La habitación a pesar de que se veía muy limpia había un olor muy particular, igual que en la recepción la cual es muy pequeña para sus empleados, por lo demás todo bien.

Il y a même des planches de surf. Disposition Les logements m'ont pas vue sur mer sauf un , Celui du descriptif booking. J'ai payé en conséquence pour cela et je suis déçue.. un patio avec une table et deux chaises, repaire de chats en quête de litière L'appellation hôtel pour ce type d'hébergement ne convient pas du tout. C'est un logement chez l'habitant ce qui est différent. Équipement cuisine , pas de bouilloire, vieillot. Pour un prix inférieur j'aurais dit bien.

• Ross (9/5): Worth a few days for a beach stay - Direct beach access with local facilities close, this small upper storey appartment was basic but pleasant to stay in for 3 nights. This village was quiet and the neighbourhood safe. The snall plunge pool and garden was refreshing to use when not on the beach or on the provided loungers underneath the palm trees fringing the beach. Have already recommended this appartment to 30+ yrs family members going to Costa Rica. Nothing stands out, generally acceptable re basics and price

• Elena Sofia (8/5): Posizione super - Appartamento vista mare e letteralmente a due passi dalla spiaggia paradisiaca. Esterillos è un villaggio tranquillo e dalle vibes pazzesche. L'appartamento è pulito e perfetto per un soggiorno rilassante! Staff disponibile. Avrei apprezzato una cucina un po' più fornita, con qualche utensile in più e sale/zucchero da poter usare.

• Tina (10/5): - Emilio and Jasmine are wonderful hosts that serve an awesome breakfast and are very helpful in any way needed. The building is old, so sometime the electric or water may temporarily take a short vacation. But the rooms and property are immaculately clean.

• Arnold (10/5): Gastvrij verblijf in een rustige oase. - De ligging direct aan het strand, de uitstekende service van Emilio en zijn vrouw (o.a. smakelijke diverse ontbijten), de ara's op oogafstand, de wandelmogelijkheden in beide richtingen langs het strand, de poeltjes in zee bij eb, de mogelijkheden om te body boarden, zwemmen en surfen. Bushalte dichtbij (alleen bij aankomst ging de bus de hoofdweg niet af, dus moest er 1.5 km gelopen worden met koffers). Restaurants op loopafstand. Er kwam in het begin een zwavelgeur uit de douchekraan en aan één kant van het bed was een beetje een kuil.
• Margaret (9/5): Seconds away from the sands of the beach! - The location cannot be beat. The ocean is within 20 large steps of the staircase. We spent Christmas Eve, Day, and the next morning boogie boarding on the waves with good rental boards from Brett's Boards just behind the property. It's a family owned apartment and they were all very accommodating to us the entire time of our stay. The pool was always clean. The showers near it were useful for rinsing off sand off out bodies after boogie boarding. The apartment has been set up to accommodate up to four sleeping adults, but I really would have preferred the kitchen area having a table with seats rather than a sofa futon. The cabinet doors also need to be tightened down, but those are small issues when considering how much fun we had playing on the beach.

Apartment kitchen lights did not work upon arrival but owner Emilio was quick to repair this. Nice balcony overlooking the water. The lock on the sliding door was difficult to use. The single pull out bed was not the most comfortable.

La ubicación frente al mar esta muy bien, desde la piscina se pueden ver las olas y eso es fascinante! La atención del personal fue muy atenta. Cerca hay restaurantes pequeños para comer y hasta pedimos express. El lugar esta bien aunque es un poco viejo, nuestra habitación contaba con un sofá cama pero el colchón no era muy confortable y la ducha tenía muy mal olor, porque parece que tiene una tubería vieja.

• Douglas (9/5): Great value in an excellent location on the beach. - Great location - steps from the beach. The hotel provides lounge chairs to sit under the palm trees. It was fun to watch the surfers in front of us. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly and quick to attend to any of your needs. It is also. Short walk to good restaurants like Los Almendros. Not all rooms have deck. It is time to replace the bed in room #3.

• Ivo (8/5): Great place for a stopover en route back to San José. Quiet, well located, surfer-friendly. - Excellent location on the beach, right in front of the main surf spot at Esterillos Oeste. Spacious suite, with nice kitchen area and living room. Relaxed vibe, clean, good value. Would definitely stay here again. I arrived after dark and had a little bit of difficulty finding the place, despite using Google Maps. There could have been better signage. Check in was OK, but a little curt. It wouldn't hurt to be met with a smile! In the room, everything was adequate, but perhaps it's time for the property to invest in better mattresses.

The reason why we have given it a 1 star is that the owner took the money via Booking.com when we were supposed to pay in Colon. Very bad dont think they arre allowed to do this but couildnt be bothered to chase with Booking.Com

• Stephan (8/5): Wonderful beach with aras showing up daily - The location was wonderful. There was a very clean pool. And the beach was directly in front of their location, direct access. You could cary sun beds into the sand and relax the whole day there. Plenty of shadow available. There was a big tree where we could see red aras landing multiple times a day, eating for an hour. We were looking at them all the time so close. Incredible. The AC was working fine. The staff was very friendly. The room was a bit stuffed and not so charming. Basic, but working. There was no balcony with our room. Not that bad as we stayed at the beach all the time.
• Carolina (4/5): Not recommended - Location on beach front of esterillos Facility of the hotel is very very old. It really needs some renovation. Staff just did they job but really not a inch more than that. For guests not sun beds and nothing was made available to enjoy the stay on the beach or around the pool, however on saturday we saw the staff cleaning everything and preparing nice beds and umbrellas on the beach which they put to rent. So nothing for the hotel guests, but to make extra money they are active... no option for breakfast available and around hotel there is really not much.. we really didn't enjoy our stay here, we don't recommend.

• Evelyne (6/5): Exceptional location, ok accommodations. - The staff was kind and took good care of us. The location is exceptional, with the beautiful backyard with direct access to the beach! The little town really gives a local vibe, not filled with tourists. In addition, La Dolce Vita is at walking distance from restaurants and services. The room was small for a family of 4 and very basic.

Nada, happy with everything. I came in January and wished the waves were a little bigger but they were fun!
• Nat (9/5): Simple and beautiful beach hotel - This hotel has a super relaxed surf and beach club vibe. The beach off the back is huge, clean, great for surf but also swimming if you like jumping in waves. The space had a well equipped kitchen, warm shower and effective a/c. Small pool is great for a cooling dip. The breakfast was lovely and they listened to the fact we are vegetarian and vegan. The staff were incredibly helpful with our questions- they told us how we could get the public bus from Manuel Antonio and booked an affordable taxi for our onward travel. The town is pretty quiet but has a lot of life in the bars and restaurants! Super walkable to groceries. The room was a little rough around the edges, our door was a bit janky and its very dated furniture. Perhaps the space would be a bit small for a long stay but we were comfortable for a couple of nights. I think they should have a few surf boards or body boards to rent!! We’d have taken one out for a turn.

I think it is important to indicate the breakfast menu, since we expected something more complete for the price we paid. It was well prepared and tasted good but seemed more like a snack than breakfast.

• Yamilee (9/5): Superb - My stay was excellent the studio was very peaceful near the beach with bright natural sunlight and was very bright and well-equipped. I had a very good time staying there.  As far as transportation my driver Alex was sent by hotel services to pick us up at the airports.  He was very professional, and he went out of his way to make one feel at ease. Even though the journey between the airport and the hotel was long, he made sure his passengers did not get bored, which was very important. I recommend the hotel for a nice stay because of the staff's professionalism and the hotel shuttle driver. My driver Alex Rock is the best. If you choose this hotel you will not regret it. nothing

The hotel is just a few steps away from Esterillos Beach, so it's a good spot for surfers. Pool and room are often cleaned and there's a dedicated parking space.

• Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Right on the beach. A very quiet beach with occasional surfers and a few locals. Macaws ate from the tropical almond trees right over our head. Pelicans flew past every evening and we were able to observe other birds as well. The sounds of the ocean sing you to sleep. I couldn't stay longer.

Beach is calm and the sea is not deep - it should be good for families with children. For us it was nice place for last day near the sea. In Esterillos we saw more than 30 parrots Ara :D ... We can recommend this place!
