Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): Wow. As soon as we drove up driveway, the house and gardens were impressive. Inside the house was clean and very beautif - Everything was perfect. Nothing

- jasmeet (10/5): Absolutely stunning location, clean and comfortable property. - The house is in a stunning Location. We saw kangaroos bunnies and gorgeous birds.. There was everything we needed from crockery to cooking pota, an iron, washing machine etc etc. The kids loved the bunk beds. We wish we could have stayed longer. The decor in the property is a bit dated with fake flowers all over but that is a small issue.
We also had to take out the overflowing and very smelly bins of the previous residents even though we had just arrived , exhausted after a 12 hour road trip
- Teresa (5/5): Great location in Hahndorf - Convenient location, close to the main street of Hahndorf. Beautiful surrounds and garden. The property and gardens are beautiful, unfortunately the house itself is dilapidated. There is no central heating and while each of the bedrooms had a small oil heater each, two of them were broken (one knob was broken and the other had a broken wheel). There are fireplaces, which were nice, but there was barely enough fire wood to heat the main living area for more than two hours on the first night. We needed to purchase wood and kindling ourselves. The beds weren't all that comfortable. The ceiling fan over the smaller table looks like it's on its last legs, hanging in by a thread. The chest of draws in the bunk bed room did not stay closed. The curtains in the bedrooms were coming off the rails and were so thin and worn with no backing that they barely kept any light out. Minimal kitchen supplies were provided.
Only one towel was provided per guest which is fine, but there is no dryer on the property, so we had no choice but to reuse the same damp towels over 3 days. Overall, the stay was average.
- Dominic (10/5): Very comfortable stay apart from the ensuite sink and lack of communication. - Was none supplied Communication when you needed to get in touch with the hosts. Had a problem on the first morning with the ensuite sink. Tried contacting on 2 occasions but no response. Ensuite sink was rendered useless for the rest of our stay.

- Scotty (10/5): Quiet, convenient location and a very beautiful home to stay in - Outstanding! Do yourself a favour and stay here. We were greeted by a female kangaroo and her joey at the front door. The location is just out of Hahndorf but you would think you are the only people on the planet. There is plenty of hot water, 3 showers and toilets and 2 woodfires that warmed the house beautifully. The master bed was warm and comfortable. Massive modern kitchen fully stocked but to be honest we ate at the restaurants in Hahndorf and were not disappointed. Nothing. I cannot wait to return and stay here again
- Panuccio (8/5): - Great area. Roomy. Beds were not comfortable
- Parminder (10/5): -
- Shannon (9/5): Will definitely be back - The property is absolutely beautiful, and the fireplace is awesome.
The house is spacious and modern but has antique touches.
Peaceful surroundings, we could stay there forever and I can't wait to return.
So close to the main street, everything you need is close by.
- Myriam (7/5): Would have been a more pleasant stay with a bit of consideration and care for the guests' comfort. - Pretty location with nice country views. Quiet. It was freezing cold - Adelaide Hills cold - and there was no firewood available on arrival. We had to search for the woodshed in in the dark and wet and cold. There is no other form of heating. The bed linen and towels were not good quality, and the quilts were very thin. Not warm enough. Also the pillows were poor quality. There was no complimentary tea and coffee sachets as you would expect in a holiday rental.
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Rachelle (8/5): Lovely home on a lovely property in a beautiful location. Would stay again. - The home was beautiful, the decor was beautiful and it was a large home that could sleep my family comfortably. Would have been lovely for some milk or coffee pods after a long drive from Victoria, but other than that it was a beautiful home. The beds were comfy but the pillows were like sacks of fluff and could do with replacing.
- Wilson (7/5): Very relaxed and spacious for 3 couples. - No breakfast provided.
The location is peaceful. Mosquitoes were a problem.
- Keith (8/5): Very good - The house is very spacious, clean and well furnished. Located in a peaceful location.
Would benefit from better quality pillows and more of them. Also there were no teatowels available and not enough dinner plates for a large party.
- Jenny (1/5): Very unpleasant with having toilet issues - Nice house good location We had no toilet facilities no water filling cistern wasn’t fixed in the four days we were there six people in the house we had to bucket water in to the toilet disgusting
- Charlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelli (9/5): Superb -
- Kelvin (7/5): Great location with a nice big home to enjoy. - Quiet location was great on weekend.
Big house with lots of space for 5 family members.
House temperature was nice in hot weather inside Key access information and poor external lighting was frustrating on arrival.
Intermittent electrical issues with lighting was a concern.
- Saeed (7/5): Ok stay not perfect - Farm stay was a nice experience. Great location and very close to Hahndorf. 25 mins drive to Adelaide CBD. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, but the fridge was broken. Nice shower facilities and washing machine. Fridge was broken and neither the fridge nor the freezer was working. We had to use our own Esky throughout our few days stay, it was so inconvenient.
The tap water was from a tank water or similar, definitely not a purified water and you could easily see the brown color of the water and bad smell of it. We had to buy mineral water in so many bulks for our needs even when brushing teeth. This must have been noted in the house description.
The house and mostly outdoor facilities could have been cleaned much better, it was obvious that they were not professionally cleaned.
- Premdeep (7/5): Good -
- Yhsk (7/5): Overall great place but room for improvement - Able to be close to nature with rabbits, ducks etc roaming freely in the vineyard and nearby water pond. The washing machine soap inlet was moundly and the drum is smelly
- Chrissy (7/5): Good -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Daina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kathleen (10/5): Loved staying here. Everyone was happy with this accommodation. Wish we could have stayed longer - Beautiful house very well set up. Great place to stay. Has everything you need. Was very clean. The owners were very helpful. Would highly recommend the stay. Not much phone service. Need wifi
- Kerry (9/5): Weekend with friends - Property was clean and spacious. Great place for a group of friends to catch up. Especially well placed for a wedding in the hills No check in instructions made it difficult to get inside. Multiple phone calls and messages finally got a response. Not good on a cold, wet night in the Adelaide Hills.
- Julie (7/5): Well equipped, comfortable, very clean but cold in winter - Good facilities, spacious and comfortable No wood/kindling or fire starters when we arrived in the dark. Two wood burners needed constant attention to keep living area comfortably warm. Small electric heaters ok for bedroom. For future guest - a path to wood shed would be better, one woman dragging three baskets full of wood to heat house for the day was horrible !
