Guest Reviews
- Angela (7/5): - Not included
- Angela (7/5): Perfect for working away -
- Alexandro (1/5): Do not book save yourself the money - The bed First of, the flat location is very misleading. It is located on a side street at the rear of the building. The window located near the bed overlooks the communal bin area which was full of old smelly trash. The window has blinds but it is located where everyone in the block must walk past. The blinds are straight and allows for visibility into the flat at the right angles. This, coupled with the fact that the door Is only secured by a single lock hinge makes the property feel unsafe and uneasy.
The entrance to the building was propped open by a cinder block which i expect was as a result of the property being insufferably hot. It is clear that the property was built or converted cheaply with dry walls and insulation. Whilst there is some sound proofing, the door is flimsy and allows noise to pass through.
The owner did leave 2 fans showing they understood the property was hot but this is only assisted to cycle the heat around. Given the windows close proximity to the public and frequently used passage way, it didn't feel safe to open the window.
The kitchen (if you can even call it that) smelled like damp and there were clear signs of previous water damage. The shower had mildew growing but was passable given the other issues.
The main problem I had was the property owners misrepresentation. After I had paid the booking fee in full, they demanded I pay a non refundable waiver fee or a refundable deposit. This was to cover "accidental damage" which when reviewed, could be any damage to the property during our stay, even where the damage was not caused by us. Whilst the owner ultimately dropped this requirement after arguing this was not noted on the booking prior to paying, I can't imagine how much addition money he has made for something that shouldn't be allowed.
Ultimately, we ended up leaving the property after the second day and booking another place which was much nicer and half the cost.
- Moritz (6/5): Bad location of flat in good neighbourhood, fine if you only want to sleep there, close to Wimbledon - It was clean and comfortable. As on the pictures. Good contact with host. It was very warm in the flat despite any heater turned on or warm weather and ground location. There was plenty of bulky waste placed against the outside of the only window.
- Werner (1/5): Everything. Blinds were broken, Windows couldn’t open properly but with it being the only windows in the room, they open - Neighborhood Other than clean bedding, everything else was terrible.
- Sophia (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this place! Had everything we needed, and the host made sure we had the best time!
