Guest Reviews
- MARIA (10/5): precioso apartamento, amplio y buena ubicación - el apartamento precioso, muy amplio, limpio y totalmente equipado es un cuarto piso SIN ASCENSOR
- Elliot (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Plenty of space, comfy beds, and furniture. Plenty of tv channels, very clean and having that balcony patio on hot days, sure made a difference. The only negative was the amount of stairs to the top floor. Which was quite challenging after a busy day exploring the city or when checking in and out with luggage.
- Julia (9/5): Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. - Such a lovely apartment and in a fantastic location. We had a brilliant stay and would definitely stay here again next time we visit Berlin!
- Stewart (7/5): Great location and potential - spoiled a little by being dirty. - Great location, generously sized apartment. One bedroom is a mezzanine open to the living & kitchen space - feasibly easy to figure that from the pictures, just commenting for others. The whole apartment was long-term dirty, not just skipped one clean. Shower doesn’t drain due to so much hair from previous guests, and generally the place needs a bit of maintenance.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carby (9/5): Superb -
- Andre (10/5): Great accommodation located centrally - Only 13 minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof and about the same to the Brandenburg Gate, so very central. The facilities are excellent - great kitchen, lounge and dining room. It has a full bathroom and shower with a separate sexond toilet. A Lidl supermarket is a short walk away., so very convenient for food shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is up four flights of steps, so you need to be mobile. We are 75 and 72, but did not find it a problem. There is an outdoor rooftop garden with a table and chairs. We found it a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Nothing
- Andrena (5/5): Defo not value for money! Disappointed with the stay. - The location was good. Approx 10 min walk from the gates. Supermarket just around the corner. This was an expensive place to stay. Thousand euros for three nights so I expected it to be higher end. I stay in hotels in London and pay less for better. There is no lift and you have 9 separate flights to climb. With luggage or shopping it’s tough every day esp if anyone has health concerns and in the heat of summer. The beds were dreadful as were the pillows. You get one super flat pillow each. We had to use the cushions of that sofa to help. The mattresses horrid. The upstairs bedroom is a mezzanine. If you have any back issues you can’t use it. My husband had to crawl in and out of the room as at 6 foot he couldn’t stand. You can dress or get ready up there at all and of course no wardrobe. It’s also so hot being open at the top! It has a rubbish floor fan that we struggled to get to work plus as it’s a floor fan you don’t have it blowing on you. There are no ceiling fans and no fan at all for the living room so you are so hot, at all times! We slept dreadfully for the 3 nights. The kettle leaked. We put up with it (we let the owner know) but it blew the electrics in the end. We let the owner know this too and asked where the trip box was to reset it as we couldn’t find it anywhere. We contacted him via Booking com and using the two phone numbers he gave. He didn’t get back until the afternoon (this is from 8:30am) and we were out. By the time we got back the fridge had been of all day and we had to throw our food out. The dishwasher is a struggle to push in and out and needs sorting. The hairdryer is rubbish (take your own girls if you have long hair.). The place is dated and grubby in parts with the decor needing to be repainted etc. We tried to contact the owner about a few things and apart from the electrical trip he never got back so that was a concern should you really need him. I think had we have paid half the price it would have been acceptable but we paid good money for three people for three nights and therefore it fell well short.
- Klaus (8/5): A great place, still good even under unfortunate circumstances - Museum Island, the Charité Medical School, a wide variety of restaurants and a multitude of cafés are in walking distance.
The rooftop location makes it bright space and there is a small outdoor terrace. It is very roomy and the comfortable areas to lounge, read and watch TV.
The landlord remedied, the discomfort mentioned below by volunteering a partial refund. Earlier occupants may have been partying a bit too much. Reportedly, one window was damaged as a result and some drainage was at times unusable.
The landlord is blameless in this regard, and clearly put forward his best effort to remedy the situation.
- Martin (9/5): Superb - Location and large living area. Nice and warm in the winter. Lots of stairs to get to the apartment and a bit of a chore to carry suitcases. But we did know this before booking, so it wasn’t a problem.
- Ana (10/5): A stunning and very spacious loft in a perfect location. - A stunning loft in a perfect location, very clear and detailed explanations from the host. A bit more lighting would have been welcome in the evening - otherwise everything perfect!
- Alp (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place to stay in Berlin
