Guest Reviews
- Kilcollins (10/5): - I loved the apartment it was clean and very centrally located to some nice pubs and restaurants.

- Aaron (1/5): Disappointing - The apartment was spacious. It has taken me a while to review this property as I did not want to review in haste. Overall our experience was disappointing. The apartment was very dirty and looked as if only a little surface cleaning had been done prior to arrival- if that. I pulled one of the beds forward to use a plug and it was filthy. That gave me very little confidence to sleep in the bed so had to try and sleep on the couch. The apartment is grubby and is in desperate need of repair and a renovation. When I took a shower the bath tub felt spongey which is not a good sign and I was afraid I was about to go through the floor. Door handles without screws (kitchen door in particular) so whenever you tried to use the door handle it just came off in your hand. The cleaner had left the tumble dryer running which was extremely over filled so a massive fire risk. The walls had damp patches running down the wall leading to switches which was very concerning. The windows all need replacing. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. I am sorry I don’t have anything to really say that is positive and I hope this feedback is taken as it is intended.. an opportunity to give the apartment the TLC it desperately needs before further bookings/stays.
- Martina (7/5): -
- Talita (9/5): Lovely house, comfortable and clean. Excellent service. - The house is in an area that has a lot of greenery, a lagoon with some geese that we were simply enchanted. Very clean and comfortable house, with a spacious living room. We love it. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Mrs khalifa (8/5): Nice place - All well Nothing
- Andrei (8/5): -
- Colin (6/5): A nice place just needs a bit of tlc - The flat was clean and tidy in a great location A few repairs needed on the flat. Toilet seat was loose, sofa was broken at one end, chair was held together with one screw. Door handle had no screws so fell off.
A few more cups would of been good as it sleeps six people but only 3 cups. Mirrors and drawers or dressing table would of been good in the bedrooms Plenty of everything else though
- nicholas (8/5): -
- Tomasz (8/5): -
- Nell (3/5): Disgusted. - Working washing machine, hot water, heating. The property felt damp and was damp. There was damp on the ceilings. There was large amounts of cobwebs/spiderwbes all over the house, in the bedrooms, ceiling and in crevices such as between cupboards and radiators. The bedsheets were old and felt damp and had disgusting, infuriating stains on them. The stains were were sickly and should not have stayed on the bed, mattresses or duvet and covers.
- Rupert (7/5): Good value for money, safe, secure with free parking space - good location for Olympic Park event. - We have visitied before so knew how to get the keys for the automatic gates - it would still be better to mention that the gate keys were in the lock box at the front door. It could do with a little refresh - we arrived late and elft early, so not essential to us but would make a positive difference.
- JOEL (9/5): Great Apartment, great location -
- Beccy (7/5): -
- Ingrid (8/5): -
- Stephanie (8/5): Overall a nice apartment but could do with a bit of a refurb - It was a quiet block In need of a bit of a refurbishment
- Peter (10/5): - Absolutely perfect apartment for family with 3 children, private carpark, comfy rooms. Towels was a bit wet and stinky.
- Caroline (8/5): - The property was a good base for use, we travelled down for a concert at Tottenham stadium and it was only a few miles away. Enough space for 2 adults and 3 teenage girls. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and there were enough utensils for our one night stay. Not really a negative but we travelled on a weekend when the temperature was 31°, there was only one fan in the whole property which we had in the main bedroom overnight so the rest of the property was very stuffy, a couple of little fans for the other two bedrooms would have been great. The nets in the living room are a little tired, holes in etc which makes it look uncared for but it's nothing that affected our stay.
- Maxine (5/5): Good tube location, needs updating and deep clean - Location was good. 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station. Communication on where the keysafe actually was (spent 10 minutes trying to get into the key safe by the gate of the complex only to work out it was by the front door the far left corner).
When opening the front doot was greeted to the smell of stale smoke.
Where trying to retrieve a item from the side of the bed (twin room), it was very obvious that the bed hadn't been moved in a number of years - the dust/grime was extremely thick. Needs a deep clean!
The apartment was due to sleep 5 people. However, at the dinning table, there was 4 normal chairs and a bar stool. There wasn't enough cups to all have tea at the same time. Microwave hasn't been clean - food spatters from previous visitor hadn't been wiped up (put us off from using it).
Decoration looks a little tired, marks on the living room wall. Discoloration of the silicone in bathroom.
Getting the security deposit was a mission in itself. Text/emailed to confirm checking out, received confirmation that all was ok and deposit would be refunded. Had to follow up with them 15 days later to ask where it was.
- Zamara (2/5): Unfortunately, our stay at this property was disappointing, primarily due to cleanliness and safety concerns. To start, -
- Sara (7/5): Good value, good location - Great location with easy access to a Tube station for a trip to London Stadium. Could have done with a bit of detail of where on the complex the apartment is and that one of the keysafes is redundant. Would have been tricky if it was dark, or if a solo traveller would mean leaving your car to block the narrow access road approaching the security gate. Another resident pointed us in the right direction.
Given the emphasis on rubbish deposal etc, I expected the cleaning to be spotless. It was fair, but I found an empty water bottle from the previous person by the side of the sofa, and the bathroom floor could have been cleaned more thoroughly (hair/dust in the corner when the door was shut). Bathroom could do with a little TLC, hence a 'good' rating.
- Rupert (6/5): Good value, easy to find, safe and secure with good parking facilities - plenty of space for 4. - Easy to find the property, safe/secure location, parking was great and plenty of it, price was good in this location + internet easy to log onto Struggled to get through the electric gates with the car - would have been good to know the gate key fob was on the property keys in the lick box at the apartment. Needs a lick of paint to make it a little smarter.
- Miles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burenda (9/5): It was very a pleasant stay. - I liked how homely the property was and the space was lovely and area quite. I didn’t like the stairs as I wasn’t aware of the steps and that the gate would sometimes not open despite having the fob. Maybe some visuals would be good.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - I was really pleased that it was a gated property, so then it meant the van was safe over night and not having to worry if it was going to be broken into.
- Nathalie (7/5): Good -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florencia (10/5): 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 - It was big enough for our family and well situated. It offered free parking and it was a gated neighborhood. There was no outside noise or loud neighbors so that was great! The bathroom hand held shower hose did not stay in place so it was uncomfortable to have to hold it while you shower. Maybe a little upgrade would help.
- Anthony (3/5): Memorable for all the wrong reasons :-( - The location is good for getting into London.
Its relatively quiet and felt quite secure for leaving the car. The images from the host on booking.com are misleading because they were clearly taken a long time ago, with the benefit of hindsight.
The property no longer reflects its current state. The fixtures, fittings, bedding, furnishings, and crockery are mostly dated, inadequate, or even dangerous. For instance, one of the power points was cracked, and a couple of the door handles were literally falling off. The limited crockery had to be washed before use, and the grubby finger marks around the bathroom door and light switch were unpleasant.
The windows and doors are old, and several are permanently misted due to perished seals.
Overall, the apartment had a musty, unclean vibe that didn’t feel welcoming. My wife and daughter were in tears when they realized it was late and we had no other available accommodation options nearby.
The check-in process was confusing because we had to literally walk into the flat complex and find the correct apartment. We even had to ask a local for help. After unlocking the key box, we had to return to our car to open the security gate. Fortunately, while we were struggling in the dark, another resident needed to get their car in, so they opened the gates for us.
It was a 10-15 minute walk to Snaresbrook station for my family to get into central London, which was the purpose of our visit—to enjoy the city at Christmas. Unfortunately, we will struggle to forget the accommodation.
I can take this level of disappointment with a pinch of salt, you live and learn but my wife and kids were not happy at all.
Surprised this accommodation is available on booking.com.
Disappointed.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Gail (4/5): Disappointing - The flat is a great location and gated secure parking Everything is very poor the flat has mould in various rooms the worst being the main bedroom. The heating & hot water did not work all weekend. The owner did communicate with us and was trying to help but we nevet got any heating or water all weekend. The property could be good but needs a mould treatment and a clean.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Kobir (1/5): Bad - Gateshead and private delt safe Lights didn't work the entire stay, first night no heating,no help from booking.com rubbish
- Stephen (7/5): Comfy and spacious apartment tucked away in north London - Quiet location, spacious, comfy, good value for money, helpful staff. Was a bit damp and musty when we first arrived. Easily resolved with an air freshener or two.
The security deposit process was a bit clunky but ultimately worked fine.
Some more instructions would have been helpful - eg how to access the gated parking when you first arrived; how to work the hot water and heating.
A few extra items in the kitchen wouldn’t go amiss - eg some trays for the oven.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (3/5): Not value for money - Not much Loose headboard, loose toilet seat, no toilet roll, no door to room, cracked tiles and poor decor. The tv had no aerial, fridge door Hardly opened. Left the flat at. 7:45am all cars on main road double parked for school run. Could not get out and was late arriving at the job site. Window handles missing
- Trevor (7/5): Good -
- Provost (9/5): Superb - The apartment is located in a quiet, gated area, which was really nice after the long, busy days visiting London!
The beds were very comfy, and there were plenty of towels available.
Unit comes with a dishwasher and washer and dryer which was very handy
- Tracy (6/5): Pleasant - It's in a good location including transport links and it was nice to be in a gated complex. The apartment was clean but not spotless. It is a little tired and would benefit from some TLC. A lick of paint, mould treatment and a deep clean would work wonders. Also purchasing sets of glasses, cups etc to match would make a big difference to the rental experience.
- Christian (7/5): Nice apartment in quiet neighborhood. - We liked the neighborhood. Smack in the middle of a park, close to metro and bus stops. Some reviewers didn't agree that it's close to the metro. We are all different of course but a 10 minute walk isn't far in my book. There is an alternative, a bus stop right outside that takes you all the way to the metro station. Great when it rains.
We liked the well working appliances. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The beds were surprisingly comfy.
Off street parking is worth a lot. On the down side, the kitchen could use some additional things. Large knives, new cutting boards and large bowls were things our family felt were missing.
Others have mentioned the cleanliness and the general state of the apartment. We agree that it could use some fixing up. It could look great with not too much effort.
But it's not a show stopper. Everything worked as intended.
The apartment was clean enough, but not spotless.
- Suzanne (1/5): Terrible - avoid at all cost - Nothing. The property was dirty, filled with dust and mould. It set off severe allergies with the intense damp smell. Sheets felt damp, in fact some in the cupboard were still wet. Like others have said, the kitchen did not have the amenities it had promised. Three forks, no oven tray, no tea towel.
This was not a kid friendly property. Third floor with no lift. TV and a shoe cabinet not fixed to the wall properly. The shoe cabinet would come away from the wall when opened. The windows opened all the way and easy for kids to open.
We ended up leaving early and moving to another property in Wanstead. I would recommend avoiding this property.
- Dominic (8/5): Very good -
- Monika (2/5): Would recommend people NOT to stay in the property. - The location was nice and green, close to underground and a short walk to town It was absolutely FILTHY! Would not recommend anyone staying there. Food stains on kitchen counters, dirty utensils and cups. Had to clean everything we wanted to use as they had food/drink residue on them. The description states the kitchen is fully equipped but only had three forks, although the property is advertised for six people. Oven too dirty to put anything in it. Hair on the bathroom floor, dirty bath mat which clearly hasn’t been changed for a long time, broken bath. Property description was promising shower gels, shampoo etc none of it was found, except from 2 toilet rolls. Mould on windows which you could smell as soon as you walked through the front door. Bed sheets weren’t fresh either and smelled bad. Broken dinning table.
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Abby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (5/5): Wouldn't recommend - The location as it was near where I was visiting. Had washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. It was dirty in places, floor was dusty, heating barley worked, shower was stuck on boiling and ended up scalding me, doors were broken and alot of damage in places. The bed sofa was dangerous so son ended up on the sofa itself uncomfortable, only 1 walldrope. It was a flat with separate entrance on 2nd floor 26 steps so not suitable for a family with young children or disabled. No tea, coffee etc as mentioned. Coffee machine doesn't work
- Simeran (3/5): A trip for a family wedding turned into a long stressful stay. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. - Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at the property and with the host. The only good thing was that the property has an entrance which is gated and opens with a remote control. I would definitely avoid booking this property as the hosts asks for £150 security deposit along with ID after booking which is not mentioned in the initial booking description. I emailed the host to kindly ask if the property could be sufficiently cleaned and we could be provided with towels etc. as I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant and didn’t want the hassle of contacting the host and disturbing them. We arrived at 10pm on the 6th April and upon entering the property, it smelled of mould and it is apparent that the property is in needs of repairs. There was no “free toiletries” such as hand wash, hand towels, shampoo, shower gel or soap. We checked the bedrooms out and found that in each room the bedding was dirty and not washed by housekeeping. Finally there was broken items throughout the kitchen, bathroom and living space, and the hot shower tap in the bathroom was broken and very hot. I emailed the host on the 6th April explaining this and they said that they would get housekeeping to fix the bedding and toiletries and they would personally come on the 7th April with maintenance to look at the other issues and try to resolve them but if they could not they would look to reimburse me. I phoned the host on the 7th April at 4pm, then 5pm and finally at 5:30pm and it just kept going to voicemail. The host failed to reply or keep me updated on when they would be coming to the property on the 7th April. We decided to check out that evening at 7pm as we couldn’t stay another night without the issues being resolved. I emailed the host and explained I was not happy about it. The host didn’t ring me back but emailed to say that because I decided to check out before they could resolve it that it wasn’t anything they could do. I was shocked and disappointed that there was no apology or at least an attempt to resolve things. I emailed the host again on the 8th April and got no response. I waited a few days before I had to contact booking.
- Tim (8/5): Enjoyable and peaceful location - Location Lack of maintenance
- Samantha (7/5): It was okay but on a night very cold - The area was very quiet and the gates facilities was a good touch The property did not completely look like the pictures. The flat was dated and the pics must of been taken a very long time ago. Cleaning could have been better. Windows need double glazing and it was cold even after trying to put on the heater it was freezing. Kitchen needs dish clothes and dish towels to dry plates.
- Anne (6/5): It's an ok place to stay but don't expect too much - It had everything you needed.
Spacious place, enough room for 6 people to sleep but just one bathroom. It wasn't super clean, it just felt like they do the minimum to get people stay there.
They asked for a £150 security deposit which was a surprise.
No mirror in the bathroom.
One of the mattresses is too big for the bed.
- Chantelle (10/5): We had a brilliant time staying at the property, very quiet, homely and a great place to stay. - Very clean and homely, lovely quiet place to stay. Very beautiful also. Property was absolutely fine, lovely place.
- Nayara (10/5): Confort and perfect location in London - Comfortable flat, with household items available. Excellent location, and with parking for car.
The host was very kind to us. I definitely recommend it. Everything was as we saw in the description of the site. There's nothing we didn't like.
- Attila (7/5): It was good overall! - Easy access to property. N/A
- Shoesmith (9/5): Superb -
- Olivia (5/5): Clearly used out of date photos on listing. Apartment had damp everywhere. - Host was responsive and helpful when we struggled accessing the apartment on arrival. Had secure parking facilities. Windows were covered in damp and heavy amounts of condensation which they had tried to hide behind net curtains. There were broken door handles, dirty scatter cushions on sofa, bar stool at the dinner table instead of a chair as shown in original listing, dirty marks on sofa. Listing clearly used out of date photos and when I brought this up with them, I was advised that because I didn't let them know on arrival, that there was nothing they could do about it. I'm sorry but the issues I brought up could not have been fixed in one single visit, and should not have been left to that extent before my visit, also considering they mention a cleaning team that go round after every visitor. Not impressed at all.
- Natalie (8/5): Very good - Ideal size for our family of 6. Comfortable and had all we needed. Very reasonably priced for the stay and location
- Clare (6/5): October stay - Good location,15 minutes walk to snaresbrook station with easy access to london.
Great base to explore
Room for a family of 6
Toby carvery was a 10 minute walk along the lovely duck pond
The sofa in the living room pulls out to make a bed .. didn't know this until the second night! Not in the description.
Didn't use the car park but it looked very secure.
Quiet neighbourhood which was well kept The house needs a bit of money spent in it .
The bathroom needs a lick of paint and toilet seat fixing,
Door handles need fixing
Needs more cooking equipment
The shower was way too hot as the thermostat adjuster was broken , worked out that we needed to turn the temperature down on the kitchen boiler .
I think with a little time and effort it could be a lovely place.
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Junaid (9/5): Superb - Very spacious and well kept property. Heating was a bit slow and with the cold English weather it was needed.
- Grzegorz (7/5): Good - Quite a spacious apartment with just enough kitchen equipment to cook and eat a simple dinner for 6. Plenty of spare TP;)
Nice location. Gated parking. Pass code for a key box was provided incorrect. It took some time to get a landlord to pick up a phone and give us with a correct one.
The key-fob to the entrance gate not working so had to rely on neighbours to let us in!
5 towels for 6 ppl.
Dusted but not really pristine clean.
No mirror in the bathroom.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Abeidi (9/5): Was nice I like it I recommend 😀 - It was nice Towels wasn’t dry
- Viktorija (10/5): Would definitely recommend and would go back again! - Very clean and tidy 1st floor apartment. Great size with spacious rooms. Very easy to get to. Nice Forest view outside. Has everything you might need from bedding to plates, glasses, towels etc. Safe and secure parking with locked gates. Great location for travel to London. 13min walk to the nearest underground station. Very easy communication with the owner , you get notified of every little detail you might need.
- Anonymous (9/5): Perfect place to stay whilst you travel around London. - Plenty of space. Easy to find. Quiet throughout the day. Lots of parking. All the facilities that you need. Very safe and secure.
- Rasheed (8/5): Very good -
- Downes (8/5): Nice stay would come back. - Felt safe, nice car park for van, nice host, flat clean and tidy Not enough cooking equipment, not 1 baking tray or even a pizza tray.
- Robin (5/5): Nice apartment in excellent location, in urgent need of some tlc to improve guest’s experience. - Location, very quiet and peaceful Poorly equipped kitchen (2 cups for 6 people), tired decor, blocked sink, bedding obviously well used.
- Salma (1/5): Disgusting, deceitful ,it is a scam . Booking .com should not keep properties like this. - Nothing, absolutely hated everything about this place Where do I start:
1. Old, dilapidated building.
2. NO AC, musty spelling. Had two floor fans for a 3 bedroom apartment and out of the 2 one was broke. When we asked the host about the AC he said this is london it doesn't get hot , open the windows. When we opened the windows bugs started to come in.
3. We had to drag our 3 luggages through the narrow 3 stairs flight, no elevator.
4 . The cleaning person left bedsheets drying in the dryer from the previous guests stay. But the dryer doesn't work so wet steam was coming out of the dryer.
5. Bathroom was nasty , black mold, mildew everywhere. Did not have any bath soap, 90% empty hand soap only.
6. Shower only ran hot water , only the tub filler taps water worked
It is disgraceful to cheat people like this by advertising properties like such as good rating. BEWARE DO NOT STAY in this property.
- Ng (8/5): Very good -
- Mazzalini (10/5): dealing with it was amazing - kitchen location
- Guluzar (8/5): - - - -
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very spacious and well put together as presented in the photos, and is located in a very safe and peaceful neighbourhood. All of the amenities that were promised were provided and we lacked for nothing.
Overall the whole family had a wonderful stay and we'd definitely book again.
- Maria (10/5): Great, thank you! - Lovely apartment, great value for money. Great location as we stayed near family. Was right by forest so nice scenery but not too far from the tube to get around London. Quick and efficient correspondence from the host. Apartment was spotlessly clean! The cleaner arrived as we were leaving and helped us carry our bags down to the car too which was very kind. We had a fabulous stay and hope to book again. We didn’t know about the security deposit until we’d booked so would be good to know in advance. However, it was paid back to us very promptly in full after our departure.
- Shaun (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (9/5): Great stay for two nights with family - The apartment was well equipped and very comfy. Lovely surroundings and nice to be near such a lot of green space in the city. Beds very comfy and lots of storage space for clothes etc. Had a three year old with us so glad of how spacious it was for room to play and hide and seek! Great hosts, very communicative. Nothing!
- Sarah (9/5): Very clean property had everything we needed - We were visiting the excel for an event. Location was fine as we had a car although teh tube station only cost £5 in a taxi.
- Anonymous (8/5): satisfied… we will definitely stay again in future 😉 - We all like kitchen… heating… shower… mattress and dovet… The sofas are also comfortable… the dinning table was big and chairs were also very comfortable to sit. All rooms are very clean and well attended We all experienced that pillows were too high. Door handles were not great, some of them already broke or not working properly including toilet seat screws.
- Devon (7/5): Good -
- Liam (5/5): Passable - Location was good Too many warnings ⚠️.. messages and emails do this and this failure to do so we will fine you.. deposit of £150 was not clear until we booked the accommodation..
