Guest Reviews
- PRIYANKA (10/5): Gem of a place! - Hosts were lovely, place was clean, parking was great. Lovely rural walks near by.
- David (9/5): Perfect for our overnight stay -
- reda (10/5): - It was heavy, quiet, I will definitely come back.
- Krista (9/5): Overall a great stay. Very comfortable and spacious. Tony was friendly and made us feel welcomed. - Everything that you would need for a short stay is included at the property.
Clean and airy. Upstairs is a bit musty. It was possibly more noticeable because the weather was so hot.
Could use a bin upstairs as well.
- Suzanna (10/5): Absolutely amazing - The location is just stunning, it is a cool place to be in the heat The wet room is a little tired in places, but it is clean and well presented
- Helen (7/5): Handy for Fraiche over the road. - Conveniently located for the Michelin starred restaurant nearby.
Comfortable spacious apartment. Minimal kitchen facilities.
- Louise (8/5): - Lovely location, the owners were very helpful and friendly.
Very comfortable.
- Hillman (10/5): Extremely pleasant, will be doing an overnight again. - Very friendly hosts, house was beautifully clean and smelt gorgeous. Bed and bed settie were very comfortable which is a bonus. Ideal location, glorious countryside. We were only there overnight as we were visiting friends. The garden/drive were gated so safe for our dog. Kitchen had everything we needed, lovely wet room as well. Something that couldn't be altered and wasn't a problem for us but to be aware of. The loo and kitchen are downstairs. So anyone who struggles with stairs may want to consider this.
- Wendy (7/5): A very pleasant stay - The apartment was very comfortable. Hosts were very helpful with local ameniteis. The secure gates/enclosure is superb as we have a dog, which was made very welcome. Lovely countryside walks in the area
- Karen (10/5): Excellent location with good facilities - The house is spacious and comfortable. Great location close to aqueduct walk (definitely worth doing), has a washing machine and dryer available. Tony was an excellent host. We were unable to lock front door.
- Suzanna (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing, quiet and dog friendly - Location, layout and friendly hosts Nothing

- Aly (8/5): Iittle trip to Oswestry area - Location, parking, friendly hosts. Great wifi. Ideal for a visit to the area. Quiet and best sleep I've had in ages. No vanity bin in bedroom so a long trip to the kitchen for waste items.

- P (9/5): A lovely, quiet & convenient find - Location was really nice & quiet with lovely views and convenient for where I was working, just 10 minutes away. Host was welcoming & friendly and I had everything I needed. The little house was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable, really nice duvet & pillows! I was able to take my dog with me too, he was also welcomed and enjoyed his stay. Would stay again.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Star Shams (5/5): Wish we had a better experience - Location, near major towns we wanted to visit. Quiet neighbourhood. Good WiFi. Tom the owner was friendly and respectable man.
Since I retired from the university, I travel a lot and use booking.com in most of my travels. This house has great potential, but it definitely needs more care. It seems the house was not cleaned from the previous occupiers.
The pillow cases of the extra pillows in the wardrobe were very dirty, they smelled and had human dribble on them. The sheets were dark grey so it was not easy to tell if they were washed.
There were dead flies and wasps on the window sills, under the table in the living room and inside the light shades.
The rug was dirty and we had to vacuum the whole house.
The bedroom carpet had serious burns and the wardrobe was broken from the side.
There was no hairdryer, and when asked for one, they did not offer one. Every property should have a hairdryer.
There was no stove.
- Breen (9/5): -
- Carl (9/5): Ace detached property - Detached so very private and spacious with everything needed provided
Big lounge
Great pub 5 mins walk
Local taxi firm great N/a
- Charlotte (8/5): Great for an overnight stay - Good location to stay if going to fraiche as it's a 5-minute walk up the road. The surrounding area is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. Has a basic set up to allow you to self cater if you wish. The layout means the kitchen and bathroom are downstairs and the living area and bedroom are upstairs. This may affect those with poor mobility who get up lots in the night.
- Stuart (10/5): - The host was amazing, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. The house itself was very cosy, and its location was brilliant, lovely, and quiet and a short drive to various attractions
- Gemma (10/5): See you again soon - Was a lovely place to stay and peaceful x
Will be back soon.
Tony was so helpful and knowledgeable .
Definitely recommend.
- nick (8/5): Nice place to stay - The house was clean. The facilities were good.
Multifunction oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Tony lent us an extra airer to dry clothes in the sun. Also a tumble dryer Not much to say here, really.
Small thing: would benefit from a hob in the kitchen to boil or fry an egg for breakfast. Not a deal breaker.
- Shirley (10/5): Overnight stay - Location, well equipped, the most comfortable bed plenty of space . Dog friendly.
- ΗΛΙΑΣ (8/5): -

- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Tony was very accommodating of our needs
- Watson (10/5): Exceptional - Nice house, perfect for accommodating my two dogs. Friendly, helpful host. I would definitely recommend and book for myself again.
- Patricia (7/5): Does what it says on the tin - no more than that, could easily improve the stay with small changes - Small fridge would be handy upstairs, no bin upstairs, towels in cupboard upstairs when wet room is downstairs?? No chairs to sit downstairs, for a quick cuppa or bite to eat. Hallway is a wasted space. Nowhere to put toothbrush, or shower gel etc. I think owners would definitely benefit of spending a couple of nights in the property, to see how so many little changes could make this a much more user friendly stay
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Everything exceeded expectations
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Lovely location, very peaceful, excellent for visiting local attractions, large rooms, enclosed safe garden for dogs.
- Naylor (10/5): Great for a couple - Lovely quiet surroundings in an interesting area. The place is ideal for a couple. It was very clean and well looked after. Tony our host was very welcoming and informative. A great place to stay to explore the local area.
- Julie (10/5): Perfect get away. - This is perfect for peace and quiet. Very good location for me to visit family. Well equipped with games to play. Very comfortable place to chill out. Tony was extremely helpful and polite. Will definitely be back to stay.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Comfortable, spacious accommodation. - Good location for our trip. Secure property in quiet neighbourhood. Spacious, comfortable accommodation. Limited cooking facilities
- Oxana (10/5): Great place! - We are very pleased with our stay in this house. The owner of the house was very kind, they met us and gave us the keys. The place is very picturesque, from the bedroom window we watched the sheep. In the evening we walked along the path to the forest, it was wonderful. Probably we will come next time with friends, to take a break from noisy London. Thank you very much!
- Adrian (8/5): Was ideal location for our needs. - Very peaceful location, with very good facilities. Mattress was a little hard.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - Very friendly owners who were happy to help with any enquiries but who also gave you privacy. Extremely dog friendly with a safe garden area and lovely wooded walks nearby.
The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and well situated to explore north Wales. It would have been helpful to have small bowls for cereals. Another suggestion is to provide a drop leaf table and stools in the kitchen so that meals do not always have to be carried upstairs.
- Angus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very polite, informative easy going and very kind. There was nothing to dislike......at all.
- Donna (10/5): Lovely little find... - Really lovely place, well equipped and comfortable beds. No negatives
- Darren (10/5): The guests were really accomodating and very helpful. would definitley recommend -
- Gillian (9/5): Superb -
- Jia (9/5): Superb -
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, nice and quiet.. Close to where I needed to be for my hike The pillows were mega soft which isn't for me but I guess that's personal preference. I don't like it when hotels or B&B's use dark coloured bedding. It should be white as then you can see if it's super clean. A dark purple wasn't good.
- Gwennan (8/5): Very good -
- Mubaiwah (9/5): Short and sweet - Quiet and beautiful
- Louise (10/5): Secure and safe - Perfect location for activities. Quiet, secure and dog friendly. Very comfortable location.
Lovely woodland walk where dogs can run less than 10 minutes walk away.
Lovely kitchen downstairs, spacious sitting room and bedroom upstairs, all really well presented. Host lovely and helpful.
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent communication and really helpful throughout booking confirmation through to departing the property. -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (6/5): Great value for money stop over. - Host was great. 👍
- John (10/5): Great house in a quiet, convenient location. - The location was quiet and really convenient for Chirk where I needed to be for a family event. Great view of fields and sheep from the main bedroom! The only possible suggestion I'd have would be to maybe share the what3words for the location, since Google Maps took me to a road over half a mile away. Michelle and Tony helped me with brilliant directions to find the house from where I ended up!
- Caldicott (9/5): Home from home - The property was clean and spacious and very easy to find, for a longer stay it would be a real home from home. Tony greeted us on arrival and showed us around., very friendly and just told us to knock next door with any issues. The pull out bed in the lounge was very squeaky.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and peaceful
Saw sheep in the field
Wi fi good for my kids Nothing
- Davies (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Very welcoming and cosy. - It was a complete little house including all the appliances. Nice and quiet in an estate. Took quite a meandering single country lane to find it - which was fun in Winter. Some distance from any shops. Not too bad as all the sites are quite a distance apart.
- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (9/5): Superb -
- Lyndsey (10/5): Excellent hosts and will look forward to returning - Excellent location for visiting Fraiche restaurant
- Rosie (10/5): A marvellous port in a Storm - Have been for a nights stay to collect our pup. On the worse days, weather with the storm . Michelle and Tony couldn't have been more caring as hosts . The house is immaculate , with all you need . Close to some , lovely locations we will be back in Summer to explore . Fabulous place to stay . Nothing regarding the little house . Or hosts .
- Jorge (10/5): Very cosy and clean! - Everything we needed was available and very spacious!
- Matty (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Really nice little house. Nice owners. Would 100% stay again and also recommend to anyone travelling the area. - Property has everything you need. Modern, clean and comfortable. Met one half of the owners on check in, super nice guy showed me around and how things worked. Really quiet, nice area. Couldnt connect to the wifi for some reason but had absolutely no bearing on the stay.
- Krystian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): Perfect if ever in area again will definitely try book again - Lovely place very homely
- Gina (8/5): See you soon - So welcoming and helpful
