist in Costa Rica aber oft der Fall, ich nehme immer ein Baumwolltuch mit, auf dem ich schlafe, denn bei der Wärme ist Synthetik unangenehm. (9/5): Mooie locatie en een chille vibe - Relaxte sfeer, eigenaar heel vriendelijk, bekommert om zijn gasten, perfecte locatie, dicht bij het strand/op loop afstand, rustig, parkeren voor de deur, airco in de kamer. De airconditioning staat gericht op het bed waardoor je tijdens het slapen continu in de koude luchtstroom bevindt. Als ‘airco-kenner’ weet ik dat dat een verkeerde locatie is en dat heb ik weer mogen ervaren. Ondanks dat de airco wel goed werkt wil je de koudere luchtstroom niet direct op jezelf hebben staan. Voor de rest was alles prima, mooie accommodatie en een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Restaurants, het strand en NP zijn op loopafstand. Scott is erg vriendelijk en heeft heel veel goede (restaurant)tips. Bij aankomst was het wat onduidelijk waar we konden parkeren. Uiteindelijk bleek de poort gewoon open te schuiven en konden we de auto daarachter parkeren.

• Christine (10/5): A tropical oasis in the middle of Uvita…. - This little oasis is absolutely beautiful and in a lovely part of Uvita. It is heaven from the second you come through the front gate. The cabinas are absolutely beautiful with the most gorgeous bathrooms very tastefully decorated. The bed was so comfy, I wish I could bring it home with me! There’s a fully stocked kitchen if you wish to cook (which we didn’t!!) Scott, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly and around if we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone . I loved it!! Nothing about the property. However - word of warning. Compared with Puerto Veijo, Uvita is quite spread out, with shops, restaurants etc not along a main strip so I’d recommend either renting a car or bikes to explore and get around easily. We had a car and it was worth every penny.
• Frank (10/5): Fantastic stay in Uvita - Scott was an exceptionally attentive host! It felt as if he was quietly working his magic in the background to make sure we had everything we needed to feel completely at home. The place itself gave us a wonderful taste of how delightful life in Costa Rica can be. We even had some “neighbors” stop by the garden—hummingbirds, colorful macaws, and a rather charming iguana who clearly thought he owned the place. A big heartfelt thank you to Scott for all his care and effort—he really made our stay unforgettable! Next time we won't come in rain season ;)

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt spontan verlängert. Die kleine Anlage ist gepflegt und schön, die Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet und im Außenbereich gibt es einen sauberen Pool, eine Outdoorküche in der es an nichts fehlt und einen Aufenthaltsbereich.

La habitación estaba impecable y muy cómoda. Scott fue un anfitrión amable y atento. Sin duda, un sitio para repetir y recomendar. Lo único “malo” fueron los mosquitos… que al parecer también querían disfrutar de Uvita tanto como nosotras. Pero nada que un buen repelente no solucione.
• Monika (8/5): Perfect spot to stay in Uvita! - Cozy spot in a great location! The owner, Scott, is very welcoming and makes sure you have everything you need. Rooms are just the right size for 1-2 people. Room can get a little wet if there is a big rainstorm, but that comes with traveling during the rainy season. Just ensure that you don't leave anything on the ground if you're going to be out all day in case of a storm!

Man konnte die Outdoorküche gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen nutzen und der Pool war als kleine Abkühlung perfekt! Ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt gab es ein angenehmes Restaurant, wo man ab 7,00 Uhr frühstücken konnte, wenn man wie wir keine Lust hatte, selbst welches zuzubereiten Sämtliche Wasserhähne (Küche, Bad, Dusche) sind überholungsbedürftig. Die Dusche ließ sich nicht richtig einstellen und war entweder heiß oder kalt.

We spent time hanging out in the pool and made some friends. The outdoor kitchen is very cool and has everything that you could need. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. It was so quiet at night that you could hear some of the local wildlife which was lovely. It is a short walk to the beach too. We loved everything and didn’t want to leave!

Perfectly located in Bahia close to the entrance to the national park, it's a beautiful property true to the pictures. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with everything you might need (The beds are particularly comfortable!). The common areas are also very well designed and a perfect place to relax at any point during the day. I would highly recommend to anyone stopping in Uvita, including solo-travelers. As a bonus, Scott is a wonderful and gracious host! He immediately made me feel welcome and provided several great recommendations for the trip. Wish I could have stayed longer, but will certainly be back on my next trip! Thank you again, Scott!

There are 3 cabinas that opens towards individual patio and 2 steps of an amazing pool. The owner, Scott, lives on the property and is very friendly. If you like human size accomodation, quiet friendly places, that will be the place for you.

Clean and lovely pool, right outside of our front door. As there are only a few cabinas, the location feels quiet and intimate. Not really a dislike, but it would have been nice to have the room cleaned stay least once during our 3 nights stay.

It is within walking distance from the beach (7 mins), restaurants (5 mins), tour companies, and a farmers market. However, if you do not like to walk, I could recommend having a car for this location. There is a parking available also. Scott was really helpful and accommodating. I would definitely book here again!
• Hans-joachim (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice accommodation with Scott the owner as a great host. The beach is nearby and also a good restaurant named Kimsu. If we come back to Uvita we will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed the super easy and very friendly contact the Scott (the host). We appreciated the long list of local restaurant recommendations and very useful tips from Scott about what to do around. We felt great in the open ranch type kitchen where we used to have coffee and meals. We could observe some wildlife from the hotel (macaws, bats, many birds). It was comfortable and very relaxing staying.

The pool is nice, bbq to use, kitchenette for everyone to use plus fridge and coffee in the room. Wish we stayed longer!

• Els (10/5): WONDERFUL - We crossed Costa Rica during abit more than 3 weeks and this was an absolute perfect stay in Uvita (we ended up staying a full week instead of 2 nights). Scott is such a gorgeous, funny, kind, relaxed person. The room: love love loved it (especially the bathroom!). The surroundings, the nice pool, the beautiful vegetation, outside kitchen, his lovely dogs, and of course his kindness and hospitality. Everything was just lovely, and my friend and I felt like coming home at his place, it was just so relaxed and nice!

• Tim (10/5): Wonderful Stay at Cabinas D’Val in Uvita! - We had a fantastic time staying at Cabinas D’Val! Scott was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. He organized a whale-watching tour for us for the next day and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. He even helped us with some laundry! The cabins were cozy and charming, and the pool was perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Uvita!
• Ruben (9/5): Superb - Relaxing location, close by the beach, and all facilities needed present, including a beautiful bbq area and garden with swimming pool where you can relax enjoy the surroundings. The owner is really friendly and helpful, and the rooms are beautiful with nice details.

Scott was really helpful with helping us organise a trip to Caño island and useful with other queries we had throughout the stay. Also I left some items at the place and Scott helped to organise to get them back to me! Thank you Scott! Not much!
• Lore (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay in the Cabinas. The outdoor kitchen was very big and had everything you needed to make yourself some breakfast or snacks. Scott was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore Uvita.

• Natalie (7/5): Nice outdoor kitchen but can be loud - - the outdoor kitchen is quite a highlight since it has everything you need - after a 10’ walk you are at the beach - no mosquito nets for the windows/bathroom - pretty noisy since the doors need to be really slammed in order to close them - we were lucky that the parking situation worked out but it felt like there is one parking spot missing if it’s really full

The property has everything you need for a nice stay and is super close to the beautiful Marino Ballena Nationalpark. On top, Scott is the perfect host! He was super attentive, had great recommendations and helped us with everything we needed and more! We would definitely come back :-)
