- Michelle (10/5): A must do! - Absolutely perfect, very comfortable and private! Close to Hastings Caves and many other things to explore in the area. We had no trouble whatsoever with solar power/ off grid. We enjoyed Auroras and star gazing from the jetty and house! Absolutely perfect.

- Liz (6/5): We are exploring Tasmania and are basing ourselves in strategic locations from which to explore the surrounding area tho - Wonderful off grid location overlooking Hastings lagoon. Great wood burning stove and system for raising the logs up from the basement. The weather was quite cold so it was essential. The location meant we could explore this remote area with ease. Cockle Creek, Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs were worth a visit. It was impossible to close curtains in both bedrooms to get a good nights sleep as they either were missing or didn’t fit properly. This has obviously affected my/our overall enjoyment of what should’ve been a high score. Sleep mask essential.
- Stuart (8/5): Awesome location, Tassie lived up to the beauty and natural surroundings - The firewood was chopped and ready WiFi was shocking, hard to heat the part of the house we stayed in.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good - The house was beautiful, beds were extremely comfy. My only negative comments were that there was only 1 firelighter so we had to go into town to purchase more - obviously 1 wasn't enough for the 3 nights we were there. Also, the batteries were flat in the tv remote, so another trip into town was needed. Other than those 2 small details, we enjoyed our stay at the Tall Trees house & would definitely recommend others to stay.
- Claire (10/5): Peace & quiet, fishing & wood fire, aurora & stars - simply magical! - Fantastic accommodation in a truly peaceful location. Our family loved staying in this little piece of paradise. The house was so cosy and the views from every window were spectacular. We loved fishing off the jetty (we caught flathead and bream), cosying up in front of the roaring fire and having the space for our boys to roam. Getting to watch the aurora dancing on our second night was a magical experience! We weren't able to get the oven to heat and felt a little anxious about using the power when cooking. Instead, we chose to mostly use the barbeque - which worked perfectly.
