• Vincent (1/5): Busted aircon in room number 2. The aircon is facing the wall away from the bed so how can the coolness reach the bed - Near food market No aircon. I moved out in the middle of the night coz the care taker John told me MAS MAGANDA LUMIPAT NALANG KAYO (IT IS BETTER IF YOU MOVE OUT) Then when confronted by the owner he declined saying that when we all heard him say that to us

• Wens (6/5): - I was expecting more for the price I paid! No fridge in room. Owner did mention they are going to put in fridges. I could store food in owners fridge. They have an area upstairs which would make a great communal kitchen. Currently staying in Bantayan Island for half the price I paid here, with a full kitchen for guests. I was lucky I got a room at the back or I would not have slept with the street and rooster noise. Staff were helpful and friendly and my room was fully serviced after 3 nights. lots of power outages! but not the accomadations fault. no generator.
• Shayo (7/5): Wholesome stay, lacking amenities. - Nice staff, nice room. Everything is so close on the island the location doesn't matter much. Cold water refill available. The shower water pressure was very low, had to stick my head in the sink to wash my hair properly. The power went out from 8-10, it's like this in most of the island so can't blame the Inn, but the heat made the room unbearable to stay in. No way to control ac temperature. Bathroom is small and shower floods the whole room including the toilet.

Les chambres sont propres et confortable Pour avoir essayer les deux chambres de 2 côtés différents, la chambre la plus grande etait plus calme avec moins de bruit. La puissance du jet d'eau est tres faible dans la douche en tout cas dans la chambre la plus grande. Ce qui rend le lavage des cheveux long presque impossible.

• Laura (8/5): - - Personal war extrem freundlich und hat mich auch ausserhalb des Hotels immer wieder gegrüsst. Wir hatten auch immer wieder Gespräche und ich habe dadurch persönliche Einblicke in das Leben auf Malapascua erhalten. - Centrale Lage in der Nähe des Food Markets, ATM, Supermarket. Alles konnte innerhalb von ein paar Minuten erreicht werden - Zimmer ist Basic, enthält aber alles wichtiges, incl. warmes Wasser - Aircon war sehr modern und leise Es war sehr laut da nebenan eine Karaoke-Bar ist und die Strassen auch nachts von Motor-Bikes stark befahren ist. Es ist gut Earplugs mitzunehmen.

• Viveca (8/5): - Sweet and helpful hosts and cute place. Restaurants nearby, easy to walk everywhere. Far enough from the center to not be too noicy. The AC was loud enough to cover the roosters crow, which helped us sleep well during night time, especially in the morning. AC didn't blow directly at us which was really nice. On Malapascua there are both scheduled and unexpected blackouts now and then, just good to know :)

There is a lovely rooftop terrace as well as kitchen you can use for cooking basics. Staff is very kind and Mark and Chona very accommodating. Chona helped me with organizing my transport from Cebu City and has been very helpful in sharing valuable information on Malapascua and other islands for my next destination.

Lovely authentic lo - The sincere and kind service, amazing location, and great value! Works for solo travelers as well as couples, friends etc. Great breakfast option at Guana’s 30 steps away! Wifi was okay, but not great😊

• MyriamT (10/5): - Very friendly family. Hotel is strategically located near the night market and other restaurants. Room is spacious and comes with a hot shower. Every 3 days they change towels and linnen. There may be some nearby noise eg karaoke during the weekend till 10:30pm or noise from motorbikes early morning but that is not the hotel's fault.

• Ana (9/5): Buen sitio - Localizacion perfecta al lado del mercado y cerca de muchas escuelas de buceo. La host fue un amor con nosotras. Aire acondicionado y agua caliente. El baño olía un poco mal pero eran las tuberías.
• Jasmin (8/5): - Das Zimmer war in Ordnung und die heiße Dusche hat, wie auch die Klimaanlage, gut funktioniert. Neben ein bisschen Ablagefläche, hatte man auch einen kleinen Schreibtisch mit Plastikstuhl und einen Wasserkocher zur Verfügung. Die Familie, die sich dort um die Zimmer kümmert, war freundlich. Die Lage ist gut, da die Insel klein ist und man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten überall sein kann. Kostenloses Trinkwasser wurde auch zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank für kalte Getränke würde das Zimmer noch aufwerten. Auch, wenn es regelmäßiger gereinigt und der Müll entleert werden würde. Wir wurden nach 5 Tagen (ein Tag vor dem Check-out) gefragt, ob das Zimmer gereinigt werden soll. Durch die sandigen Böden draußen bringt man aber, auch wenn man vorsichtig ist, immer wieder Sand ins Zimmer. In erster Linie kommt man ja wahrscheinlich zum Tauchen auf die Insel - man hat also täglich nasse Badekleidung und Handtücher und hier fehlt eine Möglichkeit alles in der Sonne für den nächsten Tag trocknen zu lassen. Das Zimmer hat zwar ein Fenster, aber ist trotzdem sehr dunkel.

• MINERVA (10/5): Habitación ideal - Habitación amplia y limpia con agua caliente, aire acondicionado y ventilador ¡Super necesario en Malapascua! Cama muy cómoda. La ubicación es excelente, cerca del puerto, de la playa y del mercado/plaza principal, además no es ruidosa. El manager y el dueño se portaron muy bien con nosotros, ayundándonos en todo lo necesario debido a un imprevisto con el que nosotros contábamos. Sin lugar a dudas, volveríamos a hospedarnos ahí.

When you first arrive they give you tips on where to eat, places to see and best way to get to those places. They are extremely friendly and welcoming and will help you as much as you can. Can’t rate highly enough how great my stay was. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

• Alma Luise (9/5): toller Aufenthalt! - Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geräumig. Besonders die Gastfreundlichkeit hat uns gefallen. Wir haben eine Schnorcheltour über die Unterkunft gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden. Außerdem haben sie uns bei unserer Abreise, den Tipp gegeben früher abzureisen, weil ein Sturm aufziehen sollte. Die Lage direkt beim Markt war auch top! Das einzige was uns gestört hat, war die sehr laute Klimaanlage, die uns das Schlafen etwas erschwert hat. Mit Oropax aber machbar.

• Salome (6/5): - They provided drinking water in the room in a way that discouraged the use of plastic, which I really appreciated. There was also a kettle with coffee available. The bed was comfortable, and the cleanliness was excellent. The location is fantastic too—just a short walk from the local market where you can find food, barbecue, and drinks. There were a few cockroaches in the bathroom, which was disappointing. The property is about 500 meters from the beach, and for similar amenities(maybe no aircon), you can find similar places right by the beach that are quieter. There’s quite a bit of vehicle movement late into the night, and the noise from the roosters can be an issue for light sleepers.

• Jan (10/5): I came for 5 days, stayed 3 weeks :) - -Chona is the most wonderful host -Saidi and other workers are extremely friendly -You always get cleaning, fresh sheets and towels, if you ask for it -there's a kitchen and you can store food in chona's fridge -the rooms 9, 10, 11 are very quiet -Wifi (10/10 Mbit) speed and reliability was fine during my stay -good location, restaurants and stores are nearby, the beach is too. -Chona (the co-owner) treats her employees very well, which is not a given -There was a table and little chair so I could work on my laptop I absolutely loved my stay and was very sad to leave. I came for 5 days, stayed 3 weeks :)

There was a constant bad smell from the bathroom. The proximity to the bike road made it a bit noisy at night. Not the cleanest place we have slept in.

The bed was comfy and it was really quiet to sleep. There is a roof terrace area that was nice to sit. And the staff were fantastic - so welcoming and helpful. The helped me to organise a snorkeling trip with a great boat and for a great price. The location is great, only a tiny bit further than the market A tiny thing, but it would be good to have somewhere to put wet swimwear to dry, but that's a tiny thing

• Brandon (6/5): Pleasant - Mostly didn't love the scooter noise starting at 0430 and continuing through the morning. Most islands have little quiet Honda Click 50s but the Waves with pipes seem to be de rigeur here so expect stupid exhaust noise early in the morning to provide an unwelcome wake-up call. Otherwise the room was clean and pleasant and the staff were lovely and welcoming.

• Roxanne (9/5): Best location and best staff - The staff at this place are the best and absolutely go out of their way to accommodate you and make your stay great! Saide is super friendly and responsive by text and the rest of the staff are also kind. I stayed in the air-conditioned private room in the back and it was very comfortable with a large bathroom. It was pretty well removed from the street noise from the motorbikes - I did wear earplugs though. The air conditioning is super powerful and the queen room was very big. They provide free water, coffee, and tea. The location was great, right next to the big marketplace with all the outdoor restaurants and only about a 6 minute walk to the pier. The wifi doesn't work well but that is pretty common on the island and I was okay disconnecting for a few days and using a sim card to help make bookings. Would also be great if they had more areas for hanging laundry outside.

• Karen (8/5): Central location but with that drawbacks - Central location near the food market, 5 mins walk to the pier and 5 mins to the beach. Nice modern rooms with hot showers. Staff and owner were very friendly. Free tea and coffee. Some of the private rooms are on the main lane and I found it very noisy with all the motorbikes racing about 24/7 and horns beeping. Also, only one of the windows had curtains so it was very light early mornings.

Despite its central location it was fairly quiet. A lot of smoke was coming into the room through the bathroom and air conditioner.

Very nice hosts - here and there some glitches, but all was taken care with a smile. The room was a bit bare. Very basic. But for the cost, is felt that it was ok. • Tiffanyr (8/5): Nosy owner - big space inside the room, big table used as workstation, free drinking water. Walking distance from the port and nearest beach. Cockroach. AC not cold enough even at highest level. Frequent brownouts. 1 bar of soap provided as toiletry. Owner was NOSY for my personal affairs. I brought work so i had to use my laptop inside the room but she was nosy to find out why i dont like to mingle. It would be better she wouldnt mind visitor's affairs. So so OFF. Smh
• Kariana (10/5): Great host in a great place - Great location. Shona the owner went out of her way to help us secure a dive trip for the thresher sharks as we had such difficulty finding a company. She also gave great recommendations for restaurants. Beds were comfy and we really enjoyed the roof top. Many thanks Nothing. It’s an island therefore they have power cuts so that is just how it is a/c or no a/c room no power = no electricity. Embrace it
