- Sarah (8/5): - Friendly and welcoming staff. The check in process was efficient. Plenty of parking outside the venue. There is a code to get in the accommodation side which makes it feel safer. The rooms were very clean with fresh towels and toiletries on the bed . Comfy beds , very good value for money .

All areas are very clean.Bed and pillows really comfortable.All the staff....and the locals very welcoming and very friendly. Parking permit easy to use. Had breakfast and a few evening meals, would recommend.

- Paul (10/5): - I booked the Wyken Inn as was dropping my daughter to Warwick Uni & didn’t fancy the long drive home the same day so going on the basic look of outside, just expected a ‘rough & ready’ room but I was so so impressed. Don’t be put off by the look of the outside, I had a standard double room & shower room which was double glazed, had heating I could control & the room, bed & shower room could not have been cleaner even if I’d cleaned it myself. I was so impressed & will be booking again when I go to visit my daughter. The manageress & staff could not have been nicer . The only negative thing, which didn’t matter to me, was it lacked ‘curb appeal’ but, having not long taken over, I’m sure that can be improved. Best of luck with your new venture.
- Dawn (8/5): - Pros: Very comfortable bed and comforter with extra pillows. Simple small room with nightstands, small desk, open closet and basic bathroom. Clean. Nice towels, bath gel. (not shampoo/conditioner). Bar simple with fair prices. A good value if you don't prefer frills. Cons: No elevator, only stairs, no accessible rooms provided. Two rooms on the first floor not accessible: narrow doors, low toilet, small bathroom. Small shower with very narrow opening <20", if you are a larger person, difficult to get in. No shelf in bathroom or shower for toiletries. Room does not have coffee/tea maker frig or microwave (appropriate for price). Instant coffee/tea available in bar, no real coffee available. During management transition, food unavailable in evenings, so no feedback. Breakfast good, (more expensive under new management). Recommend hotel not allow pets in future, room smelled of dog on arrival. Summary, excellent price for simple, no frill accommodation in Wyken which very much needed a local hotel alternative. Great location with walkability to local stores and pub. Uber accessible in minutes, bus stop close. Would recommend and visit again.
- David (6/5): You pays your money and takes your choice - Good stuff first: staff very friendly and helpful, fussed over me at breakfast; the breakfast is really good value, well cooked and the bathrooms have been recently refurbished, so bright and clean (could do with a few hooks to hang things on though). Now the not-so-good. You are yards from a dual carriageway, so don't open the windows unless you like noise, the car park is laid out for minis, so people with SUV's and 4x4's stand out as antisocial, I literally couldn't open my door in the first space I tried, you enter the hotel via the service entrance, so along with the laundry and rubbish, rooms 1 & 2 face the car park, so have a bright white light on all night which the blinds do not block out (should really have light proof curtains) the room was very dingy and unfortunately smelt .... badly; it should have a professional deoderising deep clean. In essence, it has all the basics, but leaves a lot to be desired.

- Wilfred (10/5): - As a Coventry born visitor...I knew the history of the Wyken Inn...and I like it.The only thing I would recommend is more hooks for hanging 'things'..in the toilet shower room and possibly a drawer unit for clothes in the rooms...otherwise... Excellent.

- Shanie (10/5): You want to stay even just for the pillows! - Great service from check in, around the bar and check out. Room was perfectly clean, clean bathroom with powerful shower. Extremely comfy bed and amazing pillows! There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but free tea and coffee in the bar for members and it actually got you out of bed and up so this wasn’t an issue! Close enough to the arena to drive or taxi there, was around 5 miles, and the taxi cost £8. Amazing host, already pre booked another stay.

- Graham (6/5): - The hotel is in a great location for visiting Coventry, buses to the city stop nearby and are frequent. Parking is good and covered by CCTV. Rooms have been recently refurbished and are nice - but ours was noisy due to adjacent stairs and squeaky swing door. Room 3, avoid it.

The staff varied in friendliness (the bar staff were lovely) we had been warned about the lack of air conditioning but it was very stuffy as the room was quite small. The last night there, there was an incident in the neighbouring room (obviously not the hotel’s fault) but it made for an unpleasant night

- John (8/5): Bed - My wife and I stayed in room 8 which had a double bed which was alright apart from the fact that one side of the bed was against the wall, which made it difficult for the person on that side of the bed to get in and out of the bed

Felt comfortable and safe during my stay. Hearing doors slamming very loudly at very early hours in the corridor was the only downside, I understand that this is unavoidable in most hotels. Absolutely fabulous facilities for the price. I know where I will be staying if I find myself in Coventry again!

- Darren (10/5): - This is my second stay at this establishment i would NOT come for a second time if the property is not suitable. Easy access free parking but you MUST enter your vehicle details upon arrival. ANPR system. Coded security access to the Building for your safety and then check in. I have Had a warm friendly welcome from Chantelle on Both occasions who makes the check in ordeal easy and accommodating. Rooms are SUPER clean warm and bedding and towels etc very clean. After check in you can retire to the Bar area for scrumptious cool Beers and delicious food and AGAIN a friendly smile and service from Chantelle. There is a launderette opposite and Barbers shops pubs and takeaway so ideal for contractors like myself. On a major Bus route into town also. Cooked breakfast in the morning after a night enjoying the entertainment the Wyken have to offer in the evenings. What more could you ask for.

- Scott (8/5): - I had a friendly welcome at check in which was completed promptly with clear instructions for my one night stay. My room was on the ground floor and very well presented, clean, tidy and looked newly refurbished. The bed was comfy and the room was well laid out with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. No towel rail or hook but I made do. During my stay I couldn't use the small wall lights finding there were no bulbs in them. The television signal was not great but the weather may have affected this. I was served in the bar area for a cup of tea and some snacks following a late-finish meeting in the city. The staff were lovely and chatty which I like. I was up early any way but I did feel it was a little noisy through to around 3am with what sounded like drunken patrons. Softer closing doors might help with this. But I found the cosiness of my room helped counter this. I would recommend staying here, friendly staff, newly refurbished rooms, it's easy to access by public transport, close to the town, train station, hospital and M6, Uber works here and it's a friendly city to be in.

Room was extremely clean, newly decorated and nice bed. Please note: no kettle/cups/etc., so bring your own for an early morning cuppa. Free tea/coffee available in the bar.

- Philip (10/5): Refurbished Wyken Hotel. - This was my first stay at the Wyken Inn and the inn has been totally refurbished by the owner. I had an initial problem but was this was soon sorted by Megan. As you would expect as the hotel has been refurbished so every thing was clean and new. I travel to Coventry on a regular bases for work so this will be my hotel going forward for my time in Coventry.
