- Jimmarie (1/5): - The people managing it
- Claire (10/5): Super emplacement !

Excelente calidad precio. Volveré seguro. Muchas gracias Kai y su familia

- GAD (1/5): - the owner helped us with a taxi very dirty place, we came and left after an hour
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Central location with a very friendly and helpful host who makes sure that your stay is going well and that you are enjoying your time in Chiang Mai also. The accommodation is quite simple but you get what you pay for.
- Cian (10/5): Great Family, Great place can’t say much more. - Being Thai it was like living at my Mam’s house. It’s a traditional Thai house so come here if you want an authentic experience. Gai the owner is very nice helps you with everything you need. The room is perfect for the price and you sre greeted with a lovely dog named cookie at the front. It’s not that I didn’t like it but I can understand how people would find reception unappealing as it is full of his little childs toys but this is understandable as it is their house👍😄
- Aung (7/5): Good -
- Samuel (4/5): Moved out even though room paid for. Found fabulous B&B on the same street. - great location in old town. excellent street, other places there. Moved out because of hard bed. Forfeited one pre-paid night's stay. The owner at the desk was nice when I checked in but not after that.
- Blackwell (4/5): Good location but you can find somewhere more comfortable - In a good location- decent price Room has no air con, only a weak fan, was very difficult in the heat, no towels, we were given soft blankets to use instead to dry ourselves (we double checked they were supposed to be towels) downstairs there is a dog called Cooke chained up at all hours of the day and a very strong scent of dog urine in the heat. Downstairs reception is also very messy and smelly but it is their home. There was an ant infestation in the room (ants coming from a hole in the wall) and they crawled all over my bag and clothes - they were full of ants, we kindly asked the owners if we could please get a free wash for the infested clothes and they got very defensive saying they will give our money back and that we should leave, as we tried to explain that overall the ants are not our fault, the owner got more defensive and we ended up leaving. We got a room round the corner at lanna hostel with aircon and no ants for $1 more.
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional - I had a very lovely stay!
The room is very nice and clean.I had a very nice private little balcony which I really enjoyed .
The location is perfect cause even though it is in the city centre it is not too noisy nor crowded.
The owner and his family are very good hosts!
He helped book some activities
I recommend the cooking class!
Thanks a lot
I recommend this place !
- Vincent (7/5): Good value - Good location Very hard bed
Very very dirty lobby (room was clean)
- Dor (7/5): Good -
- Julia (6/5): Pleasant - It was very well located in the old town, which is a beautiful part of the city. The entrance had a lot of clutter, which didn’t look like a hostel for me in the first place. The room was ok, very basic
- Ming (4/5): Disappointing - Female owner is nice Wi-Fi not working
Rooms size data is false, much smaller in reality
- Bella (8/5): Very good -
- Vishal (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the property was just outstanding
- Mehdi (10/5): Exceptional - It's a great place to stay in chiang mai, it's a family home so you get the perfect local experience, so friendly people and great location
- Bilong (5/5): Passable -
- Mary (9/5): I loved it here, I would have stayed longer but they were booked up and I left after 6 nights. - I loved the private 3rd floor terrace overlooking the street. The family that runs this guesthouse are wonderful, very sweet. Kai is the patriarch and very helpful with information about the area. It’s a great value. Rooms are small but perfect for a single. That I couldn’t stay longer.
- Hugh (7/5): Price is hard to beat - Value was so good It’s the family’s house so it’s very untidy walking in
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heerco (9/5): Perfect location, comfortable. - Perfect location close to everything! Simple but clean, great owners! Had a great stay and will definitely be back.
- Bobbythewop (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (10/5): Such lovely hosts who were so welcoming and helpful. Great location in the Old City and great value for a private bathro - Friendly and welcoming hosts who were very helpful and sweet! Great location in the Old City. Great value for a private room and bathroom!
- Komoe (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jo (10/5): We booked 3 nights and extended. The owner and his family where very nice and welcoming - Friendly family home, very welcoming and helpful. Balcony was perfect with Mountain View.
- Alon (8/5): Very good -
- Ohad (10/5): This is by far the place I enjoyed the most in. It is nothing fancy, but a very fair price. I loved the host and his fam - The hospitality was amazing
- La (10/5): Exceptional - The location cannot be better, just in the city centre of Chiang Mai. It is very clean even looking in hidden places. And the best is the personal; they're very welcoming (especially the little baby) and the hostel is actually a big family house so you'll definetly feel confortable and secure. Most of the days I went out 7-8 in the morning without locking the room and then coming late in the evening and nothing happend with my stuff.
- Yotam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Yoshi (10/5): Loveliest owners with a great family run establishment - Super friendly owners with heaps of knowledge and recommendations around Chiang Mai. They helped us organise mini bus transport to the most amazing elephant rescue centre. In the lobby you’ll be greeted by a lovely white cat, often bathing in the sun. Our room was very clean with everything you need: Air conditioning, balcony, fridge, wardrobe etc… overall a very hospitable place to stay! We only expected to stay 1 night but ended up staying almost a week! We loved it!
- Nwe (10/5): Big Room and low price !!! - Located in old town not so far from both airport and train station. A lot of places to visit within walking distance. The owners showed us where to visit. Will stay there again when I go next time. I chose fan room and located in third floor. Its 3 storey building so you can still feel the heat even night time. Anyway its manageable to sleep.
- Viggo (7/5): Good -
- Andre (1/5): NIghtmare - It,s not a hotel but a dog shelter.reception more like a recycling center .papers and dog food on the floor.no air conditioning in my room.20 minutes later I left this kennel.you can verify mes words.....
- Mathew (7/5): Good - Good location Some parts quite unclean
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable bed and room, friendly staff and perfect location
- Zhou (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean ! Nice service ! Kind polite person. The location is perfect
- Bettina (5/5): Passable - The Location was perfect for me. It was enough for 2 to 3 nights. It was cheap, so for low budget traveler was ok. The room itself was clean. The owners were friendly. But the entrance area of the Hostel is very dirty, a lot of trash around. The owners had some puppies and they were jumping around beeing loud and jumping on me when I came or left the house. And you could smell everything from the dogs.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Good rooms, host treats all visitors like family. Excellent location -
- Etana (10/5): Exceptional - Helpful owner and cute puppies
- Felipeletelierb (9/5): Superb -
- Elena (5/5): Passable - Location, friendly staff Very messy front and reception room, the puppies were very cute but left poo in the hallways, woke us up at 3am and also ate my sandals which were then thrown away without telling me.
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
- Murtaza (9/5): Superb -
- Tinarr (3/5): Cheap but depressing - Host is friendly and helpful. Room in very poor condition,
Water not enough to wash hair.
Very depressing and no communal area to sit and hang out.
- Chris (10/5): Loved the place. Great location - The people that own it are fantastic people. Super helpful. They speak good english and I don't speak good Thai so that was very nice. There was a little fridge in the room. I liked that. It's quiet and so convenient to everything. Laundry, massage, markets, food etc. There's a great little place across the street to grab some great Thai food. Please go see her. She's super sweet. Also I would like to add the people were trying to find homes for some puppies while I was there and really loved those little dogs. I really hope they find good loving homes. Its great that those people are trying their best to find them homes. Thank you so much for the stay. That I couldn't take a puppy home. And there was an annoying french girl who thought she had some divine right to leave 2 big bags there when she had checked out and hadn't planned in leaving until late that night. These people are not your doormat and bare no responsibility to your inability to.pack light. You were annoying everyone.
- Joycejoyce (10/5): Amazing Thai homestay! - You feeling at home straight away in this typical Thai house! The rooms are simple but have everything you need.
The rooms are very clean! The location is perfect! It’s a very good price for what you get :):)
Kai and his family are amazing! I don’t understand that people dear to complain in the reviews after they left. Because Kai is asking you everyday if you are still oké with everything and if he can help you with anything.
Yes they have 4 lovely puppy’s they’re amazing and so nice to play with them! The sad story is that the mama dog died by hit by a motor view weeks ago. It’s hard working to raise 4 puppy’s without the mama dog, but they giving those little baby’s the chance to become healthy and strong dogs! So much respect for that!! Nothing to say
- Liza (5/5): Not so great - The location was good, close to a lot of restaurant and market They ask you to take off your shoes before going inside the building but it is not clean inside because of 4 puppies who’s pooping and peeing everywhere… My boyfriend got stung by bedbug probably because of the sheet, I didn’t because I used my own. And also pretty noisy because of the puppies were crying and barking at night.
- Maksym (7/5): Great value overall and a nice place to stay short-term in the heart of Chiang Mai - The location is great: it's in the old town and there are many things to see, and places to visit in the walking distance. The owner is really friendly and can give some good recommendations where to go and what to see and when. A bit weird smell in the building and in the room. Need to take off your shoes before entering the building, and the way to the room could be a bit sticky. No elevator.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - Very nice staff, clean room with balcony. Great value! A bonus were 4 cute puppies belonging to the owner.
- Igor (7/5): Good - clean rooms and bathrooms This is the first time I have to rate it less than 10. The entrance is a mess. The light bulb in the room broke - I told the owner, but in 2 days he did not find the time to replace it. Wifi does not work periodically. No kettle. 4 puppies wander around the hostel, pissing on the stairs - watch your step.
- Taha (5/5): I wouldn’t go back there if I had to visit Chiang Mai again - Inside the square marking the old city. Close to main areas. The cleanliness and the manager pushing to sell tours. When I asked for towels to take them to the elephants sanctuary tour, he refused. In all hotels in Thailand, I could get more towels when needed except there.
The room has a nice balcony but without a mosquito net, it was useless especially after the first night when my partner woke up scared by 2 giant cockroach on the curtains. The owner helped me to kill one of them but you could imagine how annoying this was. My partner stayed worried for the rest of the stay about that. I know that at that price range someone shouldn’t except to have the comfort of a 3 stars hotel, but cleanliness is a must for all hotels no matter their price. Also, they have a no shoe’s policy in the stairs but they are not clean at all. My socks were dirty after walking on them. They also have puppies in the ground floor but this didn’t annoy me at all as I love pets. The owner told me that their mom was hit by a car and he felt obliged to take care of them.
I think he should hire someone to help him take care of the place. People will be happy to pay more if the place was more welcoming.
- Harry (7/5): Good -
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arti (7/5): Good hospitality and atmosphere. Clean bed and room. - We had to catch very early flight so we didn't have breakfast. Late checked-in.
- Anna (9/5): Great place to stay for 1-2 days, with super affordable price, you have your privacy, shower and clean bed… - Location is amazing! Owner is very friendly and supportive N/a
- Francesc (7/5): Good -
- Laura (7/5): Good, cheap hostel with friendly staff and adequate rooms, near everything! - Super friendly and helpful staff, giving us tips on where to go. Cute puppies in the lobby. Hostel very near the Center and all attractions, can walk easily to the night bazaar, bars and temples. Room was as you would expect for this price but appeared clean and well kept. Only fault was that albeit adorable, the puppies were really noisy throughout the night often crying out and barking which kept us up some nights.
- Joe (7/5): Lovely stay, great hosts and lush puppies! -
- Ihor (7/5): Good -
- Ausrine (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
- Ani (7/5): Good -
- Htay (5/5): Passable -
- Sean (7/5): Good - Hot water in shower, well located, great price. Bad WiFi, several options and all went really slowly or sometimes wouldn't connect.
- Anais (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (7/5): Good -
- Alexander (10/5): Great location and cute dog - The host was very friendly. The location is great. There was a very cute dog.
- Robin (9/5): Superb - Very friendly host
- Julian (8/5): Great location and value - I really liked the location in the city. Many good pool bars down the street, plenty of good food, nightlife, and easy bike rental. I didn’t dislike anything in particular. It gives off a homestay vibe that was quite enjoyable.
- Franck (4/5): Disappointing - Good air cond Chabby small bedroom
- Celine (6/5): Pleasant - central, nice staff
- Judit (8/5): Very good - Good value for the money
- David (9/5): Good value for money, lovely owner/manager, excellent location - The manager here is very nice/friendly. The location of the hostel is excellent. The room was a decent size & very clean. Very good shower. They have 2 lovely pets (dog & cat) that are adorable! Good value for money also. Only complaint was how hot the room got (we booked a room with fan only & it was extremely hot). If there's an option to choose air conditioning we would recommend doing so.
- Janejira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nora (10/5): Exceptional - great location in the old city ! the host was SUPER helpful and helped us get motorbike rentals and transport.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Si (10/5): Exceptional - Good
- Fernanda (10/5): Exceptional - The owner and his wife were the best!! They gave me a lot of recommendations and I was able to leave my suitcase there for a few days to visit Pai!!
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kyle (10/5): I definitely recommend to stay here and if you do, say hi to Brownie for us and give her come belly rubs! - The location is great because you’re right in Old Town but the price is very reasonable. The room was clean and had a balcony which was a nice bonus. The owner is a really friendly guy and is always happy to help. This was actually our second time staying at You and Me Hostel but we came back again for all the reasons I mentioned as well as to visit our friend, Brownie. She’s the cute dog that will great you with all the love when you arrive at You and Me Hostel. Everything was great!
- Chrissy (7/5): Good -
- Sonya (9/5): Superb - The owners are very friendly and helpful, and their dog Brownie is absolutely the sweetest girl. The area is great if you're on foot, or have a bicycle to explore.
The room itself (fan room) was simple and with everything I needed as a solo traveler. Private room, private bathroom, a tiny balcony with some hangers for drying clothing, and just enough space at the foot of the bed to unroll a yoga mat. Perfect for being on a budget and having your own room. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but fine if you're used to firmer, older beds as are common here. The towel was a kind of microfiber which doesn't absorb water well, so I just used my travel towel :)
- Tylva (9/5): Superb - Staff is very nice. Room was small but enough, bathroom in the room was clean. Ac worked. All good! Location is great with a super nice smoothie bar close by! That we don't get the room we booked, but we ended up fine where we stayed. Bed is not on the softer side.
- Bianka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maddie (10/5): amazing - This was one of the best stays I’ve had since travelling thailand this last month - the staff are incredible. The owner went above and beyond for us from the very beginning - I recommend this hostel so much and will tell everyone about it. When we are next in Chiang Mai we will definitely be back. thank you for such a great experience loved everything
- Damiën (8/5): Very good -
- Eoin (10/5): very enjoyable stay . would stay again if i visit chiang mai - the hostel is in a perfect location , very nice area with bars around . the owners are very pleasant and guy is funny man , they run a laundry service in hostel. they have lovely dog and also mind and feed two other nice dogs and cat .
- Ellie (8/5): Very good - the owner was super lovely and was able to help us out when we needed it. the location was perfect for walking around the old town. the front area to the place could definitely use a clean up.
