Guest Reviews
- Jessica (8/5): - The property was easy to access and had everything we needed. We stayed during a cold weekend, the central heating and fireplace were greatly appreciated. Property contained a queen bed and two single beds, the queen bed probably needs to be replaced as it’s losing its support.
- Graeme (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kimberley Blue. In fact we intend to book again for next year! Thank you Carol for - We found the property absolutely wonderful in every way. That we had to leave!!
- Anonymous (9/5): Beautiful Home - The house was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. The spa bath was an added bonus and our son loved the courtyard. Beds were so comfortable and warm. We will definitely be booking this home again.
- Kylie (10/5): A relaxing, rejuvenating and comfortable stay. Looking forward to returning soon. - The house was comfortable, stylish, spacious and private. The gardens and outdoor space was lovely with lots of nice sit spots. The bathroom was exceptional. Definitely a highlight. Looking forward to returning again soon.
- Benjamin (9/5): Superb -
- Fussell (9/5): A delight - Everything was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. Perfect facilities inside, lovely garden outside.
- Matthew (8/5): Very enjoyable stay - The location was beautiful and was very close to lots of nice places to visit I don't really have any issues to speak of. Everything was great
- Bill (9/5): Great facilities and location even in mostly bad weather highly recommended -
- Noel (9/5): A relaxing luxurious stay that you would love to call home. - The accomodation was one of the best we’ve stayed in. The Host was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The location was beautiful and also quiet. The surrounds were very relaxing and the calibre of the accomodation was of an extremely high standard. The property was modern and historical, being renovated in a beautiful way to pay homage to the past and embrace the present. Some people may feel the lack of curtains on the large bathroom window and the open plan living areas might infringe on privacy, but, it didn’t bother us.
- Amy (10/5): wonderful option in the Blue Mountains - This house was just perfect for our family. The design and style were absolutely beautiful. Carol has thought of everything to make your stay comfotable. Comfotable beds with nice linens. Espesso machine. Instructions for all the appliances. Makes an ideal home base for the Blue mountains.
- Rebecca (9/5): Beautiful property with gorgeous gardens was relaxing - The house is stunning and side deck lovely to relax we were fortunate bit cooler and used the fire too. The kitchen was well stocked to use and spa bath n shower divine the gardens are gorgeous and would use the front firepit if cooler weather. The big glass doors from living area were lovely for light n opening up the space It was not made clear that the owner could be staying in the house also. We did not realise the house had a 3rd bedroom and a sunroom as her living quarters. This affected our stay as not feeling private. Bathroom was slippery and first showerhead kept falling out of its holder. The bathroom window and living area also for privacy covering for nighttime would improve greatly.the entryway steps wooden railing was not sturdy and felt unsafe to use.
- Elise (9/5): A beautiful spacious character home nestled in a quiet neighbourhood close to town and hiking trails - We love hiking at the nearby Govetts Leap so it was a great location with a very short drive to the hiking trails. A quiet neighbourhood. The home was stunning with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Modern kitchen and bathroom and the spa was perfect after a long day of hiking. Really nice being able to light a fire in the evenings. We would stay again if back in the area. Nothing to improve the experience.
- Shona (8/5): Wonderful house, owner staying in one wing. - Door was open so didn’t need to find the keys Queen bed was a bit lumpy.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - The drive certainly was a problem especially at night . This would put me off booking again.
- David (10/5): A beautiful stay and we'll be back! - A lovely house, a place you would like to own yourself! Everything high quality, spacious, stylish, comfortable and set in a lovely garden and in a nice leafy street.
- Melanie (9/5): Great host. Lovely house, clean, cosy and quiet. Great for a relaxing holiday and sightseeing. - Friendly and helpful host. Very cosy with the fire going in the house. Lovely morning sun in the living room. Warm and comfortable beds. Plenty of room to move and for each of us to have space to do our own things. Nice garden area and deck. Succinct instructions on how to use the home appliances. Quiet peaceful street not to far away from the main street and shopping area. Beautiful little town. Good position for sightseeing in the Blue Mountains. Nothing to comment on as our stay was lovely.
- Shaila (10/5): lovely place to stay and highly recommended for a nice weekend getaway. The spa was awesome. - the space of the house and very well maintained and clean. it was perfect
- Kellie (9/5): Beautiful well equipped property, with everything you need for a wonderful stay in the Blue Mountains. - A beautiful property, well equipped with everything you need. Large kitchen and living room. Fireplace and central heating. Nice linen. Large bathroom with spa bath. Cosy. Beautiful garden. Parking on site. Centrally located close to Blackheath and easy drive to explore all the Blue mountains. It wasn’t obvious in the booking process that the owner, although very lovely, inconspicuous and helpful if you needed her , lived within the house in close proximity to the main bedroom. The bathroom being a large open room , when showering is drafty. The second bedroom with 2 single beds has no room for luggage except under the beds. The central heating is excellent and cosy, but the owner has it programmed to come on at 6:30am , while you could get up and turn it on yourself, it was too cold to get out of bed to do so if you wanted to get up earlier. It would be nice to be able to get up to a house that’s already warm.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Location and fire and accommodation Driveway in wet conditions
- Sara (9/5): Cosy and comfortable retreat in the mountains - It was much bigger than expected, the fire was such a nice feature to have in the cold nights and the bathroom was outstanding!
- Farago (9/5): Superb - Lovely place to stay, very homely, clean and very cosy and everything was provided to cook if we needed to and with some pantry staples as well and plenty of linen and blankets. Loved the fireplace and the under-floor heating. The host greeted us on arrival and had already heated the house, which I thought was a lovely touch. One thing I didn't like was there were no windows coverings in the living area and in the bathroom. It would help keep the place warmer in winter.
- Greg (10/5): Delightful in every way imaginable, for a home away from home! - An absolute gem of a property! We used it as a base for our 4 night/5 day extended weekend in the Blue Mountains, to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We can honestly say the property exceeded our expectations, in every way. The old-world charm of the original cottage cleverly harmonises with the generously proportioned open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The ensuite with oversized spa bath is an exquisite luxury. The gardens are meticulously cared for and even though we didn't spend any time on the decks or outside area (due to weather and cold), they would be a delightful location to enjoy meals or beverages in warmer weather. The cottage is well appointed with all the necessaries, including a coffee machine (utilising coffee beans), comfortable furniture and a lovely fireplace we made good use of. Highly recommend this cosy and comfy cottage! Whilst the name is a great description, it is a mouthful!
- Rhianna (6/5): Lovely house during the day. Lack of privacy at night - The house is set in a lovely spot and has a beautiful garden with a sunny back deck off the kitchen area. The house is stocked with lots of useful amenities for your stay which made cooking for a family with small children very helpful. The main living/kitchen area of the property has beautiful big floor to ceiling glass doors that open to the garden. Unfortunately they do not have any blinds or curtains so at night anyone from the garden/back of the house can see in.
This also applies to the bathroom. The bathroom has been done as a large wet room with showers and large sunken bath. There is a large window looking out to the garden that is reflective glass during the day which is lovely. However, if you wish to bathe or shower at night be warned/prepared the glass is completely see through (as per photo) and there are no blinds/curtains provided by the host -even upon request. The window looks out to the backyard and the back fence where there are other houses.
- Jutta (9/5): Superb - It had everything you needed and more.
Very central location
Peaceful and quiet, very cosy
- Kwangjun (10/5): Exceptional - This place is located in a quiet area with easy access to the village. The house is spacious enough for a family to stay comfortably and is beautifully decorated, showcasing the owner's aesthetic sense. You can enjoy a lovely garden, which is meticulously maintained, and at night, you can see the beautiful stars from the deck, which you can open the door to. We arrived the day after it rained, so we were able to see the Milky Way. Fabulous!
- Tiina (10/5): Just wonderful. Would reccomend this plce to all my friends - Excellent facilities. Beatiful gardens. So private.
Loved the coffee machine and complimentary bottle of wine.
Beds comfy. Extra large spa bath overlloking the garden was blissful.
Great to have free access to Netflix.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Spacious living dining and kitchen area as well as outdoor deck Lovely light and sunny areas to relax and enjoy the house and garden
