They gave me the wrong entry code and I waited an hour out front waiting for the right code. That was pretty lame. I had just finished a long hike and was tired, hungry, and dirty. Also the bathroom sink was postage stamp sized for some reason.

Similarly, narrow outside concrete steps leading down to a yard where the bins are. And similarly the steps down from entrance hall to lounge - loose and very dangerous Big problem gaining access on arrival. No meet and greet. Saw nobody.Got text with key number code.But didn’t work, box doesn’t open as it should do. Kitchen has no curtain and is directly facing sun in morning - impossibly hot in there. No curtains on lounge window No air conditioning If you want a beer, take your own glass and opener. None provided. Just two small glasses - not suitable And take your own bread knife - non provided. Outside - no reserved parking. So you take your chances BIG ISSUE: hidden extra: having to pay a £250 surety against damage. Not told about this until after I had completed payment to B.Com. So forced to pay, to conclude the booking. No choice, can’t pull out unless you lose your B.Com payment. If I’d known before hand, I wouldn’t have booked it. Trade descriptions issue?

- Nerina (8/5): Ideal location, and perfect for a solo break by the sea. - The space was lovely - clean with everything you needed, comfy bed, good shower. Very close to the sea front. Owners were helpful and there was information on local amenities. You're close to the station and Sainsburys, and the centre of the town. The info about finding the lock box was initially a bit confusing, and depending on what link I used, or whether I used Google maps I got a different 'front door' when I put the address in - so I wasn't entirely sure where I was going. However all good once in. Email not a fast way to communicate with the owners (but they were lovely when they did respond, and it wasn't an excessive wait - just not for 'emergencies')

Saltburn has lots of great cafes, with different specialities. On second floor up very steep upper staircase (we are in our 70s and with cases it was a struggle). We thought we had booked Ground Floor. Loose stair carpet on short staircase in flat. Being asked to allow maintenance work during our stay, which should have been done before our stay. Lots of scuffs on paintwork in hallway. Underbed and wardrobe shelf dusty. Access to main rubbish bins being in the garden two floors down and out through a fire exit in back garden. Didn’t like extra cost for cleaning and services fee when booking.com said price all inclusive, a well as large breakages deposit.

The apartment was clean, included all amenities that we needed and the bed was super comfy! Our little dog loved the space too and the outside garden was great for her. This was our first time visiting the area and I’d definitely recommend these apartments - the beach on our doorstep and a dog friendly apartment made our stay really easy and enjoyable :) We can’t wait to come back to Saltburn and now we’ve found the perfect spot to stay. Communication from the team was frequent and helpful leading up to and during our stay.

- Alicia (9/5): Such a great place to stay. - Great location for both the beach, shops bars and restaurants. Sainsbury is literally a few minutes walk. The apartment was small but the layout was well designed and had everything you required for your stay. It was exceptionally clean and the staff very helpful The only thing for me which is more me than the apartment is I would have preferred a separate bedroom. This was a last minute booking and I would book again.

Friendly staff messaging to check we were ok and if we had any questions, as well as provide recommendations for local places to eat and attractions. Extremely comfortable stay and we will definitely be coming back.

The oven wasn't working and reported, they said the would send maintenance but never arrived and tried to call them back the next day but didn't get an answer. Little shared garden and dog friendly. The apartment is situated close to independent shops and bars and a large supermarket. Very close to the beach too.

Host was attentive on message. The sofa was so unbearably uncomfortable, needs replacing ASAP- you could feel springs through the flimsy cushion. Also the mattress needs replacing, it dips into the middle and therefore not ideal for sharing a bed & also causes back pain.
- Chelsea (9/5): Perfect home base for Yorkshire adventures - Fantastic location, easy to get into with clear instructions and everything was exactly as described. I loved having a great kitchen and living space to hang out. Easy walking distance to shops, groceries, the beach. After coming from some very crowded beach towns, I loved that this town was a little more for the locals and, still busy but not heaving so I could just relax. It was genuinely perfect. The mattress was a little uncomfortable and the shower was very hot but the overall stay was really great and I loved everything else about staying there.

- Hayley (8/5): - Really nice apartment and very clean, very relaxing. The lock boxes were problematic, hard to unlock and a little worn. I also couldn't open it to drop the keys back off so had to call the number on my booking. I also had trouble locking the front door. I felt that communication in general could have been a bit more present, though responses on email did happen, but if there could be a bit more assurance there would be a person around to speak to properly if any problems that would have improved the stay. However I would happily return as it was a nice place.

Between our room and the neighbours there was a vestibule with a lockable door. One evening when we returned this door had been locked and our keys didn’t open the door. Eventually we woke the neighbours up and they let us in

- bethany (10/5): Outstanding coastal stay - The apartment was fantastic; well decorated and comfortable with a good kitchen that had all the cooking equipment needed to prepare meals and enjoy a short break away. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. Very comfortable but stylish at the same time. The location was outstanding, a 10 minute walk from our front door down to the beach front and right on a beautiful high street that welcomed us to a side of Saltburn we had never enjoyed before! There is a wonderful bakery and coffee shop on the corner of the road, loads of restaurants and bars only minutes away, an independent old fashioned sweet shop, a Sainsbury’s for those wanting to do a good shop only 4-5 minutes away on foot, interesting local independent shops to enjoy, and we even got to go to a lovely food market on Saturday! We will definitely be back and loved every minute of our stay. Nothing the apartment was well thought out and spacious.

- Soela (9/5): A peaceful stay with everything i needed - This flat is in a beautiful location, close to the beach and only a 2 minute walk to the station. It’s very spacious and beautifully decorated. I had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in saltburn. The bath on the top floor was a lovely touch however you are not able to shower there as it would make the floor very wet. Also the bathrooms are quite small given the flat is such a good size.

- David (8/5): We had a very nice stay here and would probably stay again if in the area. - Very clean, quite spacious apartment, with comfortable settee and bed. The fittings were of high quality, the bathroom a good size and most things worked well. Very cold on arrival and took a few hours to warm up. The over bath shower could have done with a handle to steady getting out and we couldn't fathom how to get the oven working, which looked very new and never been used. These criticisms are small and did not affect our enjoyment of our stay.

- Sarah (9/5): Exceptional apartment, great location - Very high quality furniture, fittings and fixings. The property looked exactly as in the photographs and everything had been thought of - including step ladders for the velux window blinds (hidden in the bedroom cupboard). The master suite upstairs was exceptional with easily accessible plugs on either side of the bed. Downstairs, the property had plenty of cutlery and crockery as well as cooking equipment which was perfect for us. Tea, coffee and sugar were readily available and there were some milk sachets in the fridge. Location was very close to the station and centre of town at one end of the road - a stone’s throw from restaurants, bars and Sainsbury’s and at the other end of the road was the beach. Great communication with staff, who sent emails checking that we’d checked-in okay and that we had everything we needed. They were also on hand to help when we couldn’t work the tricky key safe! The on-street parking outside the property (although free!) was very busy and we often had to park in the next street which wasn’t a massive issue to us but might be to others. Others had warned of the stairs but obviously it was a penthouse apartment so we were expecting several flights.

Communication from the owner was excellent. I would recommend this property for a stay in Saltburn I was very happy with all the facilities
- Pauline (5/5): Accommodation disappointing - The location The cramped bedroom. Uncomfortable sofa bed. The photos on your website were very misleading, we were all expecting luxurious accommodation for two nights. It was OK. Sorry.

- Elaine (10/5): Good experience from booking to check out, such a shame about lack of luggage storage - We stayed in the Quarter Master apartment, first floor at the front. It was very well appointed with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. On a bitterly cold weekend at the start of January it was really warm and cosy, so much so, we turned down the radiator in the bedroom. The location couldn’t be more central, no more than 3 minutes to Sainsbury’s , 4 to the train station and between 2 and 10 minutes from places to eat and drink. The Pillar Box, Guns Bar, Koselig Bakery and Coco & Rum are must tries. It was excellent value for money. The only criticism we have is, there was nowhere to store our luggage, even for a nominal fee,before check in or after checkout unless we paid rather expensive early check in/late check out costs. This posed a problem for us as we traveled by train.
