- Alison (5/5): I hardly slept and couldn’t get up the ladder to the bed. - The location The access to the bed was via a ladder and the shower room was very small. The washbasin was fitted to the toilet cistern. The fold out settee was very uncomfortable
- Rebecca (7/5): -
- Wojciech (9/5): - Świetna lokalizacja. Bardzo pomocni właściciele🙂
- Sheena (7/5): It was ok - Dog friendly and in a good location for us Sofa uncomfortable, toilet leaked, no windows at all it was a sauna in there and it was very hard to get on the bed
- Bradders The Boat (9/5): Stunning place to stay - highly recommended to anybody - Breakfast from the on-site restaurant (Not included) was superb
- Stephanie (10/5): - Friendly host
- Jo (7/5): - The location and value for money. Great for 1 night Couch was uncomfortable
- Mans (9/5): -
- Roberta (8/5): Good value, comfortable stay - Cute & cosy
- Jana (10/5): - It was a cosy stay. There is everything what you need.It was clean. We appreciate a small kitchen where we cooked pasta :)

- Sue (6/5): -
- Leah (10/5): cute bothay stay - it was super cosy and cute, had everything u needed, clean, host was super helpful
- Alicia (9/5): Lovely little stay. Great if you have a dog as it has its own little yard. - Had everything we needed. Great location. Walking distance to everything you could need. Just be prepared that the stairs up to the bed are steep but the bed is super comfy when you get up there!
- Jane (7/5): Great stay at short notice - It had everything we needed for an overnight stay The was a street lamp shining through the window in the door all night. A block out curtain or blind would be useful
- Kirstin (10/5): Absolutely loved it and will certainly return! - It is very cute and even more welcoming. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. Such a cosy wee space! It was cold when I got there (it was a much colder night than expected). Once I switched on the heating it got quickly cosy.
- Neil (10/5): Stay was perfect and just what we needed - Was away for the weekend with my son this place was perfect location for us and had everything we needed even had tea and coffee for arrival would highly recommend if looking for something different from your standard hotels
- Charlie (5/5): Not the best stay… - Good location, hot water in the shower, good amenities, ample parking. Host was responsive. Unfortunately there were a few things, the toilet was leaking, shower flooded the bathroom, there were several hairs found, there were an alarming number of wasps coming from the shower vent outside the property.
The upstairs bed felt like a sauna and also there was no curtain on the front door, so light came shining through very early.
- Kyle (8/5): -
- Martha (7/5): - Ended up sleeping downstairs due to heat. Couch was very uncomfortable. Managed 4.5 hours sleep.
- Sajid (6/5): Was convenient and good location - The location The room, the space
- Finlay (8/5): -
- Derek (10/5): - Unique place to stay. All the required facilities in a compact layout. Loved it.
- Drew (8/5): - Location
- Kirsten (8/5): Perfect for an overnight stay! Facilities were brilliant - Lovely and clean inside - perfect for an overnight stay can be quite warm
- Tim (10/5): -
- Darren (9/5): - Really clean, excellent use of space, Adventure cafe really reasonably priced too! Can't fault the digs to be fair - a blind over the front door would be the only thing I could think of.
- Steven (10/5): Stay there if you can - The wee bothy I'd always as it wee and comfy Nowt to not like
- Eric (6/5): - Quirky
- CHRISTINE (8/5): - Great place, very compact and well equipped. The lovely location was great for 1 night. Loved the seating outside private space. Settee which was a sofa bed was pretty hard for seating
- Andrew (8/5): Perfect overnight on the NC500 - Easy to access. Good fun. And had breakfast outside The bed was fine. But they are steep stairs to the bed which might be a challenge for some
- Sue (5/5): It’s compact and clean but the bed is very inaccessible. - No one mentioned how difficult it would be to climb up the steps to the bed. Not suitable for people who are not fit and healthy.
- Vicky (10/5): -
- Linda Maria (8/5): - The Wee Bothy was very quirky Private and a small secure garden for our 2 dogs. It was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The Sofa bed as a second bed which I slept on was very uncomfortable. I would recommend replacing it.
- Michael (6/5): A great little property, ideal for one night. - Great location, particularly the beautiful coast so nearby and very convenient for shopping. The food van next door would also have been useful had we known about it. The bathroom sink was too small, the shower curtain was poorly positioned and let water into the bathroom and the toilet waste leaked resulting in an unpleasant smell. We also found the sleeping are extremely warm and the settee uncomfortable.
- Nina (9/5): -
- Constance (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, very cosy! -
- Gery (8/5): Nice 'tiny house' experience for a short stay -
Gut ausgestattet.
- Wall (6/5): - Comfy bed although not easy to access, especially during the night . Easy walk to platform 1864 No hot water in the bathroom. Tiny sink in the bathroom. A mat would have been nice. TV was a nightmare.
- Sandra (7/5): Sehr kleine Hütte, besser für Einzelreisende geeignet. - Nett eingerichtet. Hochbett nicht ausreichend gesichert.
Toilettenabfluss undicht.
- Jane (6/5): Not very comfortable - It was quirky.
The outside space was lovely. The stairs to the mezzanine level were an accident waiting to happen. There needs to be a hand rail or something.
The microwave was not clean and there was food spillage on the plate in there.
The word glamping conjures up images of being on a nice site somewhere, but it was actually on an industrial estate. My error for not checking the location carefully.
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable .
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional - Close to centre of town, comfy beds
- Whitcher (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): Good -
- Penelope (8/5): Very good -
- Livvy (8/5): Very good -
- Sushant (3/5): It was uncomfortably cosy. - The location was nice just walking distance away from tesco and other supermarkets. The ladder leading to bed was way too steep and very risky especially for people who are unfit or the children, it was bit risky to get down as in case if you slip on that ladder you could hit your head on counter top which could be fatal.
It was difficult for two people to sleep on the bed because it will get too suffocating for the person sleeping towards wall, hardly any room to sit upright and not touch the roof.
- Tanja (8/5): Very good - Very warm and helpful hosts!
- Rosie (8/5): Compact but decent. - Cute and cosy, compact. A bit too compact for 3 but that's our choice. Found some dog/ animal hair.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (5/5): For nigh on £100 I did expect something better in all honesty. - Location ok. Bed at top of a very steep ladder. You need to be fit and agile to get up to bed.
Bathroom wash basin built into the toilet cistern top. Not quite where I would want to brush my teeth!!
Fridge emitted an awful smell but perfectly clean.
Internet buffered and gave up the ghost all together midway through the 22:00 news. Never got it back.
Instructions for things like the Tv need to be improved.
- Rhiannon (7/5): Good for a short stay, a challenge to get in and out of the loft bed though - Good location, compact wee room with everything needed for a short stay. The ladder to the loft bed was steep and getting down was a challenge as there wasn't much to hold on to. Would suggest some sort or rail or handle on the right hand side would make this feel much safer. Bed was comfy though. The sofa bed when folded down had a line of crumbs and dirt down the middle seam so should be cleaned a bit more thoroughly. The towels in the bathroom smelt damp. Other than that we did enjoy our short stay and the bothy had good amenities. We also bought a coffee and cold rolls from the van outside before we left. The coffee was good but the rolls were stale with one thin piece of ham and some lettuce so not the best.
- Yinotyin (9/5): Superb - A quirky place to stau Nothing
- Anne (9/5): Comfortable, welcoming, quirky space - Location was good. Ideal space for overnight stay or a couple of days. Lovely outdoor space with table and chairs. Comfortable bed. All facilities in a neat space. The location is at the edge of the industrial estate but it’s a short distance to lovely walks by the sea.
- Nobles (10/5): Wee bothy I'd great. 5 min walk to nyktipl - Adventure Cafe was super convenient and great value. Most sauces I've seen in Scotland!
- Stephen (9/5): The little gem in Tain - Nice little gem
No dramas
Very clean ,tidy and warm
Take out food outside
Nice little garden
Everything you could possibly need
Parking outside
Good value
A lot in a small space, compact ,fantastic for two
Thought the sink in the bathroom was brilliant Steps to the bed a bit steep for pensioners , but there is a pull out bed downstairs
- Kathy (5/5): Owner super helpful, i need to read blurb about property carefully as wasn’t keen on coming down steps in middle of nigh - Very quirky. Close to shops Steps up to bed. No blind on outside door, and curtain not going to floor in shower - wet all the floor
- Malcolm (6/5): Quirky fun stop - Quirkiness. Location. Wee Bothy indicates rural, so indistinguishable setting was a surprise.
VS grade climbing required to get into main bed. sofa bed at ground level a bit firm.
- Paula (5/5): OK for a night - good central location bedding wasn't clean or the fridge.
- Kurtis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Very cosy! Getting out of bed!
- Judy (8/5): Very good - The owner went out of his way to provide a DVD player and DVDs when tv didn't work. Much appreciated
- Maher (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were so welcoming! Mark was so passionate about all of his works and we luckily got a tour of the other unoccupied units which were even more amazing! The wee bothy was a perfect overnight stay for us everything you could need was there. Walking distance from the beach, pub and takeaways The sofa bed was perfect for the one night. A mattress topper might be needed if staying for more than the one
- Keira (10/5): very cosy and clean stay for our short trip. was perfect for us and had everything we needed - very clean and cosy nothing
- Keely (10/5): Fabulous for a quirky adventure. - Very quirky and a great accommodation for our family overnight stay.
Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very friendly.
Great food hut located on site, beach within walking distance for the dog and we also ate at Platform 1864 which we all enjoyed.
We would certainly return. Nothing as was perfect for our overnight stay.
- Virendra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virendra (10/5): Exceptional - Small and comfortable ..
- Amy (8/5): Cute, comfy and different.. great for a secret get away - Very cosy and has all the essentials.
Only thing missing I would say is a fire pit for the garden to sit in cosy. But will definitely be back!
- Van (8/5): Great little place - Great little place to stay. Very clean and cosy. Sink bit small, hard to wash dishes or your face. Loved all the wood and great to have the bed upstairs. May need extra handle on the wall when climbing down. Loved our stay, was fab. Enjoyed having tge burger van on site. Also like little outdoor area, bet that's nice in the summer ☀️
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marco (10/5): Amazing stay! - The wee Bothy was a fantastic little spot for the 2 nights we stayed. Lovely and quiet, clean, tidy and everything you need is provided. Nice warm shower, comfy bed! Nothing! Was fantastic
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillip (9/5): Good location ticked all the boxes we required -
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Excellent stay and great value for money - The wee bothy was well designed, spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Was a really cute we place for our 1 night in Tain. Hosts were in communication prior to arriving and check in/out was very straight forward. Nothing not to like about it.
