Guest Reviews
- Anna (3/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Dirty Apartment, and Hostile Communication - The apartment was close to my school My experience with this apartment in Rome was incredibly stressful and deeply disappointing from start to finish.
My flight was delayed, and I informed the host 6.5 hours in advance that I’d arrive at 8 PM instead of 4 PM. He wanted me to pay a late check-in fee of 20€ (not mentioned anywhere) and when I challenged that, he said I need to pick up the keys an hour away from the apartment. After pushing back, I was told to contact a third person. What followed was a chaotic 3.5-hour ordeal. I was passed between the host and a so-called key-holder, sent to different train stations in Rome, stood up multiple times, and even had to involve the local police—twice.
The host acted like it was my fault for being late. They were rude, aggressive, and completely lacking in hospitality. When I finally got the key, after 11 PM, hungry and exhausted, I asked if they could cover an Uber—they refused.
When I finally arrived at the apartment around 11:30 PM, exhausted and hungry, I discovered a dirty and poorly maintained space:
- dirty bedsheets (including pubic hair on them!),
- furniture was dusty,
- the bathroom unclean,
- kettle full of residue, and the wardrobe unusable.
- no chopping board or proper kitchen knife - I had to buy one because they din't want to provide one
- no lighter for the gas stove (which didn’t work until I contacted the host twice, over 24 hrs later).
- minimal toilet paper (I was told to “just go buy some”)
- on Sunday the flush stopped working, and the toilet kept running loudly until Saturday
- I asked for iron which was brought on Sunday but without an ironing board and had the wrong plug for sockets.
Some of this was addressed the next day (the bed sheets), but most issues remained unresolved.
They seem to operate with no care or accountability. Booking.com didn’t help much either. You’re left alone with a dirty, dysfunctional apartment and a hostile host. One of the worst stays I’ve had. I don’t recommend this place under any circumstances.
- Τσακιρελλης (1/5): Bad - Nothing He couldn't say one word in English.. no hot water..no elevator 7th floor..broken flash toilet
- Jakub (7/5): Good - Affordable and close to the city centre. Clean apartment. Responsive communication from the owner. I had to wait some time to get the keys (but not too long) after I arrived at the building within the estimated time. The owner needed additional time to prepare the apartment after the previous guests, but it was fine in our case since we went to the city immediately after getting the keys. It is different from apartments which use a code, but the accomodation could improve coordination of arrival and departure times of guests so they can plan accordingly.
The hot water was not flowing consistently for showering, so it was too hot for a short time and then too cold again, which made taking a shower unpleasant.
The toilet might splash on you a bit after flushing.
