Guest Reviews
- Mairin (10/5): Exceptional stay! - Exceptional stay! The location is superb with the beach, fabulous food options and Dún Aonghasa on the doorstep. Only for that you wouldn’t want to leave the apartment as it is exquisite! Claire is the most wonderful host and we had such a fantastic stay we rebooked before we even checked out!! Nothing!
- Dana (9/5): - Very comfy apartment with all amenities. Very close to Dún Aonghasa.
We will be back!
- Mary (10/5): Our host Claire was always on hand and made our stay seamless. The location is fantastic and the property is beautiful - Absolutely stunning everything was done to the highest standard. Loved it and highly recommend. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): - I was in awe when I walked in, the attention to detail was beautiful and the views were exceptional. Rhe interior was modern but old time Ireland feel to it.
Unfortunately i had to cut my trip with the passing of my mother and host Claire was a great comfort to me in times of need, offering us to come back again showed her true colors and offering support in such a difficult time i will never forget! Thank you Claire, i look forward to seeing you again!
- Babra (10/5): It is a lovey house, very luxurious and comfortable - It is a bit far from the main village, but getting there was easy using the hop-on buses. The house is located in a quiet location next to the beach, loved every bit of my stay. Everything was well organised and thought of.
- Traci (10/5): I’ve been to Ireland several times, this has been the best to stay. The points of interest, and food have been wonderful - Location, views, our host. Perfect.
- Phillips (10/5): -
- Victor (9/5): -
- Frank (10/5): Wonderful stay in a beautiful place! - Beautiful suite with lovely views of the sea & the Dun Aengus fort. Very clean & fully equipped. The host, Clare, was very easy to communicate with & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You just have to get your luggage delivery & return sorted out since it is about 8 km from Kilronan. Typically, quite easily done.
- Ann Marie (10/5): Perfect place to stay. 11/10 recommend. - Gorgeous cottage in an ideal location with every comfort. This was our favorite stay of our nine-stop trip. Claire was easily reached, helpful and friendly. Everyone we encountered from taxi drivers to tour guides to shop staff were absolutely lovely. So very relaxing and wonderful! Absolutely nothing. This cottage is pristinely remodeled and perfectly situated.
- Broderick (10/5): -
- Valentina (10/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful apartment near the scenic Kilmurvey Beach. Very spacious, bright and clean. All the furniture looks brand new. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need (really appreciated the washing machine/dryer after cycling in the rain!). The host Claire is super nice too. Would definitely recommend 😊
- Julia (10/5): Thank you Claire for the most special stay in Ireland. - Wonderful host, sparkling clean apartment (truly), lots of space, and beautiful location! We recommend that everyone book this spot! N/A
- jessica (10/5): Overall amazing time! - We loved the view and the space! Everything was great! It’s a little bit out of the town but it’s accessible through tour buses.
- Ananya (10/5): -
- Iana (10/5): -
- Jesús (10/5): Homely stay in the Aran Islands - It very quickly felt like home after one day exploring the island. It was bigger than expected and very cozy and comfortable. The host was very communicative throughout the whole process (even the apartment came filled with tags). We particularly enjoyed the literature laying around. We'll surely be back soon.
- Selene (9/5): -
- kieran (9/5): Perfect - Amazing views . Great beds / bathroom / facilities
Really nice place recommended Some of the taxis to get home :)
- Fiona (10/5): - It was a beautiful place to stay, a little bit of luxury. It was spacious, comfortable and clean and excellent for visiting the sights by bike. If you come to Inishmore, you need to stay here!
- Roslyn (10/5): - Thanks for a lovely stay. The rooms were beautifully furnished with fantastic views of the countryside and celtic ruins up on the hill. I loved sitting in the lounge in front of the simulated 'fireplace' watching the flames. So good to have a hot bath after cycling the island in the wind and rain. Not enough time to read the books about the island! You'll need to pick up any food items you need forom the village at the port before you head to the accommodation in the middle of the island. Can be tricky organising an e-bike as most places won't let you keep them overnight and it's a bit of a ride back to the port. - but I was lucky to find a business that would rent me an e bike overnight with lights and a lock. Ask your hosts for information
- Ian (10/5): The most beautiful place we stayed in Ireland. - When we walked into Claire's, our kids asked "could we stay here for the rest of our vacation?" Claire herself was so kind, accommodating, and helpful with various insights about Inis Mor- we could ask her anything. The accommodations were beautiful, with spectacular views of Dun Aonghasa on one side and Galway Bay on the other. If we return to Ireland, this will definitely be a return spot for us. Absolutely nothing. This was the highlight of our trip. We couldn't have asked for a better place or a more gracious host.
- Sinead (10/5): -
- Claudia (10/5): You’ll be so lucky if you stay at Claire’s!!! - The property is located in an astonishingly beautiful para of the island (tbh, there’s no not-beautiful sights anywhere there). Perfect distribution of the two bedrooms. Great living space and full kitchen and all super clean and working perfectly well. There is nothing to not like about it. It’s walking distance to an area where you can find food and souvenirs and ice cream! As well as close to a beach (if you’re willing to brave the cool waters even in the summer!). You have to be aware that this is not in the area where the ferry drops you off. It’s about a 1 hour 45 minute walk (or a longish bike ride). In that sense it’s important to plan for transportation. However, Claire, our fabulous hostess gave us all the info needed and helped us get there and back to the ferry when we needed, with all our luggage and her absolutely charming energy.
- Igor (10/5): -
- Colm (10/5): - From the time we arrived until the time we left claire and martin were so welcoming and helpful. Location was 6km from main village but only a stone trow from the all the main features of the Island and the village of kilmurvey which was a hive of activity all day. I loved everything
- eimear (10/5): Would stay here again in a heartbeat. - Beautiful modern & spacious apartment Quiet .great for access to Dun Aengus.
Beds were super comfy. Very well equipped. Fabulous view over the sea /coastline to the mainland.
Minutes walk from the beach.
A nice cycle from Kilronaan.
Claire, our host couldn’t have been more helpful.
Go to the store in Kilronam before you go to the apartment… no shops in walking distance of the apartment. Nothing.
- Miguel (10/5): Feeling like home in Inishmore - I didn't expect such a nice, comfy, beautiful and big apartment. I thought at first it was expensive, though I didn't think much about it as there were no other available places when I booked. Yes, it is too much for one, but when you consider it is an apartment for 4, is cheap for what you get. Claire has really good taste and has done wonders with her house. She gave great tips about the island, helped me with the bike rental, also offered to take me to the pier and even helped me to arrange dinner if I wanted... she has installed a vending machine also in the hall for convenience. I would recommend to anyone. Just that I couldn't stay longer.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Claire and her family were lovely. So accommodating and friendly ☆ the flat was warm and homely There was nothing to dislike in the flat
- Hopkins (10/5): Stylish cosy apartment exceeds expectations - This is a beautiful tasteful apartment in a stunning location, just a short walk from kilmurvey beach and within view of Dun Aengus.
Everything was easy to follow and check in was smooth.
Claire is very responsive to messages and super helpful during my stay there.
She even gave lift to the airport.
I could see Claire really cares about her visitors experience and the attention to detail in the home aesthetic is apparent.
I'd highly recommend Claire and her beautiful apartment.
I hope to return again soon and stay longer! Nothing.
- Kalina (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay. Claire was an amazing host, very responsive, accommodating and super friendly!!! The apartment was tastefully decorated, so cosy, very comfortable and spotless (smell of fresh linen was absolutely amazing after a long day of sightseeing)! The views were breathtaking! We can’t wait to be back. Thank you Claire!
Ps. We love the cute doggies!
- Gearoid (10/5): Lovely stay with a view of Dun Aonghasa in the background. The apartment was lovely and comfy! - Yeah, exactly what we were hoping. A comfortable experience with a nice chill place as base of operations over the weekend. Martin and Claire were a delight to deal with! Lovely place!
- Olivia (10/5): Stunning - The most beautiful apartment, in a gorgeous location. The owner is so lovely and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this venue! Nothing. Stunning place and will definitely be back.
- Aiden (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean well-presented apartment. Beautifully finished.
- June (10/5): We loved it here and thank Claire for taking such good care of us. We hope to return one day and highly recommend stayin - Beautiful , spacious and spotlessly clean apartment. The view is wonderful. We liked the location as it was within walking distance to the wonderful Kilmurvey Beach as well as the fort.
The apartment is very well equipped. We liked everything about this property.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartment. Great facilities, everything you need. We didn't stay long enough to cook, but it was well equipped. Also close to some lovely food options if you eat before 4.
- Anne (10/5): Wonderful stay, lovely setting, great hosts -
- Mary (10/5): Great apartment beautifully decorated and in a quite rural location -
- Orlagh (10/5): Fabulous accommodation located on a beautiful island, with the exceptional hospitality and a friendly Irish welcome - Our stay, although brief was probably one of the most comfortable stays I’ve had when travelling in recent history. The apartment is faultless and is beautifully furnished and finished providing guests with all of the amenities that they need for a comfortable luxurious stay. Beautifully decorated in a bright and airy style, it also has great eye for detail with a tasteful mix of modern and vintage and a lovely atmosphere within the location. The beds are extremely comfortable and the space is very large. Everything is top class! The owners were fantastically helpful and friendly and couldn’t have been any more welcoming to us. The location of the accommodation is within a 15 minute walk of one of the main tourist attractions on the island and all other attractions are accessible. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to returning for a longer stay. Thank you Claire. Exceptional accommodation with an exceptional host. Absolutely nothing.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful setting. Large well stocked kitchen. A bit far from convinces. The nearby restaurant doesn't open until 10:00 so I would suggest making a stop at the grocery store first
- Chanelle (9/5): Restful stay in a stunning location - The decor was beautiful. The bed linen was high quality. There were some bits in the fridge and cupboards for us to eat which was a nice touch. The views were astounding. It was a bit of a distance from the main vilage and it was challenging to get a taxi. The grounds of the house need to be finished.
- Bettina (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay at Claire’s apartment on Inishmore. The accommodation was beautifully furnished, very clean, and cozy. The view was absolutely breathtaking – truly unforgettable! Everything was as described. Communication with Claire was always friendly, easy, and quick. We can highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much, Claire!
- Ankur (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely spotless modern apartment with thoughtful decor. Excellent fuss free heating and cozy atmosphere. Clair is really a great host Nothing
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - It was a lovely place to stay at and we had absolutely everything we needed. Especially the sea view was absolutely stunning.
- Tim (10/5): Great space to relax from a day of sightseeing. - The space is wonderful. The location was a bit out there for a pedal bike ride, especially with the wind. No complaints.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anders (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious apartment, big kitchen and cosy living room with a spectacular view. Our host Claire were very helpful with tips and recommendations. Nothing to dislike.
- Gerri (10/5): Perfect for a quiet get away. Beautiful views. Lovely, modern and clean! - Absolutely beautiful. Clean, modern and great views. Not walking distance to the ferry.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Nice spot - lovely clean home with great views
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elexa (10/5): Gorgeous and clean space in a quiet area in Kilmurvey. - Claire was an amazing host. The space was so clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful and it was very nice to walk around in the area. You can get takeaway from Teach Nan Phadi and heat it up in the kitchen later on for supper to make things easier if staying for a short time. Several options to get to and from the apartment from Kilronan. It was a lovely stay. Highly recommend.
- Mary (9/5): A thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing stay. - The comfort, the decor, the views, the host were all wonderful. The cafe and food truck nearby were excellent . If one liked to go out in the evening for food or a drink it was not possible without getting a taxi . Those nearby all closed by 4pm. For us it was not a problem.
- Judy (8/5): Comfortable rooms and common areas. Nicely appointed and new. Beautiful views and quiet. - Very comfortable, roomy and newly decorated. It wasn’t within walking distance of a restaurant or convenient store. A little expensive to necessitate rides anywhere.
- Julie (10/5): Warm and inviting, cozy, great location, easy to communicate with host. - Claire's home is the ideal location for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The house is in the perfect location, is warm and inviting, and Claire was simply an amazing and accommodating host. I'd 100% stay again and was sad I didn't have more days there. The house was spotless, too!
- Naitik (10/5): Wonderful experience - Lovely place, had a great time staying here. The apartment is clean and very well maintained and has a nice view. Claire was very helpful with queries. Thank you.
- Magaly (10/5): Perfection, beauty and the companionship of the most friendly and smarter dog I’d ever met “Jack” , thank you !! - A brand new property with all that you need , wish and hope for , plus the owners and their families are absolutely amazing ! The horses and their dog “Jack” were the best part of my stay , I love animals , and when you get there you are surrounded by them ! I cannot wait to go back !
I recommend this place to anyone who wants a home away from home. I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer , I had already plans to be at different parts of Ireland, otherwise I would stay there for a month !!
- Christopher (10/5): Perfect. - Everything was wonderful. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. My family loved our visit to the Island. Hope to come back sometime! Thank you Claire!
- Marion (10/5): Peaceful haven in Kilmurvey - Loved my stay! The place was cosy, elegant and stylish, super functional, clean and quiet, with great view.
The host is super reactive and made the stay completely hassle free. I love staying near Kilmurvey to experience the real quiet of island life and this was perfect. Absolutely would stay here again!

More than we could have expected. The house was clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend it. It was located in the centre of the island which was perfect for cycling and sightseeing
- Siobhan (10/5): Beautiful spot for a family. - Was beautiful, clean and spacious. Close location to find the worm hole. Didn't realize the nearby restaurants are only open 10am-4.
- Anna (10/5): We had a lovely stay, great location and lovely accommodation. Highly recommended -
- Xinping (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (10/5): We had the most incredible stay with Claire & would go back in a heartbeat! - Everything! The location was amazing! Claire couldn’t have been more helpful, right from booking, restaurant recommendations, to the moment we checked out with a lift to the ferry.
- Martyna (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartment very close to the wormhole and Dun Aonghasa. Claire was a wonderful host who went above and beyond for us. Would definitely recommend!
- Cotter (10/5): Wish we stayed more nights. Fabulous place. - Location close to the nice beach was great. Place was in tip top shape. Beds comfortable and showers and bathrooms nice size and solid water pressure. It was a bit remote for us as our friends were staying in the main part of town and we only did a one night stay. I think for most people staying longer it would be the ideal location.
- Yaroslava (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): VERY SPECIAL! :-) - VERY SPECIAL! :-)
If you’re looking for a really comfortable break, away from it all; with stunning views and a cosy home-like feel…then Claire’s two bedroom apartment is made for you! A stone’s throw from the charming hamlet of Kilmurvey and from Dun Aengus itself. A magic spot that memories are made of!

- Eileen (10/5): Relaxing, enjoyable and memorable stay in this beautiful part of Inis Mor, Galway, Ireland! - Absolutely lovely and helpful host, Claire has a beautiful, clean and very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms with living room and kitchen space. We arrived on the very last ferry and were greeted with freshly made brown bread, tea and extras. We could only stay 2 nights but all of us would have loved to have stayed longer. The home is in a very beautiful, quiet area of Inis Mor with views of the ocean on one side and Dun Aonghasa on the other. Walking distance to Kilmurvy Beach, Cafe, ice cream shoppe and REAL Aran knit sweater shoppe plus the entrance to Dun Aonghasa Fort. Friendly family run property who were there for us, as needed. Shuttle ride to/from ferry and also a ride to dinner in Kilronan!
This is a 5+ star accommodation that I can’t wait to go back to visit again!
- Mc (10/5): The property was amazing, clean, comfortable, cosy and homely. The host Clare was amazing. - The property was clean and comfortable. Everything was there that we needed. Very cosy. Liked everything
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely apartment with beautiful views in a great location near the beach - The apartment was really cosy and well-kitted out and the beds were really comfy. It’s in a beautiful quiet location with great views near a lovely beach and a short walk to the stunning views from Dun Aengus. It’s a good base from which to explore the island if you hire bikes. There are also a few gift shops and cafes near the property which is handy. The host, Claire, was really friendly and accommodating. The apartment is a bit of a distance from Kilronan (about 4 miles) but there are a few options to get there. The hosts offer a handy shuttle service to and from the ferry port and can also drop you into Kilronan for the evening if you want to go out for food. We hired bikes when we arrived off the ferry and the bike hire people dropped our luggage to the apartment for us.
- Colette (10/5): Superb! - The property is beautiful, so clean and comfortable. The host was warm, friendly and very helpful.
We will book again for another trip and fully recommend this property and host. 10/10! No improvements required.
- Buitenhuis (10/5): The space was warm, well appointed and extremely comfortable- would love to come back! - The location was walking distance to the Fort, which is the main attraction on the island. The views from the rooms are beautiful of the ocean and the recently renovated space is bright, clean and modern.
- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous property, beautiful location and exceptional hosts. A must to stay in! - Beautiful, bright, amazing sea views, fabulous decor, clean while also warm and cosy. Great location near Dun Aonghus and Kilmurvey Beach. Perfect for sunny days or rainy days snuggled up by the fire. Claire, the host was absolutely lovely and couldn’t have done any more to make our stay better. The homemade brown bread on arrival with marmalade and jam was delicious. She even gave our little kids treats…They wanted to stay forever. She gave us great tips about the island. We also did the horse and carriage trip with her husband Martin who was very knowledgeable about the island. Would definitely recommend. Thank you both for such a wonderful stay. We’ll be back x
- Patrizia, (9/5): Superb - A brand new, tastefully furnished 1st floor apartment. Both bedrooms are ensuite, one with bath/shower and the other with a walk-in shower, both very spacious. The kitchen is equipped with the latest appliances and all the essential accessories for self-catering. The comfortable lounge is ideal for relaxing in the evening while enjoying magnificent views over Galway Bay. The location is perfect for exploring some of the most scenic spots on the island. There are great lunch options nearby, including a lovely cafe/restaurant and a good pizza truck. If you wish to have dinner in the main village a transfer can be organised.
The host, Claire, has been very welcoming and has given us plenty of tips for making the most of our time on the island.
Overall a wonderful experience. If you wish to go to a pub or a restaurant in the evening you'll have to arrange a transfer. However, if you wish to enjoy Dun Aonghasa cliffs and Kilmurvey beach after the crowds have left the island you are a short walking distance from both. Sunset at Dun Aonghasa is definitely an unforgettable experience!
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect place to stay with kids (or without!) - This is the perfect place to stay on the Aran islands with children. It is pristine, spacious, brand newly decorated, and very comfortable. Lovely kitchen to make dinner and comfortable sitting room with beautiful view to relax after children have gone to bed! Ideal location too, right near a really good cafe and a lovely beach - which is empty after 4.
- Madhusudana (10/5): Amazing... beautiful apartment in nature's lap.. Went with family and had a great stay - Everything. The apartment and host Claire and her support from the time we booked the apartment and till we checked out, was fantastic. She clearly explained all the micro level details so that we dont face problems during our stay. For a moment i thought is she an AI bot taking care of us so well...lol...but she is real and loving person. Wd definitely come back in future with family to stay. Nothing really much. Host Claire has taken care of everything and we were well informed
- Sophia (10/5): Absolutely wonderful stay in a spectacular property. - The suite was wonderful! We loved the luxury feeling, beautiful craftsmanship, and location of the suite. Also, the property is very close to some of the best sights on the island, and a delicious restaurant. Claire and her family (the hosts) were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this property! Nothing.
- John (10/5): Clean, new, gorgeous, and very kind host. Top notch. - Great location, new apartment tastefully decorated, and Claire is a very kind, accommodating host who helped us throughout our time on the island. N/A
- Fergus (10/5): Exceptional - The property was excellent. A lovely host who drove us back to the port in the morning. Gracious, friendly, and a beautiful property. Highly recommended
- Simpson (10/5): Magical break from everyday life - The entire stay was perfect, including the location within a short stroll to the beach, craft village and great restaurant. The apartment has been beautifully decorated, and contained all the necessities for a self-catered stay. Absolutely nothing to be improved upon.
- Therese (10/5): A lovely cosy cottage on Inis Mór - A beautifully situated renovated cottage in Kilmurvy - with stunning views of the sea and of the ancient ruins of Dún Aonghasa. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and well-stocked with all appliances/supplies you might need. The host Claire is so friendly and helpful. Its a cycle/drive from Kilronan but we enjoyed the quiet in the evenings. Would recommend as a base for exploring the amazing Inis Mór. -
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, newly decorated apartment
Fantastic views , beautiful bay window. Situated near Dun Aongus
Highly recommend. Make sure to get any groceries before you leave Kilronan. No shops nearby, however there is a wonderful cafe very close to apt
- Adelide (9/5): Superb - Lovel, lovely spot located close to Dun Aengus ticket office and surrounds if that's where you would like to be based. Very comfortable, well appointed, clean suite with incredible views! Host left us a lovely homemade loaf for breakfast which was an additional touch of class! Highly recommend Not the hosts fault but there was a power outage across the island on the morning of our checkout which created some delays/ water issues and worth noting that check out times are strictly enforced regardless. We would still go back in a heartbeat.
- Alan (10/5): Brand new apartment, very clean and well presented and hosts were very accomodating! - Great location, apartment was recently opened for stays. Very clean and well finished, well equipped kitchen and the living area was very cosy with a great view! N/A
- Emiliano (10/5): The best accommodation on Inishmore! - This place is absolutely fantastic, spotless, cozy and brand new. Also on a very convenient spot of the island, the perfect treat after a day exploring! Our host Claire was lovely and thoughtful, I would recommend to everyone Everything was perfect
- Rebecca (10/5): Wonderful property, beautifully decorated - Amazing location and gorgeous apartment with super lovely hosts xx
- Noel (10/5): Very pleasant peaceful in a very brand new and very pristine - The owner collected us and when got to our apartment
The owner left us a freshly baked Irish brown bread
That was a really nice gestures. The apartment very well equipped for self catering Nothing
- Katie (10/5): Absolutely beautiful apartment - Brand new stunning apartment. It’s very rare to find somewhere that looks better than the photos.
Lovely view from sitting room window, perfect for watching the sunset.
Claire the host was more than accommodating with all queries we had, including arranging bikes to be dropped to the house. She was quick to respond.
We were greeted with a homemade loaf of bread and the fridge was stocked with the essentials.
The apartment is fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay.
All the locals are friendly people.
Located a short walk from Kilmurvey beach and Dún Aonghasa Hill Forts and not far from the Worm Hole, both must sees.
2 minute walk from the thatch craft villages.
Only locals drive cars on the island but plenty of horse and traps/tour buses for tours around the island for those who may not want to cycle.
All round a great stay, would highly recommend and will be returning!
Bonus points for the friendly dog and highland cows! Couldn’t fault anything about the property
