Guest Reviews
- Kelsey (10/5): I would recommend Kookaburra Cottage to anyone and everyone - Kookaburra Cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Anything you could ever need was provided including a beautiful breakfast basket. Beautiful views and lovely staff. Everything was amazing
- Janet (9/5): Comfortable stay in a peaceful bushland setting. - The cottage was set in natural bushland with a delightful outlook and large verandah. There were outdoor and indoor dining options. Also plenty of breakfast provisions including: eggs, freshly baked bread, croissants, jams and fresh fruits.
Firewood was provided for the fireplace: excellent on a cool night. And only a 5 minute drive to town. A little more night lighting perhaps.
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Anneli (10/5): Beautiful spot! - The finishing touches that were provided made for a super comfortable stay Nothing we thought of - we had a very comfortable stay
- Lynne (10/5): Everything was perfect - Everything was perfect Nothing not to like
- Claudia (9/5): Beautiful cottage and a beautiful location - Kookaburra Cottage is a lovely secluded cottage with all the amenities you could need. The full sized kitchen and two separate bedrooms and bathrooms is ideal with young kids. The overall layout is great! The owners were very friendly and so wonderful, providing a portacot & highchair for our 1 yo and went the extra mile to put our additional recycling from Christmas gifts in the bin for us. The breakfast hamper was fantastic and filled with so many great items- eggs, milk, yoghurt, jams, fruit, pastries etc!! The homemade loaf of bread was also a winner. The cottage also has a very large covered deck and covered carport area which are nice features. I would highly recommend this cottage. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Unfortunately it took awhile to warm up and turned cold on and off during showers - this was without any other water source going. The cottage uses tank water only, so understandable - however something to keep in mind if you enjoy nice hot showers.
- Wendy (10/5): - Breakfast baskets was very good
Had muffins,croissants,bread and pastries
Fruit eggs jam Not much
It’s a very relaxing place
- Paul (10/5): Peaceful and Private Getaway - Woke up to birds and a stunning lake view. Beautiful, secluded spot. The hosts provided a fantastic breakfast with fresh bakery items, eggs, and cereals. Perfect for a quiet escape.
- Kendell (9/5): Thank you Linda and Antony - the breakfast hamper is generous and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and felt very - The location is close to town - you can enjoy a walk there! Good size cottage for two couples. Kitchen had everything we needed. Breakfast included which was lovely!
- Lauren (10/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the world, made even better by great hosts and a lovely stay - We were greeted with a lovely food hamper on arrival. My name was clearly on the wall outside and as we walked in we knew we were going to enjoy this trip to Maleny. Everything was very clear from the start and the hosts are great. Nothing - we were really happy with everything from start to finish.
- Kate (10/5): Just as advertised - Just as advertised! Lovely, private cottage in a peaceful setting. Fresh bread and hamper on arrival was yum. Great to have the option of fire or heat pumps. Hosts were excellent. Loved the chickens. No negatives but it might be good for some to know that the short driveway is steep and undulating. Cottage didn't get much sun in early July, so sitting outdoors wasn't really a goer.
- Kate (10/5): We loved being nestled in the bush in our cosy cottage. - The property was immaculate and the location was beautiful. The cottage was perfect for the 5 of us, spacious but also cosy. We arrived to a beautiful food hamper and spent the afternoon on the gorgeous deck looking at the lake. Close to town so also convenient. The fire kept us warm and the kitchen equipped with everything. Nothing! It was great
- Julie (8/5): Highly recommend Kookaburra cottage for a short stay in Maleny. - Breakfast hamper was fabulous. Lots of timber for the log fire and replenished quickly on request :) Main Bedroom: The bedside lamps were insufficient for reading in bed - need to be brighter.
The airconditioning unit was quite noisy.
- Syvahna (10/5): Incredibly comfortable and homey. - The hosts were absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful, the cleanliness was outstanding and everything was so well thought out Nothing! It was perfect
- Paul (10/5): An amazing experience. Thankyou very much! - The place was clean and host were great with communication. The welcome hamper was unbelievable and enjoyed by every member of the family. Nothing to dislike here.
- Kerry (10/5): A beautiful place to stay for a tranquil break. - We stayed in Kookaburra cottage, one of three set in a lush bush landscape above a pond. The cottage was super clean, beautifully furnished and with everything we could need. The breakfast basket was full of lovely food and so thoughtfully put together. It was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay. Really only the hardness of the mattress, but this is due to our bad backs. We would certainly stay again but might try to bring a topper for the bed.
- Samantha (10/5): Our stay was absolutely wonderful. - We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The cottage was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the location was perfect. The thoughtful touches, like the welcome basket and the stocked kitchen, made us feel right at home. We truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend their place to anyone! We can't wait to stay again There was nothing not to like about the property.
- Adetutu (8/5): Very good - Loved the view of the lake, excellent location for bird viewing.
- Sah (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, quiet setting Our bed was very hard...
We had a big ute, so parking was tight, but we managed 😊
- Lacey (10/5): Exceptional - Great place close to town .loved the goodies basket
- Catherine (10/5): WOW - A beautiful cottage in a stunning tranquil setting. I loved being immersed in nature . The accommodation is superb and I wished I could have stayed longer- a fabulous breakfast is supplied and I will definitely come back. Only a little thing. I would have liked some pre arrival instructions.
