Guest Reviews
- Stephen (8/5): Good value and great location - Location, pool, Smart TV, undercover parking, good sized couch, garden Bed a bit small, poor quality dishwashing liquid, bbq hard to light
- Samuel (6/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Ayla (5/5): The above elements significantly impacted on our overall experience. Feedback was offered diecetly to the management pri - Location was perfect, close - easy walk to beach and town. It wasn’t very clean- the balcony was very sandy, and we also found a dad cockroach on the main bedroom pillow, which was a little confronting. Due to the short stay and being New Year’s Eve, we chose to clean them up ourselves.
The courtesy ‘arrival’ package was very basic and insufficient for a 2 nights stay:
one- single use sachet of dishwashing detergent
a bin liner
a tea towel
Two tea bags and two coffee sachets
The option was provided to go to reception and purchase more, however, we felt enough should have been supplied for the duration of the stay- at premium, peak season rates.
No shade over the pool made it pretty much unusable during the peak of the day heat between 9-4pm.
- Aaron (10/5): - Location and communication with staff The pillows
- Caroline (10/5): Peaceful relaxing - Beachfront location
- Robyn (6/5): Great location! - The location was excellent! So close to the beach and short walk to the central area of Port Douglas shops and restaurants. Its a shame the unit was so dated. This came as a shock according to the photos shown. Our stay was still very enjoyable but the unit itself does need updating.
- DAVID (10/5): -
- Peter (3/5): Good location. Competent, friendly staff. Cramped apartment did not match what we had ordered. - The location was perfect and the staff were friendly and competent. The apartment was not as portrayed. It was cramped, much smaller than expected. The confirmation I recieved indicated that there was a separate bathroom and an additional toilet as well as the private bathroom. There was not. The private bathroom was about a metre wide. An alternative apartment meeting the specifications was not available.
- Stephen (7/5): -
- Fiona (10/5): -
- Rose Oplado (4/5): This accommodation is a residential property & is managed by Beaches Port Douglas stay there instead - Location is really good if you want to stay near the beach. I do not like the noises around the apartment. Smoke alarms going off during dawn. We were on the ground floor and could hear the loud footsteps from above us. At some point during our stay, some residents scheduled renovation of their property at 7am on a peak season without notice from the bodycorp or guests staying at the apartments. Guest parking being used by the renovation team.
Also, bring mosquito repellants if you are going to have breakfast in the garden.

- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (7/5): -
- Bev (9/5): Great place for a restful holiday - Beautiful swimming pool. A great place for families to holiday. Right beside 4 mile Beach. Easy walk to the shops. Easy parking. Staff were super helpful in fixing an electrical problem on our first night Too much security lighting on all night.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - The cleanliness and setup. The location is excellent & reception staff helpful. The apartment is a bit dated and the bathroom is very small, although quite functional.
- Chantelle (10/5): Great location, awesome heated pool and nice size apartments at the Beaches - We booked at Beachfront Terraces and due to the unexpected plumbing noice we were upgraded, a big thank you to Mitchell who looked after us and made our stay comfortable! The bathroom was a bit smelly
- Tessa (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, had a great view of the beach. Really spacious apartment, loved the pool facilities
- Tim (7/5): Good - Great location across the road from the beach and short walk to shops and restaurants Bedroom and bathroom very small, bed was hard and uncomfortable. Had to do some sweeping around sliding door and patio, out door table was not clean.
- Paul (8/5): Great stay with views of Four Mike Beach and the beach was only a minute away - Our stay at Beachfront Terraces was great. Perfect position so close to the beach, cafes, redtaurants and shops. The apartment had everything required. Bed was very comfy. The only downfall was the bathroom. Although the shower was good the washbasin was tiny and wasn't really ideal. Apart from that would recommend. The bathroom was too small and no shelving for toiletries. Couch wasn't very comfortable
- Lynne (8/5): Very good - Great location. Lovely pool.
Everything we needed...... kitchen well equipped. Bathroom very small.
Older building.
- Tracy (9/5): Superb - Location to the beach and main street was amazing. The apartment was very clean and tidy. Although we had issues with the dishwashing flooding and not working during our stay. Allocated undercover parking was fantastic. Shame renovations where NOT completed to the terraces at the front that was a little disconcerting upon our arrival walking past to reach our apartment and made us not feel very good on what to expect. To our pleasure our apartment was in great condition. and even had the bathroom renovated too. An email to advise the appearance of construction to the front terraces would have been good before arriving to ease our mind. We enjoyed the location and the apartment, there is really not much we did not like expect the hand washing up ha ha. a very temporary problem on this occasion. The reception was fast to action a repair man on the day advised so I am sure this would not be any problem for the next visitor to stay.
- Maria (10/5): Amazing! thank you - Everything was great!! the location and room were wonderful. Fiona at reception was great and helped us a lot with organising tours and transfers. We weren't aware that in our apartment, the main bedroom didn't have a door, but it wasn't a big issue. Also, maybe I would recommend a toilet near the pool so we don't have to run to the room if needed.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (9/5): Turned out very well with no wifi but beautiful town - Right away we were given another unit it was good. Small Patio right across street from beautiful beach. Great location Port Douglas is a beautiful small town. Pool was clean jacuzi was never even warm Wi Fi not good. First unit had one air cond in the bedroom and it smelled of mold.....
- Sharon (9/5): Very comfortable would stay again - Spacious, very clean, had everything we needed. Nothing to dislike
- Karen (8/5): Very pleased with our choice of accommodation, and with our choice of Port Douglas. - Very helpful receptionist and great location near beach. Weak wifi. We don’t go on holiday to sit on our phones, so spending four times longer than necessary getting essential info for planning excursions because the wifi keeps dropping out is really annoying.
- Sarah (10/5): We will be back - Great location. Great pool. Coffee shop on corner. Opposite beach. Room a little old and creaky. Thin walls. Very noisy.
- Simon (9/5): Charming apartments close to beach - Very good service with friendly staff and phenomenal pool area. Loved the AC and celing fans too. The apartment is in need of a little update like better pans and other kitchenware and maybe some dispensers or shelfs for the bathroom but all this is just small stuff. It didn't impact the stay at all:)
- Wade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arianne (8/5): Excellent pool and location - Great location, walking distance to everything. Lovely warm pool often empty. Only improvement would have been a dishwasher in our apartment
- Katrina (6/5): Dated but spacious, clean and comfortable. A few options for sitting outside overlooking the gardens - The queen bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. Being opposite the beach was lovely listening to the waves at night. Great location and walking distance to Macrossan Street. It’s a dated property although there were quite alot of renovations going on in other apartments. Although our apartment was old it was spacious and reasonably clean. If the location is more important than the appearance of the apartments then it’s fine and is probably reflected in the price. If you’re planning to spend more time out than in then it works. On the back deck of the apartment workers renovating other apartments had left gyprock and tools and moved the outdoor furniture so we felt we couldn’t really use that area. There was also a lot of dust from cutting gyprock about.
- Janice (7/5): Good - Very poor wifi. Had to go to public areas for reception which was not good in heavy rain and at night.
- Susan (5/5): Lovely staff and lots of effort went into providing us with info ahead of time and on arrival. Almost too much communica - Great location, being across from the beach and easy walk into the Main Street of shops. Bit tricky to find as the name on the sign at the property does not match what it is called in booking.com and google maps.
Also no reception of its’ own, combined with next door property of different name.
Bathroom is tiny, very tight to navigate, even as a petite female. Bedroom was pretty small and bed & pillows were not overly comfortable. couch was tiny and uncomfortable. I Expect that in a hotel but a self contained unit you expect to feel like a home away from home.
Parking space was quite narrow/bit tricky to get in and out.
Pool was quite average, spa was useless - colder than the pool and a few heya that squirted upright ..
Bathroom was not super clean - dusty and spider webs in window, door to shower bit broken and hard to close, no lock on door.
A camper parked out the front and blocked our sea views for a whole day/night of the 3 we were there. No fault of the hotel but something to be mindful of which room you get of ground floor and laying extra for the view.
Cleaners woke us up at 7am with a loud bang as they tried to enter the property before we had vacated when we had already confirmed we would checkout around 10am.
- Päivi (9/5): Superb -
- Rod (9/5): Superb - great location nil
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (9/5): Great location. Comfortable and clean room - Location was excellent. Across the road from 4 mile beach and within walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. Small pool. Small bathroom. No security screen door on terrace door opening out onto The Esplanade.
- Adi (7/5): Great location, pricey for the quality of the place - Location A bit run down. Late check in and no toilet paper. Shops all closed. Not a great start
- Peter (8/5): in most respects exellent - beach, bed, location EXCEPT no warning on the number of steps from car park - I have had an operation and would not have booked this room if I had known. There were no staff to take bags up/down- very inconvenient - should have been warned!! steps and lack of warning
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (8/5): Perfect location! - Third stay at the apartments as they location is just perfect.
- Nicholas (5/5): A disapppinting lack of loyalty or empathy, but a great location. - The location is absolutely second to none opposite the iconic and magnificent four mile beach Sadly a complete lack of empathy or flexibility for assisting with flexibility of amending the booking to another date due to a family member being taken ill. Extremely disappointing after so many stays at this property over the years.
Poor security (ie locks) on the doors and windows of Beachfront Terrace apartments needs attention in this day and age - the current “snib” models don’t exactly shout confidence or safety.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Lesley (5/5): Passable -
