Guest Reviews
- Sandor (8/5): Will return. - The building and facilities were as expected, the isolated location and natural surroundings were exceptional.
You were able to do as little or as lot as you pleased (weather permitting). There was no local maps of walking trails or any info regarding the area.
No ability to communicate any issues or problems or contact anyone in case of emergency.
- Erica (10/5): -
- Laurie (8/5): By this stage my husband was so stressed we left a day early. Disappointing end to our trip. - Info re accessibility was very poor. We took a wrong turn and got lost. On homeward journey the tourist info at Dungog provided a photo of the end of Salisbury Rd showing the three road intersection. We should have gone straight ahead but took the left road. Sign for Widerness cabins very poor. Info re pin number came too late. We were given two pin numbers, the first one four digits, the second one 3 digits. We were not told clearly enough to use the lock box on the front deck, not the one at the back door.
- Mae (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (8/5): Very good - Awesome location. The old Barrington Guest house site.
- Athena (10/5): A slice of paradise - The Cabin is absolutely beautiful, well spaced, and everything you need for a cute stay, the wildlife are used to people, so excited to come back and will be recommending it to everyone.
Even in the middle of summer and a humidity of 80%, we could stay cool and comfortable.
It was amazing going off the grid and just enjoying eachothers company.
Our first day after returning from town for a lunch date at the Tinshed, we were greeted by a huge flock of King Parrots who ate nuts straight out of our hands and sat in our laps. Cannot fault a thing
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (8/5): Pretty good - Great location Leaf blowing noise half the day
- Piotr (10/5): Best christmas in the last 100 years - Location, clean and facility Nothing, all good
- Doreen (8/5): A comfortable accommodation in a special location! - Location Nothing!
- At (9/5): Two nights in the national park - Great location. Unit extremely well equipped. The tiny sink in the bathroom.
No scraper for dishes & pots and pans.
- Sumeet (10/5): Exceptional - safety, well equipped couldve had more maps of the national park
- Emma (9/5): The Johnsons Blue Mountain Getaway - The location was fantastic, great atmosphere and value for money. The outside stairs.
- Stojisavljevic (7/5): Good -
- Merrin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (9/5): Amazing experience of wild life and nature! - Proximity to national park. Lovely and clean. Well maintained and everything we needed. No extra parking space for second car. The old Barrington house site which the cottage overlooks is a bit of an eyesore, but nothing the lodge can do about it I guess.
- Steven (9/5): Very happy, lovely location -
