I wish they had a designated smoking area away from the front of the rooms, we had heavy smokers on either side of us and every time we went outside they were out there smoking cigarettes, which was unpleasant for us and our kids.

• Aaron (9/5): A cozy stay in a remarkably spacious room! - Our stay at Even'tide was wonderful! We arrived later than anticipated, but were greeted by a cheerful, amiable staff member who quickly checked us in. She also introduced us to a number of restaurants nearby, guided us through local transportation options (we being out-of-towners), and was just a general joy. She helped make a long day of travel even better. If I recall correctly, the front desk closes by around 10:00pm, so be sure to arrive generously before then. Our room was incredibly spacious and well-equipped; just as described/shown in the Booking.com photo reels, even if the aesthetics were a little bit more dated. But no matter. Beds were large and comfortable, AC worked like a charm, shower water was clean and hot if so desired. Coffee and tea were served in the morning, and enjoyed that. The location was also great, embedded in the woods off a main highway, making it feel like a genuine plunge into the *real* Cape Cod rather than simply sticking around a tourist trap. Although some breakfast options would've been nice (no meals are served), it was no problem, as there were restaurants open for breakfast just a short walk's distance from Even'tide. Also would NOT recommend travelling there by bike - definitely go by car! We biked almost the whole way from Provincetown to the hotel; though Google Maps promised a pleasant 1.5 hour journey, in reality it took 3.5 hours (we ubered the rest of the way). Which is to say that Google Maps shouldn't be trusted for bicycle travel on the Cape. But this of course is not Even'tide's doing - it is Google's!

• Reba (10/5): Glad I stayed - I was a bit concerned that the room didn’t have a microwave to warm up leftovers. After calling the desk, I learned there is one in the main lobby. It wasn’t too far from my room. That issue didn’t end up being a problem for me. The room and property was MUCH CLEANER AND NICER than expected. I stayed for 2 days on technically “off season” and was solo so I didn’t use any amenities.
• RENEE (4/5): Cute place, great for kids, nice indoor pool, great location. Froze overnight. Surly staff. - The 3 Bed Cottage we rented was compact but cute with a small but well equipped kitchen. The indoor pool was great as was the location, just 10 minutes south of downtown Wellfleet. It was quite cold and windy during our one-night stay. When we arrived, we had to turn on the heat which took a few hours to heat up the Living Room to 72. The bedrooms had no heat and never got above the low 60's. When we went to bed at 11PM, we discovered that none of us had blankets - only a sheet and a thin bedspread. We slept in our clothes and piled pillows on top to stay warm. Upon check-out, I suggested they stock the cottage with blankets to which she replied that they have them at the front desk and we should have asked for them. Note that the front desk closes at 10PM. To add insult to injury, the refrigerator didn't work which we didn't realize until the morning so we had to throw out most of our food. The desk staff said it was probably the circuit breaker. It would have been nice if they had a pre-check-in checklist where they turn on the heat, check that everything is working, and stock some blankets in the broomcloset when it's cold out!

• Rosemary (10/5): A comfortable place to stay surrounded by many outdoor activities close by. - I loved the location of the property. Right behind the property was 25 miles of the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The motel had a beautiful spacious indoor pool. Also nearby is the Wellfleet Bay Audubon Sanctuary and other interesting places to hike . The motel was family owned and well cared for.

Cons: Cottages receive no maid service at all during your stay, and guests are expected to clean their own cottage before their departure. Overall a nice place, but the lack of any service at all was a disappointment.

The huge pool liner had golden rings around the shallow edge where the stairs are for entrance. Looked like urine. Maid service was very disappointing-leaving hair on the shower walls, no trash liner and the pull out bed was left open. The carpet was extremely filthy and slimy to the touch. Bare feet were black in a matter of minutes. The air conditioner had black mold in it and made the room smell disgusting. The window with the A/C until below it was slightly open and unlocked. The shower mechanism for hot and cold water was faulty making the water either boiling hot or lukewarm. Pretty disappointing for the hefty price paid.

Never heard neighbors upstairs or alongside, or stair traffic (and we were right next to the stairs). Didn't hear adjacent toilets or showers or TVs. Room (king deluxe) was small. Bumping into things small. Very small bathroom with standard height toilet (about 12" from floor). The size of the room and bathroom just cannot be helped. This motel was built in the 50's or 60's and size requirements were different then (I grew up on the Cape, so I know the motel standards of the time.)

We were able to get to Provincetown easily, and we found wonderful dining in Wellfleet. We’ll never stay anywhere else on the Cape.

• Linda (9/5): It was just what we needed. - The room was very clean and comfortable. It is in a good location, near a lit of places we wanted to go. The person at the desk was kind and helpful, with suggestions of where to eat dinner, given that it was off-season. We enjoyed our stay. Maybe a slightly bigger room?

• Clarice (9/5): I was a very sweet place to stay. Good for adults and children. - re: Bonus question #2: I was not aware that was available. #3 It was all wonderful. The only thing I was disappointed in was lack of a microwave in room.

• Gerald (10/5): Exceptional - The Even'Tide was low key, quiet, friendly staff, wonderful pool. The AC/fan blew right on the bed....a bit too powerful. I fixed it by draping a wrap & sweatshirt over the table which blocked the blowing. No problem.

Will come back again. - Slightly dater but charming and very clean, the sofa bed is comfortable unlike other many sofa beds It’s a bit dark at night so it’s a little difficult to go the laundry room in the dark. but that probably adds to It’s charm and character. Just don’t do the laundry when it’s a dark and rainy night, lol.

• Mary (8/5): Good location - expected more for price. - No breakfast. Loud a/c. Right above the bed. Loud fan in bathroom. Small bathroom. Thought we’d have 3chairs to sit in. Small bugs in kitchen. Thought we’d have a better outside space from ads.

• Donald (9/5): Superb - Great housekeeping. It was very clean with attention to detail. There were lots of things one could do to make one stay fun. A large swimming pool and lots of outdoor activities are available. It is located in a nice woodsy place backed just far enough from the main road. There's not much to not like. There were a small amount of ants on the counter. but enough of an issue to make our stay anything but enjoyable.
