Guest Reviews
- Sarah (8/5): R&R - Lovely location.
Peaceful, overlooking a lake. Tea, Coffee & sugar on arrival would have been a nice touch.

- Amy (10/5): Brilliant stay in a lovely location. Everything you need in this lodge for a relaxing break. Thank you- we’ll be back! - Everything you need for a great stay. We’ve stayed on this site many times in different lodges and all have been brilliant, but the cleaning was exceptional in this lodge! Thank you for a great stay over New Year. Nothing to not like but short on glasses (plenty of plastic).

- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Lovely cabin in good area to visit York. Kitchen well equipped and hot tub was perfect. Had a stunning view of the lake. Nothing
- Andrew (8/5): Excellent park and restaurant. Cabin wasn't as clean as expected, main bed wasn't comfortable - Location, hot tub, golf, dog friendly, restaurant. Cleanliness on arrival, main bed uncomfortable, missing plates / glasses

- Tracey (7/5): Good - The property was nice. We made use of it, and the hot tub was delightful. All in all we would attend again. The location was very nice unfortunately our children experienced a little bit of rasicsm in the playing area which was disappointing. However, the facility does not have any control over that encounter.
The furniture is cream, not a colour that is user-friendly. As there was stains on the cushions in the bed room.
We had to pay a deposit for damages of £200, which there were not any at all as I would always take pictures and vidoe evidence of how we left the property and to wait nearly 14 days for a property inspection is far too long.

- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (9/5): Great relaxing stay, enjoyed going into York - Loved the hot tub and the quiet surroundings

- Samantha (5/5): Slept in someone else's piss for 300 quid - Beautiful grounds and lodges. Broken dining chair, I'm disabled and as my carer helped me onto the chair the 4th leg off the chair was unstable and I ended up falling backwards. Luckily my carer managed to break my fall. Master bedrooms toilet seat was not even connected to the toilet. Unfortunately we realised we had been left to sleep in previous lodgers urine for 3 days. On pulling the sheets back on check out there were 2 thick mattress toppers/protectors on the master bed and both were bright yellow in dried urine. Top sheet obviously being dry and clean. When I alerted the staff with videos and photos of the urine soaked sheets they apologised and offered me a discount on my next stay. I declined that offer . Id paid 300 to stay for 2 nights or relaxing lodge with hot tub and left covered in someone else's piss! Since I declined that offer they haven't responded to any further emails. DISGUTING!!!

- Rachel (7/5): Good - Beautiful lodge and onsite restaurant jjs was lovely Power cut for 8 hours with no communication at all. Staff in reception very young and inexperienced..not very welcoming or helpful
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the how the park was set out. The water features were lovely. The Lodge was spacious and well set out. On the whole it was clean and tidy, with a washer/dryer, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Lovely bathrooms and plenty of storage.
- Hannah (10/5): Realaxing peaceful stay - Gorgeous interior, comfy and warm and hot tub was clean and warm too!
JJS restaurant on site was amazing, food was amazing and lovely atmosphere.
Visted lots a beautiful towns and villages on our three night stay and would love to return one day. Hot tub and views of the pond. Interior decor was stunning
- Lesley (7/5): Very nice apart from heating - Food was beautiful ,aate all meals at cafe ,very good No heating on so first night really cold and uncomfterble, put towels on bed to try and keep warm.took ages to find heating and how to work boiler didn't go in hottub because of it
- Charlotte (7/5): Lovely lodge just need to include some basic items. - A lovely, well presented lodge and good private hot tub. We’ve stayed in lots of lodges at Allerthorpe and were disappointed this one did not have basic items such as oven gloves, washing up liquid and some kitchen utensils.
Also found two large pieces of broken glass on the living room floor so cleaners need to make sure they check more thoroughly!
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful cabin - Beautiful cabin. Lovely and clean and also well situated.
A good walk from the restaurant but after the amazing food we needed the walk back.
We would highly recommend the lodge. Not far from York or Leeds, so was absolutely perfect for us.
- Paul (8/5): Generally excellent other than the heating issue which was resolved the next morning. - Location was very nice. Food excellent. Service excellent Hot tub excellent. Central Heating issues the first night meant the lodge was freezing and none of us had a good sleep.
- Maxine (8/5): Just a few things let it down. - Easy access to Pocklington. On-site staff where friendly. Nice view of the lake and could see hot tub from living room. Bathroom off main bedroom had a strange smell. Accommodation was cold when we arrived and took some time to find the boiler. Couldn't turn down the temp on the hot tub (control panel was locked).
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
