Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): A well appointed studio in a very quiet location - The location was so quiet and peaceful with beautiful gardens of fruit trees, not too far from The Spirit House which is why we were there. Would recommend to our friends without hesitation. Due to the studio being quite close to the house there was a little short cut to get to it but is rocks that was a bit unstable, perhaps some wooden lengths like the ones to the pool area.

- maximus (10/5): - Lovely host Nothing!
- Raelene (10/5): -
- Kim (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable, would definitely recommend to my friends. - The pool house is in a beautiful location …just surrounded by hills and greenery. A kangaroo was grazing nearby in the yard for most of the evening. The little unit itself is beautiful and spacious, extremely clean and with everything you need. Nothing negative to say.
- Claudia (10/5): amazing and lovely retreat space - decoration, peacefullness, very pretty in general, environmental friendly little far and few bugs
- Katharina (10/5): - We are grateful that our last minute booking got accepted and loved the place. Thanks! :)
- Federica (10/5): - Beautiful location, surrounded by lush green trees and plants. The cabin is tastefully decorated and furnished and has all the comforts.
The pool is a nice facility to have available for guests too.
Perfect if you want to enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay.

- Wayne (10/5): Our choice of this property was spot on. Amy the host could not of been more friendly and helpful. It’s a special haven - A serine sanctuary hidden in an area of rainforest and beautiful rolling farm land. The drive in was so eye opening. Nothing
- Catherine (10/5): - Beautiful peaceful location with a trio of kangaroos on the lawn to welcome us including one with a Joey peeking out Nothing
- Brian (9/5): The host was great, allowing us space for the two cars we needed and allowed early check-in. - Location was great for the event we were going to.
- Matthew (10/5): - It was a brilliant location and the host was very flexible and she had a great energy.
- Richard (10/5): Lovely peaceful setting - Very clean and host is generous with little extra touches

- Mark (10/5): Although, I have not stayed with a family due to work use only, I know this would be a perfect place for all to enjoy 👍 - Quite, excellent position, well set out, facilities well catered for, with an excellent host. I’m still trying to find something. 👍
- Renée (7/5): for one night accommodation it was perfect sitting around the fire pit with a glass of wine was just lovely - The property gardens were absolutely beautiful well-maintained. The pool house was lovely and cosy for this time of the year. we really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. if I could make a suggestion maybe some privacy screens in between the pool house and the main house. just so you don’t feel like you’re invading anyone’s privacy. also an extra roll of toilet paper would be handy and in the kitchen there were no dish cloths for washing up with and maybe a rack to dry your dishes on would be good too. and we both found the bed quite uncomfortable felt like a old mattress. Had two big debits in each side. Maybe add a mattress topper. and maybe add a coffee machine.😀
- Graham (7/5): Great spot - even if out of the way - Great location Loved the rainforest Attention to detail.-
1. No wettex/dishcloth
2. Need shelf for liquids in shower
3. Dirt in grooves in table
4. Access to Poolhaus front door

- Sandra (10/5): It was the perfect place for us to stay while up there for a wedding. - Beautiful cabin on a beautiful property. Everything was perfect
- Ronald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): We loved it and would recommend it to anyone - It was quiet in a lovely remote location very clean and roomy I met the host for a minute and he was nice They might put a light at the top of the drive as it was hard to find in the dark
- Mark (10/5): Enjoy a wonderful family, be in peace without the hassles. - No need to comment, see for yourself Perfect
- Kim (10/5): Such a beautiful little getaway to just relax and enjoy the quiet. - I loved that it was so peaceful and relaxing, enjoying a wine outside at night and then a coffee with the sunrise overlooking the pool.
- Stu (10/5): Tranquil and comfortable - Lovely host and beautiful property set in the beautiful Queensland hinterlands
- Mary (9/5): Lovely hosts, gorgeous property. Really enjoyer our stay! - Beautiful location, easy to find, very clean and really lovely hosts. Just a personal preference (because everything was great!), but it would have been helpful to have an iron and a full length mirror in the room.
- Khammany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (5/5): Nice but need to know it is close to the residential house - The studio itself was nice I didn’t like the studio and the pool so close to the residential house, I feel this was deceiving in the photos as the studio and pool looks to be on the property far from the house. Also when we checked out I contacted the host about the internet dropping out a lot and she did not reply. When we drove in at night we could see the family having dinner and decided to walk around the back of the property to access the studio
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully decorated, peaceful space, lovely family.
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (3/5): Opposite of private!!! - Looked up a local therapist as I was in extreme pain. Helped carry my bags in (but not out). Felt cat fished.
Experience was the opposite of private.
I couldn’t find the location (lost mobile service) & st number is not well lit.
Blamed for toilet blockage (I didn’t flush anything i shouldn’t but unsure re. guests before me).
Asked to pay for plumber but I didn’t do anything wrong! A simple plunger would do the trick but she said she didn’t have one, fir a septic toilet that has regular guests I don’t think I should be charged.
Unless doing a number 2 is against the rules?!
I’m mentioning this incase others get charged for using the toilet at this “private” location.
Photos looks more private than the reality.
No private entry & parking in opposite side of the main house.
- Myall (10/5): Quick stop - Brilliant location and easy to find with directions from the host. Be sure to grab a lychee icypole on the way there too (a minute before the turn off).
Place was clean and well.set up for a couple and worked great for me an my 3 year old who just stopped in for the night to head to Australia Zoo in the morning.
The pool.os an absolute winner as is wandering the beautiful yard and admiring all the fruit trees.
For those with big cars. We have a 4wd wagon that's lidted with tyres and a roof pod and there was metres to spare in the car port above the car. I could open the roof pod with no worries at all.
the alternate path to walk along the rocks is absolutely fine for anyone sturdy on their feet. I used this as it felt less intrusive on the house but that's just me. The host encouraged the use of the covered verandah for access which is flat and out of the weather.
- Wayne (9/5): Superb - Love all of it peaceful and quite
- Paula (8/5): I will recommend to friends and come back soon. It's the Peace I'm used to, and the birds are exquis - Forest , birds, Mountain, beautiful palms, peace, pool.
Amy the host is beautiful. 🌺 The mattress, that's all.
- Laurie (10/5): Relaxing - Beautiful rural setting
- Richard (10/5): Nice, very cute, peaceful retreat - cute little bungalow (ADU) beside main house, nicely appointed and furnished
- Barbara (8/5): A lovely place for a peaceful break staying in a charming cabin. - A well-equipped and beautifully decorated cabin in a peaceful bushland setting.
- Maggie (10/5): Tranquil space short drive to Coolum beach - Even though it is close to the main house, it was quiet and the setting both in the evening and early morning was serene. Surrounded by huge trees and lots of birds. Really was exactly what I needed. Very comfortable bed as well as stylishly furnished. I also appreciate the ‘filtered water’ ready on arrival. As an Airbnb host myself, I would rate this as a great choice for solo or couple.

- Feedee (10/5): Exceptional - Tranquil, comfortable, private and oh so cute!!!!! Ideal for a quiet getaway and wished we could have stayed longer. Fabulous setting overlooking the pool and the forest - waking up to the sound of the birds in the trees was lovely. Everything was clean and fresh, with everything we needed at our fingertips. Location is remote but only 1/2hr to Noosa. Amy was wonderful, and checking in a little earlier was no issue at all. Would definitely be back again. Great value for money!!!!! Absolutely nothing!!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (9/5): Gorgeous little pad, spotless and comfortable with friendly host. - Lovely quiet tranquil spot, had everything I needed to be comfortable. As a coffee lover a plunger and fresh coffee would have made my stay perfect!

- Brent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): excellent - very nice, quiet, lovely property. nil
- Wendy (10/5): A wonderfully peaceful experience in a superbly maintained property. - The Poolhaus was simply stunning. The whole property was superb in a naturally beautiful area. However, it was the Studio itself which impressed most. Finished to an exceptional standard and a joy to stay in. The family who own and run The Poolhaus are wonderful hosts and I will, without doubt, be staying there again. Not a thing. Can’t recommend it enough.
- Knight (8/5): Best value for location - What a great host. Accommodating, friendly and respectful of space. We had a last minute booking at 8pm, Amy was on to it
The place was really clean, well thought out facilities and plan. Great space to have a quiet stay. Exactly what we needed.
We'll be back ..
- Candice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Totogirl (10/5): Relaxing stay in a tranquil setting! - What a lovely place to stay - even better than the pictures show which is saying something. We were greeted by two of the most lovely hosts who showed us around their beautiful accommodation. The location is so peaceful and it was the perfect place for me to celebrate my birthday. Immaculately clean and we loved all of the furnishings. We were able to enjoy a Netflix movie to end our evening. It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping in the trees. It was located perfectly for our morning at Eumundi Markets and also a short drive to explore Coolum and even Noosa if we had have had the time. Our only sadness was not being able to have more time there. We would definitely love to stay again and would definitely recommend the Poolhaus Retreat to anyone exploring this part of the Sunshine Coast. Thanks so much Amy and James. Loved everything - unfortunately weather wasn’t the best for us to light the fire pit which would have been just wonderful. But as they say can’t do much about the weather.
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - The property was tucked away on lovely private grounds. We looked over the pool. The hosts and family were very courteous and helpful. Nothing was a problem.
- Catalina (10/5): Easy and beautiful - From the start to the end, the place of amazing, facility 👌 and Amy and James are super easy and very welcoming host
