- Advait (9/5): Tranquil Waters of the Jhelum - The best thing about this place is the fact that it is not in Dal Lake. I and a friend of mine had gone trekking in Kashmir and had a couple of days in Srinagar before and after the trek. Our stay here was very memorable and it was probably the best thing about Srinagar. There are only a handful of houseboats in the Jhelum river and hence it is not too crowded. Moreover, the location is not a touristy one. All the major hotels and resorts are densely concentrated near Dal Lake which leaves this place quiet and less crowded. Lal Chowk market, Polo View Market, the famous Ahdoos Restaurant, are within 1-1.5 km radius. You get Zomato deliveries at this place. The host was very responsive and helpful. The caretaker there too was very kind. He would oblige to set us plates and cutlery to eat the food we had ordered. We had booked the AC room and it was very comfortable. The Jhelum river front also serves as a great place to have an early morning or late evening stroll. If I ever wish to visit Srinagar again, it would only be to stay at Messiah's Ark. Since the boat house is in the river, there will be disturbance early in the morning when the sand miners and fishermen leave in their respective boats. The chattering and sounds of rowing are bound to wake you up early in the morning.
- Amol (10/5): Exceptional - Location (Rajbagh area) and staff is great. Kitchen is not available but you can order from swiggy and location is within the range of main spots like Lal Chowk, Dal Lake and Polo View Market. Use UBER for 10Km radius travel, its cheaper and hassle free. Breakfast option could have been great.

- Rameeza (8/5): Very good - The houseboat was clean and had a rooftop access. Superb for 4 people as it's similar to a 2bhk flat with living room and terrace (no kitchen though). Property owner Suhail personally handled the electricity issues. Devu bhai, caretaker, was really helpful right from lifting the luggage to/from the boat, to picking up breakfast for us in the morning and other electricity issues. The area has electricity issues which made the heating difficult. Wouldn't recommend for winters.
- Siva (8/5): It was a decent stay i would say. it was not overwhelming or extraordinary. very less hospitality. - we liked the boat which was clean and very neat. Rest room was very compact and it was new and so it was clean. restroom was clean and compact. Blanket electric warmer helped a lot to sleep peacefully. Helping staff was very good. very frequent power cut at the night and there was no proper power back up.
toilet hand shower water pressure was very slow.
provided head & shoulder shampoo. could have been slightly better brand toiletries for the price paid.
No welcome drink provided. you can just stay and all food you have to eat outside. Atleast some snacks could have been given as a complement.
Kashmir boat house owners you should visit kerala house boat to understand the price vs facilities they provide.
- Senthil (10/5): Excellent value for money - Excellent location away from the busy part of the town with nearby market within walkable distance. Bath fittings were quite amazing with hot water facility around the clock.
