- Kimberley jade cowens (9/5): Amazing value for money ! Would stay again !! - This adornment is beyond reasonable for where it is located . Well equipped with kitchen utensils , towels and bedding . Easy to check in . It was all okay … no complaints !
- Minna (2/5): Very disappointing - Proximity to St Pancras The building itself was so grubby, no pictures of building in profile to warn me. The flat smelled so strongly of synthetic fragrances which were dotted around the place including very strong synthetic fragranced washing detergent on towels and bedding. Couldn’t open my bedroom window as it opened onto an outdoor hallway next to their neighbour’s front door. The smart TV featured in the advertisement but none of the channels worked. The owner did not fix the problem so I let it go in the end. The shower/bath had black mould in it and part of the shower door was caked in dirt/limescale at the bottom.
- guoyan (8/5): - 位置棒极了
- Jesus Juan (2/5): Very expensive for the quality of the place, only good thing was the location - Location The place was in bad shape. Bathroom door didn’t close properly, shower didn’t have any pressure, lights went off randomly without any reason. Internet didn’t work and we couldn’t have Wifi connection through our stay.
- Sariah (6/5): Pleasant - The kitchen facilities were adequate. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable. The bathroom day didn't shut all the way. The tub/shower was way too awkward for getting in and out of. The sleeper sofa in the living room was SUPER uncomfortable.
- Alicia (1/5): Worst place I've stayed in London. - The location was central and close to the train. This property might be okay if you're staying for one night and don't mind not having the basics, such as WIFI and privacy. The main bed was comfortable enough, but don't risk your back on the sofa bed. This property is listed as having a lift, which is not entirely accurate as it only goes to levels 2 & 5, not 3 where the apartment is located. This wouldn't be a huge issue but I was staying with my mother who was not mobile. With a lot of difficulty, she managed to make it up to there but we immediately noticed the WIFI did not work. In the bathroom, the sink doesn't drain and the door does not close and therefore does not ensure privacy because you can see right through to the shower. I messaged the owners as soon as we arrived with these issues, and they tried to fix the WIFI remotely on the first day but this did not work. They said they would contact their colleague about the bathroom door but I never heard about this again. There is also no handle on the bedroom door.
After the first night my parents had to leave and book into a hotel that actually was accessible and where there was WIFI. I decided to stay as we paid quite a lot for staying there for 6 nights. The owner called me on the second night about the Wifi and said I could fix it by putting a SIM card found in the apartment into my own phone. I did not feel this was a secure option so I asked if he would come the next day to do it himself, which he agreed to. He did not come that day, and I only heard from him the following day asking if he can come at 9pm. Since I was alone, I didn't feel comfortable with a stranger coming over late and at that point it was the 4th night of me being there without WIFI, which I had needed for work. By that point I decided I needed to just leave, and I asked the owner if any compensation could be given since these issues weren't dealt with and it caused me extra money, which he refused. Apparently on the 5th night he went over to fix the WIFI but at that point I was gone. Hopefully he did that so that the next visitor doesn't have this to deal with, but I wouldn't risk staying there.
- Silke (2/5): Worst service for mediocre-flawed appartment (great location) - The location is great. The bed in the livingroom is terrible (like many times said in the earlier reviews) the bathtub is quite small and 3 out of 4 times there is not enough warm water to fill it. The light in the bedroom keeps switching of or doesnt go on at all. In the night sometimes the neighbour yells and curses very loud outside your window which is a bit scary.
But these are all things that would've been minor details. Were it not that the doornob on the inside of the bedroom just FELL OUT of the door (i noticed later this was mentioned already twice in earlier reviews. So it was strange that the owner said they didnt know this...) hence i could not open the bedroom door anymore where all my things ánd my bed were.
I told the owner this at 10 am. They had a whole day to fix it. At 7 pm they just told me bluntly they didnt fix it because they didnt find anyone. SO I COULNDT GET INTO MY BEDROOM?! I told them this. Then they told me to go to the appartment to make a video..... so i had to leave my friends and my evening to make a video of a doornob that i told them wont open.
WORST SERVICE EVER.
so eventually i found a way to fix it myself. They then said they were working on it but if you had a whole day, end that day with telling your guest that you are not going to fix it, thats just to late..
P.s. the people of the italian cafe across the street are the nicest people ever and they have the best postache croissants ♡
- Peter (7/5): Wonderfully located property but in need of some tlc. - Excellent location. Really nice area with access to excellent restaurants and shops. Tube station a 5 minute walk away. WiFi didn't work. This also meant that there was no television. Not a big deal for us as we were out and about a lot but is a serious consideration. Property in need of some tlc - loose fixtures (eg bedroom inside door handle not properly attached), and dodgy light switches in the bedroom and kitchen. Sofa bed not particularly comfortable. It would be useful if there was some sort of information booklet at the property.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (9/5): Superb - Great location with good shopping and eating possibilities. Very easy check in and check out.
Well-equipped and comfortable apartment.
- Rozita (8/5): Enjoyable - Very cosy. Good for small family No lift but its london
- Catherine (5/5): We made do but were disappointed. - the location was central as indicated and there was a Waitrose grocery store conveniently located close to the apartment. host was prompt in responding to queries. property was advertised as having a lift/elevator - we chose this property with that in mind because we were traveling with a senior - NOT Entirely true - yes a lift but only to the 2nd floor and apartment on 3rd floor - accessibility therefore not as advertised
not quite sure what type of apartment building this apartment is in - the building itself was quite run down.
property was not as clean as it should have been - old dirty raggedy area rug, dust on plants, dust in corners, mop and mop bucket in bathroom
beds not comfortable
washing machine smelled of mold
- Michael (3/5): Great location, not very good unit - The location is very good: walking distance to British Library, to British Museum, to St. Pancras station. Lots of restaurants in area. Street noise. Poor lighting- almost no light in bathroom.
Pull out couch, which was used as our second bed, was a torture chamber. A bar cuts across the middle of the sofa which made sleeping extremely uncomfortable and unsatisfactory.
The kitchen is lacking many essentials- no large frying pan, no spatula, no utensils that are suitable for teflon pots and pans, no bowl large enough to toss a salad in.
- Paul (10/5): Our stay was very enjoyable. If we had any issue, Moeman replied within minutes. Will definitely stay there again. - Location. Very nice neighborhood and neighbors. Poor air circulation.
- Ke (10/5): Nearby UCL,nice flat for family trip - 1. The landlord replied promptly and arranged the check-in properly.
2. The room was fully equipped; we stayed for three nights and mostly had our meals there.
3. There is a very convenient shopping center nearby the accommodation.
4. Each accommodation room has windows that can be opened for ventilation, creating a cozy atmosphere.
- Lois (5/5): Great location but disappointing flat. - The hosts were helpful and accommodating. The location is great. Nice washing machine. The appliances you need are there - microwave, electric kettle, toaster, etc. The main bed was a bit uncomfortable, but not terrible. The second bed was so uncomfortable as to be unusable. If you have the windows open at all, it's very noisy. Some things are just badly set up - in order to operate the ceiling fan and light in the bedroom, you have to climb on the bed. Wi-Fi is bad -- lots of buffering and intermittent outages.
- Pooja (8/5): Very good -
- Sarie (9/5): Convenient location. Good value. Extremely cozy. - The location was amazing. Very conveniently located by King's Cross. We walked over from the station. Many great restaurants and shops in walking distance. But not too loud at night with people on the street. The apartment is very stuffy inside in the heat of the summer. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and several windows in the front of the place but it wasnt enough to get circulation going and we found it much cooler outside the apartment in the. sun, than inside. Maybe add some additional fans inside the apartment for summer. Im sure its delicious in wintertime though.
- Silvia (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (1/5): Avoid! - Nothing The adjective Cosy used to describe this accommodation is misleading; dingy, scruffy, run down, all fit it much better.
Let’s start with the lifts. The owner ticked the box claiming that upper floors are accessible by lifts. True; just not the floor on which the flat is located. The lift stops at G, 2 & 5. The flat is on 3.
Next the condition of the place: if you are an aficionado of lower class British housing from the ‘50s and ‘60s then this is the place for you. Sash windows with broken sash cords, a bathroom door which doesn’t close properly, wash basins which take an age to drain, a solid plate cooker, not a light shade on any of the celling lights. A carpet in the living room with a turned up corner to trip you up. A bed with a mattress which gave up supporting bodies years ago and bedding which gave us second thoughts about using it. If the owner was going for shabby, he achieved it perfectly.
The modern washing machine and flat screen TV are a jarring note to the throwback look of the rest of the place.
There is a Brita filter jug but no indication of when the filter cartridge was last changed, so it is best avoided. The box of Surf laundry detergent is so old that the powder has fused into a solid mass.
A notice inside the front door says “Shoes off please.” Don’t. The bedroom floor is sticky.
A word about the neighbours. A gentleman who lives on the 5th floor proudly told us that he was relocated to the building because he caused so much trouble in his previous building.
In conclusion: a Premier Inn or Travelodge would be cheaper and nicer than this dump.
- Katherine (9/5): I would stay here again, gladly. - The flat is charming, located in a busy student neighbourhood, close to galleries, museums, restaurants, and the Russell Square tube, and an easy walk to buses to the hub. We were comfortable and it was easy to reach all our favourite destinations. We. felt safe, and we found a lovely pizza restaurant and a brilliant cafe only a few steps away. The street houses groups of foreign students, and there are joyous calls celebrating life and youth late into the night. It was a bit noisy in the living room, but also elating. Big city, full of energy. However, in the bedroom, the two-speed fan over the bed masked the noise. The elevator was being serviced, so we had to carry our suitcases down 3 flights, but this was an unusual circumstance. We are in our 60s, or this wouldn't have mattered. Even as it was, we were fine. Being a five minute walk to Russell Square Tube Station, where the Picadilly line takes you straight to the airport, more than made up for it.
- Cynthia (10/5): Good value in great location near Kings Cross - Quiet and safe area close to Kings Cross station
- Alejandro (8/5): Very good stay - Very good experience, very clean and does its job. The owner was perfect. The bathroom door does not close and is accordion type. The sofa bed does not fit a stretched person, it is very tight. It does not have an elevator and we had a third floor.
- Kerry (6/5): Whilst the flat is in a fantastic location close to Kings Cros station, I would not stay there again - Location was fantastic. The host was easy to deal with and responded promptly Booking.com listed apartment as having a tumble dryer when it didn't. Host advised he could not see it listed from his end and never advised the apartment had one.
Both beds (in particular the sofa bed) were very uncomfortable.
Windows were only single glazed so our daughter had trouble sleeping in main lounge due to noise on the street. One night there was excessive noise across the street until 4am.
Kitchen lacked basic kitchen utensils, dishcloth and chopping board. The host said they would order some for the flat.
- Piotr (10/5): Nice stay for 3 pers. Walking distance to metro and buses. 3rd floor, lift goes to 2nd. - Solid value for money. Not very fresh and may require some upgrades but fulfills all major needs. Easy check in and check out. Sofa in the living room is not super comfortable.
- Pat (6/5): Functional - Had a fantastic coffee machine and pods were provided. It definitely needs a good clean and some TLC
- Anthony (3/5): Unimpressed considering how much I paid. - fake plants everywhere. no dryer
- Emilie (10/5): We recommend !!! Very Nice stay in a quiet area ! We enjoyed the flat and the facilities -
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional - Property management was extremely helpful and responsive to questions. Close to King’s Cross and Russell Square Tube stations. Various restaurants, pubs, and cafes within walking distance. The property is the perfect size for 3 people with additional towels and linens provided. Wash machine was essential for a several week trip. More of a minor inconvenience it is close to a university so you could hear some people yelling from the street quite early in the morning.
- Randall (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. Simple but well equipped.
- Karenj4202 (10/5): A great experience, suitable for family stay. - Excellent location. Easy to access all nearby public transportation. And very close to restaurants and food stores, just walking in minutes.
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimkihong (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, cozy apartment
