Very peaceful, with a great view from our room.
The patio area for eating or drinking was lovely too.we would stay again here. Nothing
- Gary (10/5): - Great location and rooms
- ROBERT (9/5): Great overnight stop - Location was lovely.đ
- Paula (9/5): - The welcome was warm with everything explained well. We asked for Decaf coffee and got a brand new container of Illy, which was perfect.
Dinner was delicious. The bed was a little firm, but this is personal choice.
The lighting was a little subdued and whilst we could have opened the curtains, there was nothing to stop people looking in.
- Parkinson (10/5): Beauiful place and surroundings - The room was The room was a good size room with beauiful views of the river and beyond. The food was top quality. The staff were very friendly and the location was perfect for our trip. Would definitely recommend. We will be visiting again.
- King (9/5): Wonderful experience, will stay again -

The coffee and tea in the room was lovely but there were no biscuits. available... Mo

- Denise (10/5): - Very clean comfortable bedrooms and very friendly staff
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Lovely location, comfortable well appointed room. Good Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff. I appreciated a direct phone call prior to arriving to advise me of Sunday business hours so as to ensure we booked our meal. We arrived in the middle of busy Sunday lunch and although you are encouraged to check in on line in advance the check in process involves joining the queue at the bar. The staff were very pleasant but it did feel a bit chaotic.
- Nick (8/5): Nice peaceful spot to stop and break journey to Cornwall - Lovely and peaceful with lovely views across the River Avon Some of the food was overcooked
- Karroo (9/5): Great value stop off on our way south. - Friendly staff, comfortable bed and nice room. Lovely food. Nothing really

- Pamela (8/5): Beautiful inn in very scenic location. Food could have been better although breakfast was good - Setting was lovely , overlooking the river . Rooms were well appointed with tasteful furnishings and nice touches like fresh coffee , fridge. Breakfast was very good - wide choice of food and drink all prepared to order . Food at lunch and dinner was a bit disappointing. Many of the items were unavailable due to no delivery on bank holiday which you would think should have been planned for.
And last orders at the bar quite early , 9.30pm , for residents âŚ
- Julie (10/5): - All of it was amazing Nothing
- Benedetta Manganaro (8/5): Stanza sul fiume - La posizione. L'alba sul fiume è stata straordinaria. E poi le piccole attenzioni: i biscotti all'arrivo, la selezione di the e caffè, i prodotti da bagno.
Infine l'atmosfera del pub e un'ottima cena. Semplice, sana, quasi casalinga. Davvero buona. La colazione. Essenziale, c'era tutto ma c'è ampio margine per migliorare, soprattutto considerando il resto del soggiorno.
- Karen (8/5): A lovely place for a short getaway - Lovely location on the river.Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room . Plenty of free parking. Lovely food served. Can walk to Tewkesbury along the river through the fields Room walls are a bit thin, you can hear people talking and moving around in the next room (and snoring!)
- Sarah (8/5): Really lovely find , wouldnât definitely revisit for food in the future. - Lovely grounds. A lovely homely feel to the place. Food was great , breakfast was amazing. Staff were polite, helpful and generally really lovely. Bed wasnât the comfiest.
- Tracey (10/5): Would recommend the Fleet Inn and I would definitely go back - The staff especially Emma and Adrianna were exceptionally helpful and friendly
Our room was cosy and comfortable with a most lovely view. Could watch the Canadian geese from our window.
Chef made us a faultless breakfast
Highly recommend the Fleet Inn âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ The position of the Inn really suited us located right on the Severn River
- Hannah (7/5): Good value for money - Good size room, beautiful location. Good food and wine selection The shower leaked and the room was very hot. Theyâd opened the windows but left the radiator on. Staff were a bit chaotic but friendly
- Amelia (7/5): Nice rooms for a good price. - Lovely rooms & nice location. Good breakfast too. Walls are quite thin and doors were very loud so you could hear other rooms coming and going.
- William John (7/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Beautiful location by the river. Nice views from our room. The room was clean, comfortable and warm.
Staff were very friendly and gave excellent service.
Good choice of food & drink. Would definitely stay again.

Iâd happily retur - Staff were extremely friendly; the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was made fresh it was a lovely stay, if Iâm ever in the area again I will definitely be back.

- Lynn and Bob (9/5): overnight stay halfway point for devon travels. - room nice with all you would expect just a short walk away from pub area rooms on there own area.
breakfast poor sourdough bread only with a overcooked poached egg on top
asked for toast with marmalade ( none available )
my husband had a bacon butty but again bacon overcooked very dry.
we were not big breafast eaters.
breakfast was included in price.
we needed extra milk for room no issue in getting this.
perfect location near the river but extremely buisy very difficult on a sunday afternoon to get parked.
as it was hot weather and lots of people around doing watersports and boating and sunbathing on the banks. TV in room very poor signal and would not work on normal tv channels.
a staff member came to look but they too found tv not working only you tube?
so when in room we had no choice but to watch repeat things as in peter kay all night.
that was a laugh anyway.
sunday afternoon food undercooked and very expensive for what you get?
not much choice in the way of normal pub food.
the pub closes at 6pm something we were unaware of when booking?
we probably would not have booked on a sunday as it was a half way point in our travels to devon.
this should be indicated in property advertisement for bookings.
we did get a curtesy call on the morning of leaving saying it closed at 6 but we thought
this was for food only. as the call was very quiet and short.
we did find a little pub up the road from here ( the village inn ) 5 minute walk.
they too found it very strange a pub closing at 6pm.
- Kay (10/5): Very comfortable and relaxing nights stay. - The view was fantastic of the river and across fields. Very peaceful. Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. You didnât have to go through the pub to unload cases as rooms are separate.
The staff were excellent.
Close for Gloucester and Tewkesbury. There was nothing to dislike.
- Graham (9/5): -
- JAIME (7/5): Some good points but other parts were not what we would have expected. - The staff were BRILLIANT - attentive, helpful and friendly. The room decor was tasteful and well-appointed - fresh coffee and milk, plus cookies was a welcome treat. The restaurant was inviting and decorated well. We both slept very well. Although nothing that was the fault of the pub, Google maps took us down a very bumpy and waterlogged track (we could see the Fleet Inn from the track) but we were on the wrong side of the river. We were not the first people to have tried to come this way. Maybe a sign at the entrance to the track saying the Fleet Inn was not accessible from the track would be helpful so others do not have the same tricky journey. Additionally we changed rooms as the next door family room was very noisy .
Also, the hairdryer in the room was not working for longer than 10 seconds so I went out with damp hair. We had pre-booked a table in the restaurant but many of the dishes were not available so we went elsewhere - not ideal as we had been looking forward to not having to go out in the cold. Staff did give us suggestions of other places to eat which was helpful. The curtains cover the radiator which is not ideal as the room was colder than we would have liked. There was an additional heater but this took a while to heat up the room. We resorted to folding the curtains on the windowsill to let the radiator heat the room. Dust on the lampshades and in the radiator was noticed early on.
Breakfast was good, though the order was taken wrongly.
All in all, not the best of trips, but on the plus side, we slept well!

- Diane (10/5): Lovely overnight stay in great location. - Great value for money - our room in the annnexe was overlooking the river with lovely views. Our room had a fridge with milk and water in it and there were fresh cookies in a jar. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were lovely and the manager (James??) was very welcoming and friendly. Close enough to the M5 to make it a good stopping off point on a long journey, but no traffic noise at all - it was very peaceful.
- Gary (9/5): Comfortable room and excellent value for money. - Excellent location overlooking the River Avon. Warm and comfortable room. Little really.
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely location, lovely staff, lovely food. No downsideđ
- Duval (10/5): A good stay - Breakfast was good but I prefer to have a buffet type, I understand that this Pub has only three rooms so
not possible realy. The evening meal was good and the Pub was packed which is a good thing in the climate
at the moment. The fact that the Pub shut at 6.00pm on the Sunday night that we stayed although it did say on their information
I like and early evening Beer and they said honestly there is a Pub up the road but had our meal and went to the room.
- PATRICIA (8/5): Will be back! - Very well located close to M5 but quiet
Decent car park
Spacious room
Good food
Decent prices Shower âŚâŚ looked promising but extremely difficult to get water to an average temperatureâŚ..knob didnât respond
- Alfie (8/5): Lovely except the food was poor quality - Location, proactive staff The food
- Nadine (10/5): A delightful stop off! - A regular halfway stop on our travels, perfect as itâs lovely and close to the M5. Stylish, dog-friendly rooms and we can take the dog for a walk along the river from there. Breakfast included today, and it was excellent. Nothing to report - they donât do food on a Sunday but warned us so we were prepared.
- Nick (9/5): - Great place to stay , lovely people and excellent food
- Steve (5/5): Great food and staff, let down by the accommodation - The pub was great, food and staff could not be faulted.
The accommodation however, is very tired and in need of a deep clean.
When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he appeared shocked and offered a full refund.
Also, be aware that after 6pm on a Sunday and 9.30pm on a Monday, there is NOWHERE to sit other than outside or your room.
My feeling is, donât take bookings if you cannot offer a full service. See above.
Didnât like to share the photos of the accommodation.

- robert (10/5): Excellent location for a special occasion - We had the most excellent stay at The Fleet, from our arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the Sunday lunch was great quality and well presented. Breakfast was lovely and generous, as was dinner and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Comfy bed.
We will be back! Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): Weâll be back! - Lovely staff, fantastic location - convenient for motorways but quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was really tasty and generous and dinner was great too.
Homely rooms, comfortable beds. A great stay. Nothing
- Dudman (10/5): - Everything,food, room, staff,view, couldn't fault it, highly recommend. Nothing.
- ROBERT (8/5): Honest review - Very nice location and room, looking over the River Avon. Evening food was reasonable and well cooked. Extra's which should come with the main meal all
cost a lot extra tbh. Not good value at all.
The cooked breakfast was decidedly average and no extra toast, fruit, cereal offered as is normal with most B&B deals.
Butcombe beer is always excellent. I noticed the prices of a bottle of wine were ridiculous, we did not buy.
- david (9/5): The hotel is perfect for a relaxing break on the banks of the river - The setting is amazing and the rooms are extremely co Nothing
- Tracey (10/5): Wonderful Inn - Staff were fantastic. Check in, check out super easy. Breakfast amazing! Stunning views from the room and dining area. Pub nice and handy. Nothing

- Michelle (7/5): Location fantastic but need to work on staff - Beautiful property and setting
Food good if a bit pricey
Restaurant staff great
Dog friendly Room had nowhere to store clothes and toiletries despite being a spacious room
TV didnât work, staff told me to turn it on and off but remote still didnât work
Breakfast staff was not great and cleaner hoovered around our table so it wasnât a nice relaxing breakfast
- Phil Flat4 (8/5): - Staff are very helpful and welcoming, room was large and had a view over the river. Shower was a walk in with drench head. Tea, coffee and biscuits. Bed was nice and firm, we booked a table on the upper heated patio outside for.dinnner very pleasant. Breakfast was a bit tight, just one egg, sausage, 2 bacon, and one mushroom?? Wife asked for a bacon and sausage bap with an extra bread roll, no egg etc they charged an extra ÂŁ7?
Wifi was a bit hit and miss.
The accommodation corridor needs a bit of redecorating.
- Brenda (8/5): -
- Emma (8/5): Peaceful - Lovely views from room as well as lovely pub terrace and gardens. Bathroom nice with toiletries and room had tea/coffee/biscuits and little fridge. Nice walk from the pub to Tewkesbury. Although the breakfast was tasty it was rather sparse. I just felt it wasnât value for money. No fruit juices or cereals. Expected to pay extra if you want a full English.
- Gary (10/5): - Good food and peaceful location Nothing really

Amazing breakfast and coffee
- Christine (8/5): - Location was beautiful. Breakfast was very good. It would have been nice to have a wardrobe in the room instead of just a metal shelf and one hanger
